Started bringing my kids to the monthly Lego builds again! They're pretty quick, I got here at 11:55am& my kiddos are building as I type, now at 12:10ish pm. They're organized& interactive, to keep the kids occupied as they wait, which I appreciate! The builds are held outside too though, so double check weather conditions! The store is always as organized as it can be with many little fingers grabbing everything at once. Lol. They have staff that walk around with a handheld POS machine so the cashier in the back isn't always the only option to get you in&out. read more

Wow what a shame that Lego doesn't respect kids with disability! My son is autistic but a huge Star Wars fan, we came on the Sunday, to build his promotion Star Wars for May 4th, and the associate named James said I'll help you whatever you need, I said I'm visually disabled can you help my son, he said I can't help you build it! My son was having a hard time so I said your dad can help you build it at home, and the other associate dressed like Leah said you can't take it home unless you build it! My son was in tears then, I grabbed the toy and put it in my bag. James said you can't do that, I told them look you won't help me and my kid wants to build this so I'm taking it home! We patiently stood in line like everyone else, maybe if kids with disabilities aren't allowed to build please let us know before hand. read more

I popped in again today to pick up something I didn't get the other day. I got to meet the manager Jesus. He was super knowledgeable and helpful. As a person with a brain injury sometimes I need things explained to me in a way that I can understand. Jesus is patient and kind!! I imagine with a manager like that, the employees enjoy working for him. The store was clean, as alwys. Well stocked and the other employees were super nice. Parking at the mall was busy, as expected for this time of year. So pack your patience for that. But, overall this is a fun shopping experience! read more

Customer service was absolutely horrible. Two different employees were rude. Had one employee come from clear across the store and tell me that the item I was purchasing was one per customer...I was holding one for a friend who was looking at another item. A Lego Store is almost always a must stop when you see one. So why would it be any different when coming here. I didn't really want to shop for anything, I just wanted to browse and see the displays. However, my friend always ends up seeing/wanting something when in one of these places. I had no idea that they had keychains that had kind of a following where people attempt to get a complete set. My friend was over the moon when she saw they had a ton of the Star Wars collection and she ended up getting the Baby Yoda one. If I hadn't been on travel I probably would have gotten a set or two as gifts for my nephew, but I had no room to spare in the luggage to go back on. It was my adventure time at Lego store. Lego store gives VIP card for regular customers to earn reward points. The store keeps limited number of customers inside to guarantee you have a nice experience while you shop. That is the reason behind the long line outside the store. They have many marvelous set of lego; for example there is a new collection of flowers, cars, Titanic, Eiffel Tower, and the one I really loved was the Grand Piano, in addition to Disney's collection, Harry Potter's and more. Dreamy for kids and apparently adults too (not me). You can find pretty much every type of superhero and big time action movie, including Harry Potter. That's a win for me! The price point is on the higher end for most sets. This is more of a splurge or a gift. Not your average Target lego sets. Everyone working here is super busy. As soon as I came inside, two women greeted me with a smile! This store has the most awesome Lego sets you can build...of all different themes. Star Wars, owls, dinosaurs, Mario, cars, girly sets, everything! The store is wheelchair accessible, however, it is on the second level of the mall, which is under construction. Not all the elevators and escalators work, so that's unreliable. The store is directly next to the food court, and the restrooms are on the other side of the food court (between the restaurants Sbarro and Blanco). read more

This was the first store that our Wish Kid got to visit and this store brought the spirit!! They welcomed our kid with smiling faces and lots of bonus items. Declan helped our kid out with lots of Lego possibilities and Jesus really stood out as one of the most awesome people. He went above and beyond and got balloons as well as other enhancements for our wish kid. The entire staff was attentive and fantastic. The store of course is well stocked with favorite Lego sets as well as other, harder to find sets. The store is clean and nice to spend time in. This Lego store is very clean and organized. However, if you need to sit while your kids browse, this store doesn't have any seating. For ADA, it's not supportive. I allowed my 10 year old daughter to select parts & assemble the 5 little Lego people for $9.99. It takes a little while. So I sat and waited right outside the front of the store in the seating available. As I returned to the store to get my daughter and pay for her items, one of the employees told me that I needed to stay with her while she's in the store. I really don't understand. She's not a toddler and I'm sitting right outside the door because I couldn't stand the entire time due to my disability and the lack of seating. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon with the husband and kidlet. There was a short line to get in as they are limiting store capacity due to COVID. Went inside and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Kidlet picked out the creator aquarium. Husband was eyeing the Everyone is Awesome set but did not pull the trigger. My husband wanted to buy the motorcycle set for his dad and mail it to him. The set is $12 and it would cost alsmot that to mail it so I looked at it on lego's site and shipping is only $4.95 so I said "Let's just order it from lego." One of the staff overheard us and offered a free shipping coupon! It was so nice and unexpected. After a trip to a few more stores my husband went back for his Everyone is awesome set. Overall a great experience, will stop in here next time at the mall. read more

As an adult but a kid in spirit the Lego Store is always a fun time. Arrived on a Sunday for an unplanned visit and there was a line to keep the store customer density under control. COVID aside and social distancing aside, I actually appreciate this as an adult in the Lego store since with a set amount of customers it is often less hectic and it makes the experience more enjoyable. Also the customer service was top notch. The employee who helped me was energetic, informative and it obviously did their job wonderfully since before I realized it I had walked out with three sets, and a newly minted member of the VIP club. I was excited to go to the Lego Store with my nephew. I thought it would be a big fantastic store with lots of Legos put together, places for kids to play with Legos and massive amounts of sets to put together. However, when we got there, I was a little disappointed to see it was a fairly small store. It was sparsely decorated and while they had a good selection of Lego sets, it somehow seemed underwhelming. There was a neat wall of Lego blocks so you can choose the colors you want but they are overpriced and you really have to know what you are doing to build anything. The customer service was fantastic in the store. The employees were knowledgeable and polite. I just wish it has been more creative inside. There was a small little area for kids to play with some Lego Juniors which is an appropriate size to have out, however there weren't a lot and only room for 2-3 kids. The store seemed a little boring inside. I guess I just expected a lot of such an iconic brand. read more

I love the Lego Store. Each time I come to get my son something I want something for myself. The store is very clean and the staff are very nice and welcoming. I actually think the prices are too bad either. I love that you can take a cup and make your own pieces of Legos and this was a great way to refill some missing pieces from my son's sets. My son especially loves the Legos in the center of the store he can play with and the staff have no problems with the kids playing. The only issue is when you are ready to leave and your kid wants to continue playing. read more

There's no greater indicator of the quality of a mall than the presence of a LEGO Store! The Fashion Valley Mall store is at a great location, right near the food court and AMC Theatres. Their facade is festive; due to being on a corner, they have wall space to fill and did so with LEGO minifigure stylized designs. A red LEGO logo sign is hard to miss. Like all LEGO Stores, this one is clean white and yellows. On going inside, the store is filled with colorful sets; all organized and well stocked. Play opportunities abound and rotate. Be sure to check out the build-a-minifigure stand. The only negative to the design of the store is the big pole right in the center near the entrance; it detracts from seeing everything open. The staff here was friendly and welcoming. Overall, it's a smaller store. It has a pick-a-brick section, all the currently available sets around the perimeter. The cashier is at the back wall, set out a bit. Prices here are typical for a LEGO Store; you may find products elsewhere cheaper. The benefits of shopping here are the VIP Program, which is a $5 coupon for every $100 spent. They also have changing promotional sets and minifigures with minimum purchase; be sure to look for the display on the keychain rack and generally a sign or display in the windows. Our children have become expert extortionists. I had set up a playdate for the kids with a neighbor. Unfortunately, the neighbor kid couldn't come over at the last minute, and my children were so disappointed - nearly on the verge of tears - that I resorted to: "Hey, guys! No problem! I've got a surprise for you. We're gonna go to the Lego Store! Tilly, Harry Potter for you, and Elise, we'll get you a Spider-Man set." Of course, they each chose the very largest sets available, with, you know, 8,439 pieces each. Now, every time either of them experiences the barest of disappointments (e.g., the filet mignon wasn't grilled to perfection, the unicorn stuffed animal doesn't actually come alive and spirit them to fairyland, they're not allowed at ages 5 and 8 to drive the Porsche, etc., etc.) they immediately say, "Well, can we go to the Lego Store now?" The good news is that every time we head over there, the associates at the store make the outing into an absolute pleasure. They're as excited and enthusiastic about legos as the kids. I can't imagine how they are willing to patiently sit and listen to my children's tortuous explanations of Hermione's spell casting abilities and the dastardliness of Spider-Man's nemesis, Mysterio. Went in early to let my daughter spend her hard earned allowance $. While we waited in a short line to get in , due to covid restrictions . A plastic bag blew by us and my daughter grabbed it and threw the bag in the closest trash can. A Lego employee noticed her doing that & gave her a complimentary heart shaped Lego piece as a thank you. Says a lot about the staff and the company itself . read more

This store delivers what one would expect from a Lego Store. It is spacious and filled with a good variety of options for all ages of LEGO lovers. On our most recent visit we weren't greeted with the friendly smile that we have become accustomed to, but we were allowed to peruse the store and consider our options without worry of a pestering salesperson. The store was clean and even felt a bit sparse in areas. That's not a complaint. It's nice to have a little elbow room and I imagine in their busiest times the store fills quickly. read more

I try to blame all my trips to various Lego stores around the country and Canada on my son, but let's face it, I love those little bricks too. Admittedly they cause a ton of pain when left on the floor, but they're also cool as heck. Where as else can you go to fully geek out on DC and Marvel characters disguised as children's toys? Today they had a big Wonder Woman and The Flash cut out display. I debated trying to sneak out of the store with it, but my kid's laughter probably would've slowed us down. We spent a good amount of time in here, as usual. There's a lot to do. Today they had the Lego mini fig super jumpers on display, so naturally we had to play with those and test our skills. I was pretty lousy, but the kid was good. The series five mixels were in too. We initially said we were coming in to look for those, but of course we got sidetracked by the sign on the door for an exclusive Marvel mini fig offer with a $75 purchase. Thanks a lot Lego. My kid gave me the puppy dog eyes and promised me I could play with it too if I helped him buy it. There are some fun times to be had in here for free though. You can build little creations at the stations to your hearts content. Today little dude made a crazy looking mini fig that I can only describe as a gender confused ninja soldier, and it was pretty awesome. Service here is always good, as it usually is at Lego stores. They always greet you and ask if you need help. If you're not already a VIP member, sign up. It's worth it for the free toys, and it's free to join. Today the guy told me I had expired points that I could capture if I register my card online and email the store. I've apparently never done it. I always redeem points in Canada so it's never been an issue before, but it's pretty cool that he offered to get me back my expired points. I remember one year my son was having a Lego birthday party and I came in to buy mini figs for the party bags and they gave me a bunch of Lego magazines to give to the kids, they're always nice here. Unfortunately, while there were no Lego Movie minifigures available - the current promotion is for The Simpsons line - there's lots to see and do at this Lego Store location. The build your own minifigure stand is addicting; I spent about 15-20 minutes trying to build the perfect mini-me (and mini-Kathy). The window displays are also very beautiful and detailed... I so want that Simpsons house kit (but at almost $200, it's a bit out of my price range). If you're looking for gifts for young kids and/or your inner child, the Lego Store is the place to be. I probably should be embarrassed to admit this but I'm really new to this whole Lego scene. Even though I live a stone throw away from Legoland, I just never grew up playing with them. In fact, I was so clueless that I was recently schooled about using Lego as an adjective and not a noun. WTH!?! Lego loyalists are very protective of their beloved brand...but being a marketing professional, I get it. So, FYI, don't say LEGOS. You might get blacklisted. ; ) The only reason for my sudden interest is because my 2-year-old is a huge fan of the Lego Duplo sets and recently graduated to the smaller lego bricks after seeing some of her older friends playing with them. It's a welcomed interest because she is naturally creative and has built some pretty impressive structures and sets for her age. She doesn't follow instructions yet, just free flows but in my opinion, it's great. During our visit to Fashion Family, my little one saw the lego logo a mile away and ran full speed to check it out. At the front of the store, they had a table so the littles can play freely. She gravitated to that immediately and played for 10-15 minutes while I looked around. The only way we were able to pull her away was the wall of loose lego bricks you can purchase by filling one of two different sized containers at $8.99 and $14.99 respectively. She had so much fun going from bin to bin collecting the colors that she wanted. She couldn't pick a brick unless she knew the color so we used it as a learning opportunity too. We let her fill two small containers to make it fun but then transferred to a large one when we were ready to purchase. It was a great and fun activity for her and worth the $. She's been asking to go back every day since we were here so we will definitely be using this store as leverage. It also made us realize it's time for us to purchase that family annual pass to Legoland so guess what we have planned this week? ; ) We also signed up as a Lego VIP member which gives you early access to exclusive lego sets, award points, members-only gifts and monthly promotions. I have a feeling this is going to be an expensive hobby for us. As a family, we are now ALL Lego fans and we couldn't be happier. read more

I had no idea that there was a Lego store in San Diego other than at legoland. The store had exclusive things I cannot even be found at Legoland. Apparently Legoland is not actually owned by Lego. (according to a sales person) After dragging my boy around fashion valley all day I brought into the Lego store as a reward for being so good. No I was not kind enough to buy him anything because we are swimming and Legos as it is but he enjoyed playing there for good half hour ... Then I was done. The salesman said that I can get a discount here with my legoland pass I didn't ask how much but that's really cool. I have a date with my boy to come back right before his birthday. If you like new, shiny and plastic you will love the Lego store. If you also love creativity, modern themes and contruction you will never leave. I find the Lego products to be very expensive $30-70+ for indiviual toys that are small for the price. The kits do sometimes go up in value however so might be worth it. Plus they are fun and amazing. read more
