It was really hard to choose which book to pick up and my best friend picked up a magazine and a book to meet the Crawl criteria. Definitely going to be coming back!

Looking through all of the adorable stuffed animals, puzzles, and books, it was easy to feel like kid again! What I also liked about this store is the great selection of educational items as well. The staff here was so friendly and knowledgeable. When I wanted to pick out some books and games, the helpful employees knew exactly which books and puzzles I needed. Apparently this info was in yesterday's (late) instagram post but was NOT on the flyer that was passed out. I only saw the flyer. My two girls had a soccer tournament and couldn't be there. I wasn't there standing in the scorching sun for two hours for myself; I was there waiting for goodie bags FOR MY KIDS! The manager at seaport village, Gracie, absolutely refused to make an exception. They refused to give me goodie bags for my daughters. And everyone in line around me saw this and also thought it was absurd how rigid the staff were. People were offering up their kids to help me get goodie bags for my girls, but I didn't take them up on that because I don't want to be deceitful. I've spent so much money at Geppettos and have been a loyal customer for years. My husband and I also run a nonprofit for children with cystic fibrosis, where we buy the children tons of gifts (mostly toys) over the holidays and throughout the year, when they're often stuck in the hospital (at Rady's). We will no longer be supporting Geppettos after this incident today at Seaport village. We will be buying toys and gifts for our nonprofit organization and our own children (and their friends) elsewhere from now on.

Date of visit: July 24, 2024…read more As part of Comic-Con 2024, Now Or Never Comics was participating in the festivities in two ways - by having a raffle for three CGC-rated books with purchase of the most recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles book... and a free pizza party. AUTOMATIC FIVE-STAR RATING! Okay, besides that, Now or Never is one of the few (if not only) comic book stores in Downtown San Diego. It's actually cleaner and more organized than the ones I frequent, but the relatively small size of the building means they don't have as much in stock as I'd like. Case in point, I wanted to show my appreciation for supporting SDCC by getting a couple of graphic novels of Trese and Usagi Yojimbo, but the ones I wanted weren't in stock. But, given how I was surprised to see a comic book store a few blocks away from the Convention Center, I can see myself probably checking it out again whenever I'm in the area.

There was only 3 people in there with me. Cashier mostly stayed at the desk and do paperwork. And only gave us a quick hi and bye. The shop had exclusive items for Tokidoki's 20th so I bought a tee from them as well. Regarding parking, usually you can rely on street parking or might be able to find a lot where you pay to park.
