    How cool is this???

I happened upon this store when I was doing my Christmas shopping. They have amazing kites!! I was racking my brain to see who I could get one of these cool kites for. Cuz I was "Christmas Shopping" and therefore couldn't get one for me. I love how creative they are. The man at the counter was super helpful. And one thing I loved, he played with the toys when kids came in. He showed the kids, and explained to them, how they work and how to beat use them. That's small business at its best!! You don't get that service in the big box stores. You get that kinda great customer service at smaller businesses, like Kite Flite, that take the time to know you and what you're looking for. Go fly a kite!! But first, stop here :)

I have to say, I felt the peppy and positive energy the minute I walked through the door! The salesperson was enthusiastic and energetic and spoke about his products with so much passion. I really loved the bright colors everywhere - you get that vibe before even entering the store! The salesperson took personal time to show me how some of the kites, etc. worked, which I appreciated! The customer service is really above and beyond at this place :) Would highly recommend it for any kite enthusiasts out there! :)

Kite Flite is a whimsical colorful shop tucked away in Seaport Village. The varied collection of flying objects is enough to match any of your kite or flying toy needs. I got a DIY assembly two-part helicopter top, both pieces in pink. The owner, Kevin, took our group outside to the front of the shop and showed us how to fly our toys. With a flick of the wrist, we sent the heli-tops shooting up skyward, against the backdrop of the still bay waters, dusk's faint light twinkling off of the water. Kevin told us his story, how he had come to own the shop, following the advice of his grandpa who told him to do what he loves. The very toy he was showcasing was what piqued his interest in things that fly, and after getting a degree in business, he followed his passion and made the shop his own. Kite Flite is a really cute place in such a scenic location.

I have a blast walking into this cute kite shop in San Diego Seaport Village. I never ever knew they existed till today. Came here for an event that I was attending and I have learned that there is a Kite club in San Diego~?!!! Such a mind blowing wonder. I was loving it! I chatted with the shop clerk (Dave) about the culture that I came from. In Taiwan, its a favorite pastime that I have a very fond memory of it. By coming to US and find no one fly kites anymore. I was bummed out by it. Until today, finding it still in existences in San Diego! My goodness. I can only said I somehow missed out, but thanks to the shop clerk, he directed me to their club's website: Www.sandiegokiteclub.org And they are usually meet at Tecolate Shore in Mission Bay. Go checked it out. Cuz I will for real~~~!!!!

Last week to the date, I went back in time 24 years and was 8 years old again! Here's the scoop as to how I traveled back in time. I've been meaning to go in this store for 7.5 years since I moved to San Diego to randomly purchase a kite to fly, but for some reason, just never managed to do it. Well, lo and behold, as fate (or sheer randomness) would have it, the sun was shining bright, the wind was right, and it stepped inside in search for a kite! The sweetest man ever --DAVE-- let me borrow a kite for a test ride, and I instantly went back in time! I could not stop smiling from ear to ear and completely immersed myself in the moment, as if I was in my own "8-years-old" world. I definitely knew I had to purchase a kite for my own within the first couple minutes. And did I purchase a kite? YOU BET I DID! I returned the beautiful, colorful, butterfly kite that Dave let me borrow and purchased the same exact one because it gave me so much joy. I even named it Aerial because of the flight my butterfly kite takes in the sky. Not only do I love and appreciate my new toy, I truly appreciate the man who was sooo kind to me that day. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KINDNESS DAVE! You really made my day!! :D

This shop has a huge selection of kites. There are so many fun and colorful designs of kites as well as various toys and accessories that are great for a family day at Seaport Village.

The delight and wonder in my children's eyes bring back the magic from earlier years and let me relive it all again through them. Geppetto's has toys everywhere you look; cars, dolls, books, bears, crafts, quirky knickknacks, blocks, balls, trucks, puppets, and everything in between. The store is packed with products yet maintains a classy and organized feel (unlike other giant toy stores). They let kids play with toys around the shop and the atmosphere is energetic and fun. Prices are steep; very steep...however the toys are top notch quality and you are in a tourist spot, so everything is pricey. Geppetto's is a must visit for anyone who has ever loved or currently loves to play.

My kids love ending our little outings here and picking up a toy. Price wise you are paying for boutique/experience but it's really not that much compared to buying it at major department stores. They also carry toys that are not sold online/elsewhere. Soif you are looking for Legos or calico critters that are hard to find stop at a gepettos if you see one. I have found some Polly pocket sets that are sold out or in limited supply.

This seems like such a fun (and appropriate) store for a shopping center like Seaport Village! My son thought the pirate themed items were great! There were clothes for adults and children alike. I thought the onesie that said "I smell trouble" was just too cute. They have pirate shirts and hats. The huge selection of guns was truly unique. There were lots of signs, plaques, and even wall art. There are items even hanging from the ceiling here. The nautical items are my favorite things to explore here. Brass bells, signs, and clocks are throughout the store. I really like lighthouses, and we found the cutest jewelry box and snow globe. We liked them so much that we ended up buying both. They had some nice compasses and clocks that would make nice gifts for anyone who likes nautical stuff. The service was good here too. The salesperson who rang up our items was both thoughtful and sweet. She made sure to ask if we found everything we were looking for and wrapped our items with such care.
