I should start off by saying that I am not vegan. But they came up as part of a cashback offer and they had a Reuben sandwich. Reuben's are probably my favorite hot sandwich. So I was really interested to try it. The setting is what I would consider kind of rock-'n'-roll dive bar, but nicer. They were playing what seemed like punk music on the sound system which was fun to hear. I placed my order and paid for it at the bar. I was surprised at how good the Reuben tasted. There was not a strong taste of pastrami, but the sauerkraut, dressing, and bread made up for it. I would not have guessed it was vegan. There was root beer on tap that was really good as well. I came for a weekday lunch with a vegan friend. She loves the punk vibe and food. I'm new to the whole vegan scene, but it seemed like a cool place. I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich with a side of potato salad, which my friend highly recommended. The sandwich had a smoky bacony flavor, which was not my favorite. Overall it tasted ok, but it was pretty obvious that this was not meat as the consistency was off, it was like eating cooked vegetables. The potato salad was a real winner and I'd definitely eat that again. I do agree with another reviewer that the sandwiches should come with a side, as they are pretty pricey. We split a lemon/lime cheesecake for dessert that was pretty tasty. The vibe was really cool and they offered alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Been meaning to come here for some time to try the vegan food and finally made it in a couple weeks back. Wow! Absolutely delicious. I tried the BLT and the house made Seiten bacon is sooo delicious! And they don't skimp. I also tried the potato salad which should not be missed. And because I always have to try vegan nachos when I see them on a menu, I ordered the mini nachos. Also super good although definitely on the spicy side. My non vegan husband said the French dip tasted just like the meat version. Fun punk atmosphere with lots to look at on the walls. Service was friendly although on the slow side as one person was both making drinks and taking orders though I didn't mind. Will be back to try more dishes! read more

Vegan grub it is! I ordered the BLT and buffalo cauliflower with ranch. I enjoined the sandwich it was packed full of "bacon" with so much flavor, the house made buffalo sauce had a spice I couldn't place that was very strong, it wasn't bad just strong so I didn't enjoy them as much but I look forward to trying this place again and leaving room for dessert next time! read more

The orange juice was out of a nozzle with no refills in a small glass. That being said others in my group ordered breakfast burritos and sandwiches that were good. This place is so cool! Punk rock all the way, including their rad vegan menu. I went to Happy Hour with a friend and very much enjoyed the vegan chicken street tacos and tried sparkling hop water for the first time. As a Sobriety Buddy (and the welfare of animals/ health/ our planet), I appreciated that much of the drink menu was non-alcoholic. The location of this bar couldn't be better, on the far end of Seattle's historic Georgetown, it's the perfect place to get in out of the rain and grab a bite to eat after enjoying the Art Walk experience. We came to Georgetown Liquor Company as a party of 2 on Sunday at 3:00 PM. We were able to order and seat ourselves right away. I loved their design. We ordered at the bar and then chose our seats. I ordered their Buffalo Chicken sandwich, with a side of their homemade chips and salsa. I really loved their Buffalo Chicken-the texture and the flavor was great-not spicy, but the flavorful. Their chips and salsa were great too, although I would have wanted the salsa to be spicier. Whatever seasoning/salt they put on the chips is fantastic! After we finished our meal, we bussed our table. One thing I would change: I wish they had offered fries on their menu to go with the sandwich. This is a really cool bar! GLC is back!! I was bummed to hear that they had gone out of business, but they were quickly swept up by an experienced vegan bar owner who was able to bring the business back. They've held off on dine-in until recently, but now that they're allowing indoor dinning I happily made my way down with a French Dip on my mind. Veggie French dips can be hard to find and a pain to make, so I'm always all over that when a restaurant has them! The menu is way, way smaller than it was. I'm not sure if that's due to C19 or if they're just trying to keep things simple in general. Either way, I happily got my French dip and saw several other items on the menu I'd be more than happy to eat. I really enjoyed my sandwich, definitely a bit different than what I remember of GLC, but no complaints there. I also got a side of potato salad. Best I'd ever had? No. BUT it was definitely really good and I'd eat it again. Plenty of beer and cider on tap as well as cans/bottles. The interior looks basically the same, but you can tell there's been a fresh coat of paint. I definitely got "lost" in the bathroom to go down nostalgia lane of all the local bands that I wish I could see again! GLC was a great punk bar at the time, and it's still a great punk bar. There's definitely some items on the old menu that I really miss, but I'm excited to see what the future holds! read more

Ok, the food: we had the bbq pork sandwich with a side of potato salad. Delicious. Also had the Reuben with side salad. So full of meat and sourkraut. I ordered pepperoncini for an extra $.75. Not much on the sandwhich. Had to search for it. The flavor and liveliness of the pepperoncini was lost in the sauerkraut. Sides: all are $4.50. Seemed reasonable for the fresh and delicious potato salad. Not-so-reasonable for the side salad, which was very small and consisted of spinach and maybe three thinly sliced tomato rings. Some disparity between it and the potato salad price-wise. It's a punk bar, so that's the music you will hear and the toe-tapping vibe is fun. Goes well with the fabu drinks. We had Kids on Coffee. I could drink a few of those, but the price was a tad high for the size, and being the driver....dang! My wife ordered a drink with some cucumber. Nasty. Tried to return it but they dont let you do that here. We shared it, along with sour faces, and followed with our coffee martini. Be careful what you order! Our tab was $93, including four drinks(cucumber drink included and not including a tip. We are not regular out-on-the-town folks, so I'm often a little shocked at how prices have gone up. I think it's reasonable for quality vegan food and booze. Would I come here again? Absolutely! I have other items to try and I must have another Kids on Coffee! Looks like it's probably a great hangout in the evening, but very quiet when I was there with fast and friendly service. The vegan Reuben sandwich was fantastic, maybe the best vegan sandwich I've ever had. The bar itself so cool aesthetically with lots of band posters and some killer political commentary. I would come back just to sit in there and feel cool. The former crew closed a great vegetarian funky chill & cool chapter in G-Town. The new owner(s) I believe from the former Cap Hill vegan dive/comfort bar favorite, Highline, moved in and life is anew for this historical punky funky G-Town corner space. Hopefully some more decor starts returning as business picks up again. The staff is fairly minimal kept mostly to the kitchen while the owner is mostly front of house. Just very chill & friendly dude and the kitchen crew bringing out my takeout orders are always nice if a bit soft-spoken sometimes. The food... yo, tell me another business (vegan or not) that makes _so_ much food from scratch. The cheeze, the faux meat, the sauces... oh man! Truly a labor of love & passion and I appreciate that effort so much. It's one of my main draws to being one of my fav places in Seattle these days. The menu is a nice comfortable selection of just enough stuff to get word out again. The pulled pork (soy curls or jackfruit, both are awesome personally), reuben, BLT, salad (of which soy curls chkn an option) and sides. I love most of it. If I had to pick, though, I would say the BLT, Blue Burger and Pulled Pork are my favorite for their succulent flavors. Location is super decent. North entry of Georgetown at the bottom of the railroad bridge and adjacent to the RR tracks. Some parking in back paved & gravel lots. Major N-S bus route 124 between downtown and Tukwila P&R LR Station. Feedback: I'm always split with these "reborn" storefront shells. When a new business moves in but keeps original name, it's still a new place; the old business should've been marked Closed and a new Page created for the new business. It's misleading because they weren't directly related to the previous place as it was different owners, staff and not even 100% vegan. The space is a smidgens more rough than its previous crew. I will miss the old school gaming table up front and more knick knack decor scattered about but that's part of the times for some places. Staff are cool as fuck, dealing with my complicated dietary needs without even up charging me. (I tipped extra because hospitality work is HARD.) We had nachos and cauliflower buffalo wings. They wings were great! The environment is loud. Not really my forte, but not unexpected in a bar. Can't go to a bar and complain about the noise.
