The store itself is cute and has a nice selection of books and toys, which makes this even more disappointing. The issue was the employee working that evening. I asked a very simple, polite question whether I could throw away a small straw wrapped in a paper towel and was met with an unnecessarily rude and dismissive response. I've worked in retail for years, and I understand being tired at the end of a shift, but basic courtesy should still be expected. The attitude was completely unprofessional and honestly off-putting. Because of that interaction alone, I would not return if that employee is working again. It's unfortunate that one person's behavior can ruin what would have otherwise been a pleasant experience.

AUTOMATIC FIVE-STAR RATING! Okay, besides that, Now or Never is one of the few (if not only) comic book stores in Downtown San Diego. It's actually cleaner and more organized than the ones I frequent, but the relatively small size of the building means they don't have as much in stock as I'd like. Case in point, I wanted to show my appreciation for supporting SDCC by getting a couple of graphic novels of Trese and Usagi Yojimbo, but the ones I wanted weren't in stock. But, given how I was surprised to see a comic book store a few blocks away from the Convention Center, I can see myself probably checking it out again whenever I'm in the area.

The shop had exclusive items for Tokidoki's 20th so I bought a tee from them as well. Regarding parking, usually you can rely on street parking or might be able to find a lot where you pay to park.
