He basically was watching him the entire time or in the store, which was no more than 5 minutes because of how uncomfortable he made us feel. Warranty Experience with Chef's Toys and Mulberry Technology…read moreInitial Purchase and Expectations In 2023, we invested a total of $26,472.61, which included taxes and two warranty insurance plans, for a 3-door KINTORA refrigerator and a 2-door KINTORA freezer. Our initial experience was smooth and hassle-free, largely thanks to our salesperson, Estaban Aguirre. Unfortunately, we later discovered that Estaban was no longer with the company. The Issue Arises On March 6, 2026, the hinge of our 3-door KINTORA refrigerator broke, rendering the refrigerator unusable. Since we had purchased a warranty, we immediately reached out to Estaban for assistance, only to learn from Raul Flores that Estaban was no longer employed with Chef's Toys. Raul provided us with contact information for Mulberry Technology, who was supposed to handle our warranty claims. Challenges with the Warranty Process This marked the beginning of a frustrating ordeal. It quickly became apparent that Chef's Toys was not well-acquainted with Mulberry Technology. Raul initially gave us an incorrect contact number for starting our claim. He directed us to Joshua Wohl at Mulberry, who, while not involved in claims processing, was helpful enough to connect us with the appropriate department--after we had already experienced several unhelpful responses from Raul. After sending our purchase order to Karime, our contact at Mulberry, we learned that Chef's Toys had never registered our protection plan with Mulberry or transferred the necessary funds for our warranty. We attempted to follow up with Raul but received no response until we escalated our concerns to Chef's Toys' corporate office. Unfortunately, reaching out to their main line at 714-662-2433 during business hours of M-F between 9am-5pm only led to a voicemail, and our emails through their website also went unanswered. This is TERRIBLE! Resolution and Lingering Frustrations Eventually, Raul from Chef's Toys responded and offered a courtesy repair for our refrigerator door but informed us that our remaining warranty coverage would not be honored. This was frustrating, as we had already paid for the warranty. During this period, on March 25, the Health Department visited and deducted points from our inspection due to the non-functional equipment. We promptly notified Raul about the urgency, as another inspection was scheduled for April 6. Fortunately, the Health Department accepted our communication with Raul and a photo of the completed repair as proof. The entire process--from the breakdown on March 6 to the repair on April 6--took a full month. This delay was disappointing, especially given that waiting for a part should not have justified such a lengthy timeline; someone could have delivered the part to expedite the repair.

I love to cook & I see all the possibilities of the items to make life easier or more efficient here. My santoku is starting to become dull & needs sharpening. I couldn't my favorite chef 's knife (the whole knife block cannot be found!) Hubby found a chefs knife & he got me the sharpener. I told him I wanted to get the stone/honing block but he opted for the metal kind. The staff are super helpful & answered our questions. There so many "toys" I wanted to buy but I must resist the urge to amass more "clutter" (that's what Hubby calls it, but he reaps the benefit when he eats what I cook). I still need a dumpling rolling pin, but they only have standard types at this location. Aisles are fairly spacious & inventory appears well stocked, neatly arranged & sorted. Prices are fair & marked accordingly. It has its own designated free parking lot. Good shopping trip, met our goals.

I have shopped at this location several times, staff is friendly, nice selection of cookware, dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, mixes, spices, etc. I have taken 2 cooking classes there. Including a class for Steak, Salad, Mousse. It was fun, and informative. Class was a little over 2 hours. We were taught by a renowned chef who walked us through every step in the process. See attached pictures, but in the end, we had a delicious meal prepared by all 4 of us at our station. We also got a discount to use that day on any items we purchased. In addition we were emailed the recipe and ingredient list, and a coupon on a future class. I recommend a class if you have time.

I'm glad I found out about the cooking classes when I just happened to be in the store. There was a schedule for that month posted on the back wall near the restrooms. I immediately wanted to take a baking class then ended up taking several classes like Knife Skills, Intro to Sushi, Delicious Dim Sum, Tamale Making just to name a few. When I was inside the store, the staff were always very friendly and helpful. The chefs were consistently amazing to learn from. They were great with walking the class through the steps and answering our questions at the same time. I loved their team approach...having us work in a group or in a pair depending on the capacity in the kitchen. An added bonus was taking the recipes home. I remember a few years back it was nice to sit down as a class, eat together and socialize; but nowadays, I noticed we've been taking our dishes home. I wonder if it recently went back to how it was originally. Anyway, I always had a fun time cooking, learning something new and meeting people. I wandered around, thinking it wouldn't hurt to keep shopping, then I saw the 2-handled 3.5 quart Everyday Pan in Sea Salt blue. OMGOSH-the color is so beautiful! Sherry told me that this particular piece is her fav pan and thought I might like it better than a nonstick skillet (how ordinary). I was in love with the color and imagined I really would love it, so I changed my mind and bought this Everyday Pan instead. Since I bought it 5 days ago, this pan has hardly been put away! I made Marsala Chicken, omelettes, and grilled cheese sandwiches twice. The Marsala sauce reduced in about 1/2 the time it took my nonstick skillet the last time I made it. I spent MSRP on it (I think), but this piece is so beautiful and functional, I willingly paid for it because I got to leave with it the same day. I told Sherry the pan is so lovely I am going to name her! Thank you, Sherry! I love it!!

If I can give 0 stars I would- let purchasing nothing…read more I called this morning- to see if they had the color I wanted and drove almost an hour to San clemente I was so excited to finally purchase my first Dutch oven in a color I've been waiting for , along with matching accessories, from the Le Creuset Outlet in San Clemente. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. There were three sales associates working while we were there, and not one acknowledged us or even greeted us. We had questions and were clearly interested in making a purchase, yet no one offered assistance or even basic customer service. It was surprising, especially seeing that they're hiring, because customer acknowledgment should be the bare minimum. What made it even more upsetting was that we felt completely ignored as customers of Asian descent while others seemed to receive attention. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling unwelcome. I had been really looking forward to purchasing my first Le Creuset piece and making it a special experience, but instead I left feeling disappointed and overlooked.

Not so great: refill product quality, choices, community spirit…read moreGreat: it is still offering eco-friendly alternative I loved this place when I lived in North County and first realized that a less wasteful option was available for everyday products. I started to visit all the refill businesses in San Diego to support them. I realized that this refillery is lacking when it comes to actual refill products. It's more focused on selling high end reusable or single packed products. Other refilleries will have all of their products out on display. This place does not; there's no room, especially with all the other products they are choosing to showcase. I have gotten a foaming hand soap and lotion at this refillery which has a waxy smell and residue that I have not encountered elsewhere. It's not hugely unpleasant, just a little strange. I have also preferred the scents that I have encountered at other places. Refilleries tend to carry some of the same brands, but I have gotten foaming hand soap and lotion at other places that were different. As for community spirit, I know other locations where customers can donate clean empty containers for others to use if they forgot to bring something. This has helped me on numerous occasions when I didn't have the best container for what I wanted. I have donated new containers to other refilleries that my work was going to toss out which are ideal for refill purposes. This refillery does not offer that option, presumably because they have containers for sale. So to sum up my review, not ideal as a refillery, better options out there if you are willing to seek them. This place still offers an alternative if you are trying to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle. Not the best location for fitting the spirit of the eco-friendly community.

This is my 2nd review for Kitchen and Bath Beyond. We had a…read moreflood in 2025 and needed new flooring, dry wall repaired, and cabinets fixed/rebuilt. We used KBB in 2018 to remodel our Master bathroom and decided to use them again. Just like in 2018, they showed up to work every day (including Saturdays) and worked late into the evening (one time staying till 9:00 pm to complete a portion of the project). David was our project Manager, he kept us informed daily on how the work was progressing and always listened to our desires and ideas. Efay (sic) did the tile work and was able to lay 4 ft X 4 ft Italian porcelain tiles with amazing precision. You can see how perfect each huge tile was laid. Miguel did the cabinet and dry wall work - excellent work! The entire team was easy to work with. The tile and cabinets look fantastic. All I can say is there is no one else I would take a chance with for model upgrades or repairs. This is my 2nd 5-star rating for them.
