I elected to take it to Carstar since it was one of the State Farm Select Service collision repair shops in the area and because of the outstanding customer reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed. Grant, whose business card lists him as an Estimator, was with me every step of the process. He welcomed me to the business, examined my car, discussed repair issues with me, and arranged a time for drop off and pick up since I was going put of town on vacation. I dropped my car off, went on my trip, and picked the car up when I returned. The car looks good as new! The body work was done and the car was thoroughly washed and cleaned and ready to go. Grant texted me during the process to make sure I was informed of progress. He was excellent! I depend on Yelp reviews when having to deal with choosing between unfamiliar businesses. I was comfortable choosing Carstar due to the rave reviews from Yelpers. Add me to the list of customers who enthusiastically recommend this as a place to have auto body work done.

They give me my quote and I drop my car off they anticipate it taking about 2 weeks to finish cool. I call them asking for updates after it had been almost a month and they tell me that the OEM headlights that they ordered came in broken and were on back order until December. So they recommend after market headlights as this was in September when they told me. I don't get headlights on my car that came in for a broken bumper for 3 months! Then I get my car back and everything seems fine until i notice there's a water leak in my headlights and then one of my bulbs goes out. I go to change my bulbs and messed with the conversion kit and got the wrong bulbs so i go back to carstar for them to tell me which ones i need to get. They tell me and I order them mind you they are of no help at all getting this fixed they told me they would reach out if it gets approved to fix by insurance and they never reached out I had to call them 2 weeks later after not having headlights for a months and zero help from these people. So i ordered the kit and put it in the car myself very simple unlike what Mike was saying about how complicated it is. Fast forward to about a week ago one of my headlights goes out again and at this point Im convinced it's because they didn't put the headlights assembly in correctly. As the bulbs haven't even been in a month and my headlights fog up anytime the car gets washed or is in rain. I decided to look at my invoice from them and do some research turns out these people never ordered the OEM bmw headlights and still charged it to the invoice along with lying to me for months about what is going on with my car saying that the headlights came in broken and were on back order since my car is 'rare' when they never even ordered it in the first place. These headlights cost $900 per headlight. I called the bmw shop they said they it from on the invoice and they hadn't sold the part since 2022! At the very bottom of the invoice they charged me $165 for aftermarket headlights and conversion kit in the miscellaneous repairs. These people are scammers and idiots that don't know how to work on cars take your business elsewhere unless you want them to use you to commit fraud along with holding your vehicle for 3 months! Horrible service from these people and also since my car sat in their shop for 3 months on a lie my starter went out and that was a nice extra $500 for something that wouldn't have happened at a body shop that's going to charge an arm and a leg for a simple repair you can do in your garage had they actually done their job.

Took my C43 to get appraised & Jozeph the sales rep along with the manager gave me a whopping offer of $21k. Made no sense to sell for 21k when the car is worth 34k+. Then, very arrogantly continued to tell me that my car had an "accident" on the Carfax report that significantly lowered the value. Which I later found out it was all BS after I paid for the CarFax report there was no accidents reported. He also continued to talk about me only having 1 key and making any excuse to lowball. I then presented him with my Carmax offer of $26.6k and he said they would not pay that and if I got lucky to get $23k I should take it. Not only did Carmax grant their 26.6k offer, they also paid my loan off and cut me a check for the additional 5.6k the same day. No questions asked and hassle free. Stay away from this dealership because I can't imagine what else they do to their buying customers.
