Beets with walnut, beans with walnuts and cheese with pasta
Shirley H.

This is a small shop with tons of goodies. Items in the front counter fridge is sold by pound. So it's nice to give everything a try. My items are the beets with walnuts and beans with walnuts which are $9.99 a pound. They were both good and I spread it on toasted baguette. I do enjoy the beans with walnuts more; love the cilantro with it. I forgot the name on the other item, but it is similar to lasagna with pasta sheets in between with cheese. I heat mines up and it became soft. It was also a bit salty from the cheese. The service is really friendly from the ladies at the counter. They also make their cheese pie in the back.

Meat pie, mushroom pie, eggplant stew

First time trying Georgian food and this place is already setting a high standard! I live in the neighborhood and have always walked around this area (even before this was a Georgian Deli and Bakery) but never tried it because I honestly had no idea what to order. Luckily, they have their whole menu online so I was able to decide on what I wanted to try beforehand. I got the meat pie and mushroom pie - both of which were sooo soft and warm when I got them and although a bit on the blander side, was perfect for my tastes. Highly recommend this and would love to try their other baked goods! I also ordered the Eggplant Stew because I love eggplants. No regrets! It was really good with other veggies like tomato and bell peppers as well. If you're not a fan of cilantro, like me, you can taste it for sure but it didn't bother me too much. One thing though, I did feel like this stew is quite oily, especially when I got to the bottom of my batch. I ended up pouring out some of the oil and finishing as much as I could without consuming too much oil. Overall, it was a solid experience for my first time having Georgian food. Would love to try out their other goodies (eyeing the Napolean cake) next time!

Super scrumptious food and desserts as always! Their eclairs and napoleon cake are really delicious- dont skip out on them!

Now, I can cross trying Georgian cuisine off my bucket list. This bakery is very close to my house. The cheese pie was extremely salty; I recommend having a tall glass of water close by. My favorite is the Napoleon. It was creamy and sweet but not sickly sweet. The cashier was very nice. She made some recommendations since it was my first time there. I will definitely stop by here again.

So delicious!!

I love the food here! I have tried georgian food at other areas but I always come back here. The food here is consistently delicious, fresh and amazing! I always get their borscht soup & cheese pie. Today, I tried their eggplant stew, chicken cutlet and pork beef patty today and they were all ssoooo damn delicious!! Super nice and friendly staff! Thanks for making us delicious foods!

Was always intrigued by this place because the desserts looked great so I finally gave it a try a while ago. Also picked up a few things that sounded interesting and props to the Eggplant Stew and Honey Cake in particular(forgot to snap a pic of this one). The Eggplant Stew is spicy, earthy, a little bitter, and somehow it kind of tastes like how an authentic Chinese restaurant smells, maybe it's because of all-spice or something lol. The Honey cake is also very tasty, a lot of layers to it and has a nutty, sweet, burnt caramel flavor that works well. The other stuff is also pretty good but not as great as the former two I would say. I'm interested to see how their other dishes/sides taste going forward.

The staff was super nice and friendly! There are sticker spots on the floor to implement social distancing. There is also a sign on the door telling people to wear a mask in order to come in. For $11 I ordered the cheese boat and had to wait 20 minutes for this, but that just means it's fresh!! Eastern European food is typically dense because it's made for staying warm in the winter. It was something my palette wasn't ready for. It just felt very heavy because it was very cheesy so I couldn't really finish the whole thing. Even the outer sides have cheese inside. I would've assumed that there was no cheese there, based on the anatomy of pizza, because it looks like crust. But I was wrong. The texture was great. Definitely do try it especially if you're craving something cheesy and something warm but personally I wouldn't unless I know i'm going to share it with someone because it was heavy.

Loving this little Georgian bakery since it opened in like 2015? 2016? Their baked goods have been so good. Their cheese pies are a must try...thick, cheesy, hot (temperature). Staff has always been friendly. Tip: If you just want the cheese pie, just go and its ready in the oven. Only the special egg baked pie needs some time for pick up. Im so glad this little place is here, too many Chinese bakeries in the hood :P

I love ordering from this gem . Today I went to Georgian Deli and Bakery when they opened at 10AM. Their Fresh shoti bread just came out of oven so I had to order one . The Khadebi (sweet pastry big enough to share for breakfast/dessert ) was warm and fresh as well. And no order is complete without Khachapuri (cheese pie) and the Megruli Khachapuri. (Meat pie) The friendly girl at the cash register is always a delight and smiling . Gave me a sample of dessert to try which I will order when I visit again soon. Their Napoleon cake, honey cake , and horn Deseret are great options as well if your craving something sweet ! The store is welcoming and friendly . Will take more photos of the delicious food next time .

Been ordering delivery from this amazing place often in the last few years and yet to be disappointed. Every time food arrives piping hot, freshly made, very accurately packed and consistently delicious. Georgian cuisine is undoubtedly 1 of the Best Tasting in the world with it's unique flavors & style and this place has a vast menu that showcases many famous Georgian dishes like khachapuri-soft cheese filled bread which is so delicious that many prefer it to pizza, khinkali-Georgian soup dumplings, pkhali-traditional dish made of minced vegetables (eggplants, beets, spinach) combined with aromatic herbs, spices & chopped walnuts, kebabs, soups and salads. I'm not a big fan of salads but really enjoyed their "Fresh Veggies Salad with Feta Cheese", it was truly delicious with lots of savory feta, same as traditional Georgian soup "Chikhirtma"-variant of a chicken soup where broth contains egg yolks, a bit of vinegar & cilantro which gives it a unique flavor and aroma. Perfect choice for a chilly winter day or night. Special mention goes to their dessert section-Eclair covered in chocolate ganache & stuffed with Bavarian cream custard, Honey cake &Snickers cakes drenched in incredibly delicious dulce de leche, definitely a MUST GET! Prices are fair and everything sized very generously, so would definitely recommend everyone to check out this awesome Deli/Bakery.

Large dough filled with cheese! I'm so into this place! My boyfriend jaws dropped when he saw how big the bread was. Then he and I took our first bite and was surprised at how cheesy it was. He was so happy that it was totally worth the 7 bucks. The meat pie was delicious for 3 bucks. Filled with meat in every bite, it's a little oily but it's sooooooo flavorful. We both agreed that we need to come back to try the rest of the menu!

The pkhalis here are wonderful! What are pkhalis? They are chopped salads with vegetables, ground walnuts, vinegar, garlic, and herbs, with a pate-like texture. Spinach, beets, and green beans are the most common vegetable versions. Somehow I missed this important part of Georgian cuisine when I was in Tbilisi two years ago, but I'm glad to have finally discovered them! This deli offers delectable authentic Georgian baked goods, soups, salads, appetizers, and other prepared dishes. The woman at the register was so friendly and spoke good English. She generously allowed me to try a number of the pkhalis, including the beet pkhali, eggplant pkhali, and the spinach pkhali (all A$7.99/lb). The last one stood out--the texture and flavor were perfect. In fact, the Eastern European-looking female customer behind me told me that she actually came to the deli specifically for the spinach pkhali. Most of the prepared deli foods are charged by weight from around $5.99 to $8.99 per pound, but are quite reasonably priced from what I can tell. Some of the other offerings included ajapsandali (eggplant stew), lobio (beans) with walnuts, kuchmachi (chicken liver, gizzards, and heart dish), mushroom soup, chakhokhbili (chicken and tomato stew), bazhe sauce (with walnuts, garlic, and herbs), bazhe chicken, and holodets (jellied meat dish). Breads are made fresh throughout the day. I will definitely return!

Khacapuri (cheese bread) $3 a slice

A great addition to the neighborhood. I've never had Georgian anything before and was excited to check out what this place had to offer. Although I haven't had a chance to explore the entire menu yet, there are tons of options for meat and veggie lovers so you're sure to find something that suits your palate. I've been here several times so far and had mostly pleasant experiences. On most visits, I come for the Khacapuri (cheese bread) it does not disappoint. I always seem to get lucky and buy the batch that's fresh out of the oven. Their khacapuri is warm, fluffy, and cheesy goodness. You can buy the bread by the slice or a whole pie which they can slice it into as many pieces you want. I believe it's around $3 for a slice and $8 for the pie, but check the menu. On my first visit, the staff was welcoming and offered suggestions, even showed me what each item looked like since I didn't know where to start. The second tiem around, I came for more Khacapuri and also left with beef and potato kubdari (flatbread pie). The kubdari was about the length of half of a hero bread and were savory. Total was about $28 for a cheese bread pie and four kubdari breads. I left without purchasing anything on my third visit because of poor service. I waited for more than 10 minutes, was visibly the next person in line, but they let a couple who entered the store cut me. Lady at the register didn't say a word. Now, I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that they honestly didn't see me (being short, I do sometimes go easily unnoticed LOL) because it does happen, so not a deal breaker. I was lured back here by my cheese bread craving and on visit four bought two khacapuri's and beef kubdaris. Cheese bread was a little salty for my liking this time but the beef kubdaris were great as always. Slightly oil, yes but tasty. You'd think the meat and bread would be to filling, but it's not too heavy or overpowered with flavors.

Love is- to feed her with khachapuri

I waited for about 45 minutes, while waiting I picked up my chips and a white peach ginger ale. I also talked to the girl in front and she explained that you can get your sandwhich on a hero or roll. I ordered a chopped honey turkey with onions, pickles, lettuce and mayo. The guy who made my sandwich was soo friendly and patient. I just put my trust in him to hook it up lol. He also asked if I wanted to add the chips and I did. Overall my sandwhich was better the next day after it firmed up. The flavor was good but the texture was soft, mushy and just not what I want in a turkey sandwhich. It ran me about 12.00 and it was worth the experience.

Then came the beef brisket on rye with a cup of au jus for dipping... and brother, that dip should be studied by scientists. Pure perfection. Washed everything down with a Dr. Brown's root beer like it was 1957. No fake trendy nonsense. No deconstructed sandwiches. Just old-school deli greatness that punches you directly in the soul. One of the best parts is that the place is halal, which made it an easy stop for some classic New York deli-style sandwiches. The restaurant has that old-school neighborhood deli feel with a small cozy dining area, wood-paneled walls, and the smell of fresh smoked meat filling the entire place. I went with the combo pastrami and corned beef on rye, and it was absolutely loaded with meat. The pastrami was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, while the corned beef was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The rye bread held everything together really well and added that classic deli flavor that makes sandwiches like this so good. We also tried the Reuben-style sandwich with melted cheese and sauerkraut, which was equally delicious and perfectly balanced. The portions here are huge, the meat quality is excellent, and every bite tasted fresh and flavorful. Definitely a must-visit spot if you're in Brooklyn and craving authentic deli sandwiches with halal options.
