Sofia's had a Hello Kitty "parol" (Filipino lantern) making activity for Christmas, which sadly I missed. I'll have to come back next year for this, if they have it again. Overall, great place to get all things Hello Kitty, without having to go to the mall.

That pillar is spectacular and makes you so curious you can't help but go inside. It is a toy and trinket lovers dream! They have every tchotchke you could imagine for young and old(er). There are signs throughout the store to let you know the cost of the toys in the various coloured bins. Things ranged from $1 to $10 I believe. Extremely cost-friendly, especially for kids. We walked around and reminisced about our favourite childhood toys, most of which were in the store. I found exactly what I was looking for and then some with the help of the friendly staff. Be sure to pop in and stroll down memory lane.

Replay toys greedy down fall When I first visited Replay…read moretoys I was thrilled, finding a toy store with vintage and second hand toys is a true gem. I told lots of my friends about it and was a frequent visitor. The prices when I discovered Replay a couple years ago , were reasonable for the location. Unfortunately the 15 minutes of online fame seems to have been what caused the prices to sky rocket. Toys that you can now buy at Walmart for $5 (they are not vintage you can purchase them TODAY at a Walmart ) are sold at a 300% increase, which is frankly greedy, considering these are toys marketed for kids. In addition to the greedy up sale, the store also carries cheap trinkets and squishy that are obviously ordered cheap in bulk from china and sold for another egregious up charge. Money aside , the owner also allows vendors to use AI generated images to advertise their booths. I shouldn't have to explain why welcoming AI use in 2026 is a disgusting thing to do. What a big F you to any artists who enters the store. Replay toys does not care if AI takes your job as long as you give them your money. What a disappointment this place has become.

Worker immediately greeted us and let us know to ask them if we had any questions. There's J-pop and Anisong playing in the store, they hold community events, and there's a wide variety of Gunpla, Gunpla building accessories, other anime figs/goods, blind boxes, etc. Great place to grab a gift for an anime loving fan. I also have to commend the shop for having a really cool custom mural of a Gundam overlooking San Diego. That's how you know that there's some real local love. The only point of comparison that I have with Gunnzo is the older Anime Jungle in LT and that sometimes feels like a TSA line to get in. Great price point comparison. I'm sadly not a huge mecha person and the last fig kits I built were for FGO, but I would definitely stop by again!

It's made a comeback, they have it in toys, keychains, clip ons for back packs & as bags & made into other merch items. Kind of pricey but they are iconic, cute & my girls love them. I even seen moms buying them for their purses or as key chains. They also have other cool stuff & characters, many books too & other toys. Customer service is great, the owner & staff are real nice & helpful. The store exchanged it, but the replacement failed as well. Being sold one defective product is unfortunate. Being sold two in a row and then told a refund was not possible is poor customer service. We made multiple trips and still ended up with a broken toy. It's hard to understand why a business would choose to lose a customer over a $22 item. What should have been a simple customer service issue turned into a frustrating ordeal. Very disappointing.
