You fuel up, get in & get out in a jiffy. Like most Costco gas stations, it's well maintained & clean. Great value compared to other gas stations, so membership has its privileges. Double tap your horn if you prefer to have an attendant pump the gas for you, it's a nice perk. read more

Costco stores are crazy busy on weekends. This Costco in Alhambra may be the craziest branch that I have visited. I hate their parking lot. They share their parking lot with other stores in the plaza, and it only makes the parking situation worse. I dropped off the family, and made my way to the gas station of this Costco. Navigating this Costco's parking lot tests one's patience on a busy Sunday afternoon. I did make my way to the line safe and sound so that was great! Surprisingly, I was in line for only about 15 minutes before I made it to one of the gas pumps. I like the fact that this Costco gas station has 3 pumps available for each line. Most Costco branches do not offer as many gas pumps as the Alhambra Costco does. Costco gasoline prices are always one of the cheapest in any city they are located. This Alhambra station's gas price was higher than my hometown Costco, but they were cheaper than other competing stations in Alhambra. Been happy with Costco gasoline for years now. My vehicle has over 358,000 miles so I'm thinking that Costco must have some good quality gasoline. Works for me! read more

Costco's gas station hours were advertised as open, but when I arrived at 6:19 a.m. this morning, all the pumps were turned off, and barriers had been set up. As a result, I wasted a lot of time driving to Costco as well as for many drivers leaving. read more

At first visit, this gas station is hard to find. They will sometimes close off the entrance on Commonwealth to avoid plugging up the street (across from Panera Bread). The gas station is at the corner next to Gold Hibachi and the hotel, but you cannot access the gas station from there. If you're at Joann's or Great Clips, you're on the opposite side. Of course, gas prices have been fluctuating, and we will probably never see it lower than $3-4/gallon in Los Angeles anymore. I know I can count on Costco to have a good deal. If you're a Costco member, you can expect to get a nice check back every 6 months (depending on how much you spend). Main complaint here: long lines read more

I've seen drivers yell, I've heard drivers honk, but prices must be a lot less than a typical gas station. Well, I use to say whatevers, I ain't gonna wait in that long line. But after gasoline hit $6+ per gallon, and filling up more than once a week, Costco Gas humbled me. Lol. Gas at Costco was up to .50 cents less per gallon during its peak. Now it's around .30 cents cheaper. Go figure, it adds up! Anyhow, if I'm willing to wait for cheaper gas, I'm sure many of you guys will be willing as well. There are always a lot of people in the parking plaza and on the way into the gas pump!! Filling gas here is like the hunger games because of the intersection going 4- ways!! People cut in front of you when you are trying to fill gas into your car!! It can take awhile to get into the gas line from the intersection! They need to have a button for customer service in case you forgot your Costco car because finding customer service is quite difficult! They need to remodel the intersection to make it easier for people to get into the gas line. read more

I had to check and make sure before I started buying Costco gas that it is a top-tier gas (high quality gas same at Chevron, ARCO, etc.). I have an older car and I've already had to replace the catalytic converter once so I'm just not trying to have those kinds of problems. Costco Gasoline is in fact a top-tier gas which makes me so happy because the prices are anywhere from less than regular retail gas stations to dramatically less than regular retail gas stations. I understand now why there is always a line for Costco gas at any location I've been to. The lines move relatively quickly given how busy they are. It is pretty nerve-racking the first time you go it's kind of like a race car pitstop you have to know what you're doing and be ready. But once you get the hang, the prices make it definitely worth it. read more

3 stars It's convenient and the prices are the lowest when compared to other gas stations. However, this is one of the busiest gas stations and weekends are nightmar-ish. The best time to come here is 6am...yes, 6 in the morning. When you need an attendant, they're nowhere to be found in the morning and hard to find the rest of the day. I think there's usually one attendant there, but I can't be sure because I rarely see them. But they are nice people when they're around. I think the best thing about this location are the nice people who help you when you forget your Costco card. Like the derp that I can sometimes be, I forget where I put it when I'm there for gas and I've always been helped by the kindness of others who don't mind swiping their membership cards. Very hectic to get in due to the clientele community here, people just driving all over the places in the parking lot, plus they kept crossing the street without stopping, so it was a bit crazy. Gas prices are about 15 cents more than some locations around, still below $4.50 mark compared to San Diego, just have to watch out as you make your turn around here if you don't want to get in any accidents. read more

Always expect a long line at this Costco Gas. The wait time is pretty quick, people come pump their gas and leave right away. I love that they blocked off some of the entrance to make traffic easier to manage. The gas station staff are very helpful and especially help getting in line for all the cars. Some people are very inconsiderate and block the entrance off tehir own convenieince instead getting in the shorter line at the far end. read more

My go-to Costco gasoline location due to the less than average wait compared to other Costco Gas. Lately they've blocked off the front entrance so you have to drive into the line from one of the side entrances. I especially like that this location has the station sensors, which turn green when one is available ahead of you. Lately, they've had an attendant directing traffic so the line is pretty orderly. I recommend going during a weekday afternoon for a less than five minute wait otherwise it would be around 10 minutes for a highly congested day. read more

This Costco Gasoline area is fairly difficult to access, and it is a mess to get in and out when I swung by around 11am. I enjoyed no lines, but I can't imagine how traffic works when this place is busy. What surprised me was how clean this gas station was... compared to other Costco Gas stations, this one in particular had a particular feeling that felt "cleaner" - though I'm not sure why. Ever since the gas price has been climbing, more people are lining up at Costco gas. That being said, they closed off commonwealth exit for several weeks. The staff has been doing their best to control car gas line on Bay Street. On a Thursday morning at 6:20am, the line to Costco gas was good. There was a car ahead of me and I got to the pump within 10min. Sorry no photos since the line went so fast. Also the gas price went down to $5.39 compared to last Thursday of same time at $5.55. Cheapest gas in town! According to GasBuddy, this Costco is the cheapest gas station in Alhambra. I've seen its price fluctuate to be marginally higher or lower than other Costco stations in LA, but basically at any Costco, you're getting a good deal. And on gas that meets Top Tier standards, at that. This station has 24 pumps (8 lanes with 3 pumps each), with a sign in front of each lane indicating whether each pump is currently occupied. A standard layout for a Costco station nowadays. The station is only accessible from the north side by driving through the large Costco parking lot. There's a lot of room for cars to queue up, though I imagine that things get hectic during peak times. We fueled up here at 9am on a Sunday, the day after Christmas, and the place wasn't too busy. But perhaps that was because the warehouse was still closed - the warehouse opens at 10am every day except Saturday. We're used to Bay Area Costco warehouses opening at 9am, but it looks like 10am is the norm for LA! read more

If you want a quick fill up, this ain't your gas station. The line is always long, ALL THE TIME, NO MATTER the time of the day. The wait time for getting in front of a pump can be up to 20 minutes. There IS NO shortcut to get in quicker and bypass the long line. You can only enter from Palm Ave, near Joann's in the south bound direction. All other entrances are physically blocked. read more

I've went to maaaaaany Costcos but this one is near and dear to my heart they have DEFINITELY upgraded this one. The most recent time I went here I barely stayed in the line to wait for a pump for 10 minutes. They have sensors above each row of pumps while you're waiting so it tells you if there's a pump available!! How cool is that?!?! The route TO the gas station from either Commonwealth or from the Costco parking lot is a bit windy and it can get really backed up (ESPECIALLY on Saturday and Sunday). I suggest going into Costco parking lot from the Main St direction / entrance and navigate towards gas station from there :) read more

11.o6.19 Costco is really on the move to make improvements. First, they made it to 3 stations instead of 2. Now they added the little light as signals to which station is available!! That's pretty neat honestly. I hope everyone saw the changes you made, Costco! So people can get moving! That little light really helped since I have a small car. So there was this one middle light showing green but no one was going to that station bc it was actually Out-of-Order. But what if it was the first spot that was out of order? So does that mean they'll need to circle back to the line and line up again? Bc I mean I guess they can backup when the back person is done but whoever was in the back of the line saw the light turned green, they will head to the spot without knowing the other car backing up to that station bc it is their turn. Does it sound confusing? My point is they need to figure out a way to show when three station is Out-of-Order. Like maybe turn off that light? If possible. read more

I love coming to Costco for gas. Its usually the cheapest in the neighborhood and its so close from home. The recent renovation is finally done since last year and I really dont see whats different, haha. Lines can be super long but I think its worth it. At least its not as bad as the one in City of Industry. That place has the most ridiculous line ever. If you come before 5 PM, theres hardly anyone here so thats probably the best time to come to put gas without having to wait in line. 3 cars per line and I think theres 8-10 lines you can go through. Need to check next time I am there. I know I have done this multiple times in the past where I got to the pump and realized I didnt bring my costco card. I change my bags a lot, thats why. Sigh. 3:20pm...no wait! I drove right up to a pump on a Monday afternoon... how wonderful! There are three pumps per line, so lines move more quickly anyway! And...$3.09 per gallon for unleaded! Yippee! Costco's gasoline is less expensive than other gasoline brands. At the moment, this Costco in Alhambra seems to have a lower gasoline price than other Costco gasoline stations in Los Angeles County such as Torrance! I only fill up at Costco Gas Stations because of the quality of the gas is Top Tier, the price is lower than other gas stations, and it's clean. This Costco gas station is poorly designed in terms of layout. The line for gas backs up pretty bad. I was here on September 4th and I came around 11:30 AM. It took me 45 minutes to get gas. Getting into the Costco was hard since it backed up to the street and the way it's designed, there is only one parking lane that leads you into the gas area. This one is a lot busier and slightly more expensive than other Costco gas stations. Fortunately or unfortunately this gas station is going through renovations so I hope after the revamp, they will also fix the wait times and pathing. read more

Ever since obtaining Costco membership for the last couple of years I've always gone to Costco to re-fuel as well. This review is for the Alhambra Costco location. I recently came here after work to fill up on gas for the week. Upon arriving to the driveway to Costco it was a long line to get in from all sides of the traffics light on Palm Ave. Cars were backed up from the gas line all the way to the street. Costco is currently undergoing construction so movement around the parking lot has reduced significantly. Hmm like it hasn't already? This is a pretty busy Costco. Gas prices are low, but getting into the vicinity is a long wait. FYI, Costco will also be doing construction on the gasoline area and are scheduled to close. Anticipation of re-opening is November 15th, 2018 as listed on the gas pump. read more
