09/25/2021 Gas prices are over $4.00 here which is expected. I only want to use the windshield wipers because it started sprinkling while driving down Garvey Ave. it moved the dirt around on the windshield. My car wipers just made it worse. The wipers at this station are worn but don't let that worry you. That just means it's been worked in rather than the brand new ones that don't really work. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR to George's auto repair for services or repair if you are Asian. It's very fishy there. My car got a flat tire. The staff there told me the hole is on the side of the tire. They couldn't fix it, and the tire need to be replaced. At that point, I still trust the owner there. I spent $250 to replace that tire. After the tire was replaced, I thought the story ends there. But not yet, an obvious noise came out from the wheel of my car after the tired was replaced. There was no noise before I replaced the tire! I went back to the George's repair shop to question why there was noise coming out from the wheel. The owner told me the cylinder need to replace, which will cost me $500. At that point, I know the owner is very fishy. A sample $20 flat tire repair turned into a $1000 repair!?. (Later on, I learned it on TikTok, they could use a special glove to put a hole on the side of the tire, so I need to replace the tire.) I told the owner I will ask someone to inspect my car to see if he was lying, and then he immediately did a quick fix to the wheel of my car. After the quick fix, the noise was totally done. It's too obvious that this auto repair shop was very fishy. There was no way a $20 flat tire repair would turn into a $1000 repair. o5.29.14 Ok, it was 10:30pm and I really needed to get gas for my car. I usually go to Chevron but it's a bit farther. Since it was already late, so thought I'll stop by somewhere close by home. I can't really say about the service since you know, it's a gas station...you service yourself haha Just as I was waiting for the gas to be filled, I heard someone yelling from the across the street. Some Chinese guy was screaming at the other car and asking him to get out of the car (sadly, the light happened to be red). So the other car couldn't help but to get out of the car (esp when the light even turned green, that Chinese lady from the other car was standing in front of this car). I guess it was about car #2 scratched car #1. I don't think it was a big deal because they just left after a small chat..but gosh, was that Chinese rude and scary..it really scared me. Lesson learned: don't wait 'til the gas tank to be almost empty before heading to the gas station, esp late at night. read more

Although this gas station is always more expensive than others in the area, I come here because sometimes it is convenient for me. The older asian gentleman is always polite and courteous, and the repair section does very good mechanic work. The 5 stars is for the nice asian guy. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT S GAS STATION. Don't stop by here to get gas. It was night and I swiped my debit card twice at the machine outside. Both times the card was rejected. So I decided to pay in cash. Surprisingly a few days after i found out that my debit card was charged twice for $75 each time so in total $150. I called the gas station many times and the OWNER, who was very unfriendly, told me it was just a "hold" and that i would have gotten my money back in a few days. I NEVER GOT THAT MONEY BACK. I called him many times and his answer was: i have no control over the credit card transcations. My bank says that if Iswiped my credit card and the money was automatically transferred to the gas station's bank account it means that their pos system is broken or something. Dear owner.. since you kept saying "believe it or not i have no control over credit card transcations" (ARE YOU SERIOUS???????)..... BELIEVE IT OR NOT I HOPE NO CUSTOMER STOPS BY YOUR GAS STATION ANYMORE. AND LEARN HOW TO BE AN HONEST BUSINESSMAN. i MIGHT HAVE LOST MY MONEY BUT YOU HAVE LOST YOUR DIGNITY read more

Strictly for the gas station: just FYI each pump's cord is extremely short so you can't pull the cord to the opposite site which sucks, I had to adjust my car so that it could reach and also, my pump didn't have a full tank indicator, so I had to guesstimate when it was full. Also, not convenient cause there's only enough room for 8 cars and if ones going the opposite way it can be a headache..... Oye go to another station with more space and cords that stretch. read more

I don't yelp often so this is based on service from a year ago but I had a great experience with George's Shell. I live out of the area and my car broke down while passing through town. The engine was a goner and ultimately it was not realistic to repair but they were amazing every step of the way. read more

Horrible! Horrible Service! It's a gas station. I am minding my own business and pumping gas using my fuel rewards program. The attendant working came outside and yelled at me at the top of his lungs! Just because I wanted to use the pump #3. I didn't even bother him. No one deserves to be yelled at for no reason. Do NOT pump gas at this station. Especially the employee who works at the 8pm shift. He is rude and yells at people with no courtesy. He's a mean person with no customer courtesy. I am on the way driving home to Northern California. I have the same problem with the other person recently complaint charge twice. I should let people in this city aware this place's machine actually charge me twice too. I was stop by here at 10:40 PM July 6th 2015. There was an impolite Asian guy work there and blame me that it was my mistake. A minute later I saw two transaction notifications pop up on my phone. But I know I can dispute with my credit card company. Before I left I took a closer look at there machine which a sticker call "State Seal" there were inspection date by hand writing all gone. Can't read any inspection date at all. I wish I can leave zero star for them. read more

George is honest and he'll tell you as it is. I brought my subaru in to have the AC looked at, and i told him about my financial situation. he checked it out, wrote down my options, and told me to pick. which i thought it was awesome. the run down was (example prices) new (from dealer) = $800 new (aftermarket) = $600 refurbished = $400 another thing that i liked was that when he called his suppliers, they did not have the part, he then told me that he found another supplier, but he does not feel confident about it because he has never used them before, but if i chose to go that route, he'd do it. he told me how he felt which I think deserves some recognition. although i opted out to get my AC fixed at the dealership cause i'm moving to arkansas, so i needed a warranty across the country, please go get your car needs fixed here. half of the reviews here are about the gas station. yes. its small. but there's a gem here. 5/5 stars for sure. read more

I had to use my card at the machine (where the gas pump is), and the cashier ( at 11pm on Tuesday night) asked if I had ever used it before (in a rude tone), I said "no", so he took the gas pump and did it for me. I live 40 miles away but will make the trip since I trust no one else to work on our cars! Steve is honest, reliable, and professional, and his staff is just as awesome! I have to admit that I've tried finding places closer to me so I don't have to make the schlep every time one of our 4 cars need servicing, but for the past 25 years I've searched and tried various others but every time I did, it just made Steve and his staff shine even more! Prices are very reasonable and I can count on the work will get done right the first time. Great repair work and friendly customer service. I have an old Paseo and they fixed the Air Conditioning by replacing with compressor with a refurbished on instead of an expensive new one, which suits an older car like mine.
