Me and husband visited this gas station today and had a very disappointing experience. The employee refused to let my husband pay with cash and 12 pennies, even though they are legal U.S. currency. He came across as lazy and rude, acting like he didn't want to work or help customers. He even yelled that I couldn't buy anything from the station. It's sad to see a small business treat customers this way and refuse payment made with legal tender. I left feeling disrespected and very disappointed with the service. read more

Hello, time on Yelp says 24 hours, but they actually close at 11 PM, super inconvenient

Came by to get some petrol the other day and it was a lacklustre experience. As this petrol station is located on a busy street corner, there were plenty of cars attempting to go in and out. The station is pretty tight, making it hard to drive around cars. Cash price is lower than credit prices. The payment island is playing some type of advertising video making it rather abnoxious while pumping petrol. Unfortunately, there were no paper towels available, despite having squeegees and water available. My payment island was also out of receipt paper...bummer. The cashier was wearing a uniform and was able to get my receipt though. Arco is Top Tier petrol! read more

The other male staff is good, but the female staff who is more on the heavier size is always rude. She got my lottery ticket wrong today and I let her know it was the wrong game, and she was rude about it. She did replace it. But shes always rude and never says thank you. This gas station is not welcoming because of her. Theres been multiple instances - I would suggest this place let her go or retrain her properly. read more

Today, May 16, 2016, at approximately 5:45 p.m., I stopped by the ARCO gas station to fill up my fuel tank. I sometimes refuel here, on my way to work due to its convenience. Usually, all the cahiers provides standard service; however, I asked for his name, as well as the name of his supervisor, but he adamantly refused to provide any information; Accordingly, I felt compelled to take his photograph as evidence. His demeanor while serving me was extremely suspicious. Upon entering the station, I communicates in English; he accepted my 40 $ cash payment but failed to provide me with a receipt. I requested a receipt a few times, but he simply replied, "No," and told me that if I wanted one, I would have to go out to the pump area and print it myself. He wouldn't give a receipt for anyone. When paying in cash, customers have every right to receive a receipt; after all, if any issues arise in the future, who will be there to verify my transaction? I told him that I didn't know how to retrieve a receipt at the pump itself. He should have printed the receipt for me right there at the counter, since I had paid in cash... but instead, he handed my cash back to me and refused to serve me. I realized that at the moment I stepped up to the counter, it was just the two of us there--meaning he couldn't get away with cheating me this time. Due to my busy work schedule, I left the station and went elsewhere for service. This gas station is located on Valley Blvd., across from the Hawaii Supermarket. This kind of behavior needs to be stopped through customer vigilance. The owner of this gas station should not be hiring employees with such a poor work attitude. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS I have not been back to this Arco for years. I do not know why their reviews reset--under new management? The 4 star average on Yelp is wildly mistaken. The other positive reviewers are commenting on drink selection and other nonsense that is not the main issue for a gas station. It is true that the attendant here is usually nice--the pump maintenance and customers are the problems. I only returned to this station after intentionally avoiding it for years only to see if things had changed--they had not! 3-5 pumps were broken on this visit--a consistent problem at this location. However, the main consistent problem at this location are the rude, sketchy, belligerent customers. Multiple cars were parked illegally making it difficult to get to the working pumps. Some of the parked cars had people in them, but from past experience their is no point honking (just tapping your horn) at them or nicely asking them to move unless you want an altercation. While I was pumping my gas and legally parked at one of the only working pumps, another customer drove up and incessantly honked at me to move because the two other illegally parked cars were blocking them from going out the one driveway they wanted--there was another clear driveway behind me to the same street, but they had to go out the one they wanted. Fortunately, I was about done pumping my gas when this happened and was able to finish and get out of the way before they got out of their car to come over and yell at me in person. I will not come back to this Arco and recommend that you avoid them as well unless you want to risk lawsuits or prison time due to unprovoked altercations here! I recommend driving over to the Arco in Arcadia on Baldwin & Las Tunas for the best Arco experience in SGV, even if it is far out of your way like it is for me--the one on Foothill and Rosemead also consistently has problems. read more

When I came to this gas station paying using debit card, they claimed that they will only take the price of the gas. After I added gas, I noticed that the machine displays over 100 dollars. I went inside and asked why it is over charging 65 dollars for a 35 dollar gas. The person at the counter said it was only a procedure thing and the rest of the money will return to my account. This is not true. They really charged me 65 over as my bank confirmed because when you put in the debit card, it is considered a money withdraw. No balance will be reimbursed to your card. This place is fraud. I can't even find a phone number to inquire. I have to end up disputing the claim through my bank. read more
