Ordered a pizza via Slice app. The pizza arrived smashed into the corner of the box with a grease stain on the top inside where the pizza hit upon impact. The box was damaged. I'm a local and decided to try this place for the first time. I won't return. I gave the delivery driver a 20% tip because the job is challenging. I regret it because there is no excuse for dodging responsibility for a mistake. An apology or being told upfront would have gone a long way. Accidents happen. Taking onus and fixing the situation is not Gerardo's forté Slice offered a 20% discount. The pizzeria should have refunded the entire price. They said their pizza is bigger than the box so it may looked smashed. The pictures below are so future potential customers can decide for themselves . The man who own`s the pizzeria now has a very bad attitude, he is rude to the customers as well as his employee`s. I tried to give it another chance but he was just as rude today as well. I hate to write this review, but since the old owners sold the pizzeria nothing has really been the same except the name on the front of the building. The old owners were tired and miserable, but they ran a tight ship and put out a good product. I will trade a little attitude for a good product any day. After all it's a NY pizza joint, that's expected right? The new guys look overwhelmed, barely speak English and have burnt my slices the last 2 times I've been there with no one else in the place. The product isn't the same, the service isn't the same, it's more expensive and unfortunately a little dirtier. We ordered a large pizza and fries to enjoy as part of our weekly football pizza party. When I say party, I hope you understand I am talking about the two of us. The food came quicker than expected on a Sunday afternoon. The pizza was appropriately sized with a thin crust, tasty sauce, and adequate amount of cheese. It was a very solid NY pie. Unfortunately, the fries were soggy and undercooked. They could've really benefited from some time in our air fryer but I didn't feel like cleaning that shit afterwards so we ate them as is. Ok so first off this is a giant no from me. We ordered a Sicilian pie half meatball half pepperoni and a 2 L of Coke. Not only did they take well over an hour to deliver probably only about five blocks from me but they charged us $6.75 for a bottle of Coca-Cola. Only ordered one we didn't order three or four we only ordered one and they charged us $6.75 for it. The pizza also wasn't anything extraordinary. The pizza here has gone way downhill in the last month or two, and it's consistently been that way. Delivery person ignored multiple signs demanding they wear a mask during a global pandemic. Unfortunately, the apartment building doesn't have a full time guard so he shamelessly waltzed right in, walked up to elderly relatives door (which also has a mask required sign on it), and knocks. Parents are over 80 years old with pre-existing conditions. When I called to ask Gerardo's about it, they could not care less - they said they don't police their delivery people and as long as the order was correct, no problem. After all this incompetence, the pizza tasted like something out of the freezer. We could have gotten an Elio's for 1/10th of the price and it would have tasted better. This place was never good, not compared to Basilico, Sinapi's, Mario's, hell, even Miraggio's... but it seems as though they've just laid down and given up. Sad really. read more

I've been eating in Gerardo's and ordering food for years. The past year or so their prices have gotten exorbitant and recently we ordered clams oragenata and shrimp scampi for my birthday dinner. Instead of giving me clams oregonata, I got clams casino which I don't like. They were super salty and so was the shrimp scampi. When I called to tell them I received the wrong order, they told me just eat those clams, you'll like them, which I didn't. After spending over $60 dollars for dinner, they made no effort to rectify their mistake or offer me credit. I wouldn't give them business because they don't care if they get any. read more

Gerardos is a regular for my family and me whenever we're driving through Mt. Kisco at dinnertime. If we lived closer, we'd be there even more frequently. Though it's got a middle class decor and isn't that fancy (the restaurant half is right next to the pizza half), the prepared meals are absolutely first rate. Particularly good is the chicken francese, which my wife and I love. (It comes with pasta, salad, and warm bread.) The portions are very generous. And the wait staff--male and female--is terrific, very personable and attentive. Gerardos will even accommodate unusual requests, such as for a plain chopped iceberg salad in place of the more elaborate salad it usually offers.
