I was almost on empty and luckily this station is located near the 710 Freeway which I was about to enter. My economy car doesn't have a large gas tank but I save a few dollars by filling up here. Some of the other stations nearby are considerably higher in price. read more

This is my go-to gas station when I'm in Alhambra, probably because it's on my way to the 710. The price is usually right compared to other gas stations that I pass by, and the pumps look fairly new. Like all the Arcos I've been to before, there's a fee to use your debit card. You could choose to pay the card fee or you can pay cash (and there's an ATM in the shop in case you need to make a withdrawal). I've only had brief interactions with the gas station employees (ex. handing over cash to pay for gas), and I've never had any problems with customer service. There have been times when this place gets a bit popular, but I've never had to wait to find an empty pump. Overall, this Arco is a winner. read more

Right by the 710 S freeway entrance, so wins for cheapest station near a freeway. Usually gas stations near freeways have their prices raised exorbitantly, because they can... it's a premium location. I know Arco is know for their cheap gas, because they use the cash preferred system cutting down on credit card fees. Only the basic pump set up and not a lot of lot space for maneuvering, since part of the lot is used for their service station or smog check area. Make sure you're in the right lane to turn into this station and don't cut people off. read more

It's freezing in my office so all day I was terrified that I would literally burst into flames and go running out of the building like a scene from "The Fall Guy". I like that Arco gas is cheap, but it's BP and I'm still kinda pissed at them for the mess in the gulf, and charging to use debit cards is lame. read more

The pumps are new in terms of card slots, pin pads, and LCD. There is enough space to move into and out of the gas station for such a small space. The walk-in convenience store is a big plus. There is a restroom the back. My major pet peeve is the $0.35 additional charge for using a debit card. I am not sure but other gas stations only charges around $0.10 additional for card purchases. Hence, only 3 stars. If you are a cash only person, then this gas station will be a great place for you. read more

I'll go ahead and give this location one star for the grounds being clean and the pumps looking as though they are in good repair. I was here earlier this evening. I went to get some gas and to my dismay I tried a pump that seemed to be working but all of a sudden, the clerk told me that the pump wasn't accepting debit cards and that the register inside the window was only accepting cash. Hmm. When we asked why he could't come out to try and help with the pump issue and to make sure the transaction had been cancelled, he only said that he could not go outside. That seemed strange. I'm not sure why he didn't bother to tell us before we tried to get gas from the pump, knowing we would be using a card considering we didn't initially go to the window. . . UGH!! I'm so irritated. I don't know why he didn't say anything earlier. Now I have to also call my bank to be sure that my transaction had been successfully been cancelled. What a headache! I eventually had to move to another pump. It was working and went through the same prompts and everything but the only difference was that it worked with a debit card. I was SO upset, too, to see that while I was pumping gas, the clerk was only sitting behind the glass just staring in my direction. I was with my husband and daughter. I don't know why he was so reluctant to come out and help. Even after telling the clerk that the pump wasn't accepting our card he just told me to go to another pump. He told me to just go to a different pump and that the issue only started a few minutes ago. I asked why he didn't put up a sign or anything about the issue and he only said that he couldn't leave his station. He seemed to have nothing but excuses. This Arco is right off the 710 freeway exit so it's very convenient to pump and get back on the road. Plus this is the second cheapest gas spot in the Alhambra area compared to Costco. The only negative thing about all Arco's is that they charge you a service fee for using Debit cards for purchases. And I don't believe in paying extra for getting the cheapest gas rate.....kind of defeats the whole purpose of buying cheap fuel. read more

The two stars is for having consistently cheap gas. The -3 stars is for terrible customer service and a fee to use your debit card. Also, they don't accept credit. I have been going here for many years, and I can recall at least two occasions in which the older man at the cashier rudely laughed at me for picking up my change that was less than $1. I should probably check in here at least once but trust me, I've been going to this Arco for the past year since I've moved to LA and honestly, these are some of the cheapest gas prices I usually see that's conveniently close-by for me. Though it is usually crowded considering that there are a lot of college students always filling up gas but I find that usually during rush hours, the gas station will be more likely to be packed. Keep in mind that this particular Arco only accepts debit. This gas station considering it's size takes a couple of visits to familiarize yourself with the little maneuvers to get your gas cap on the right side because there's always odd spaces open on the gas pump that can't be pulled up next to with your car just by entering in on a side street. If you're like me & your gas cap is on the driver side, you can always drive behind the actual convenient store itself to reposition your car to get to the other side of gas pumps located closest to the main street. Very well lit, never really worried about safety much because of it but as always, be aware of your surroundings towards the odd midnight hours. read more

A shiny new modern gas station, but unfortunately quite small. Only four pumps that can serve eight vehicles at a time. Even worse is the small size of the station, cars can pile up awaiting a free pump. Located at the extremely busy corner of Valley at Westmount adjacent to the final offramp of the 710 Long Beach freeway. The big draw is the reasonable prices, always fifty cents a gallon less than the Chevron and Mobil Stations on Eastern Avenue at the 10 San Bernardino Freeway. And about a quarter of a dollar less than the new much larger 7-11 gas station adjacent to the first on ramp to the Southbound 710 freeway. read more

This is a great place to get your car repaired. They do all kinds of repairs and are completely honest. They don't push unnecessary services and will do just enough to keep it running if that is what you want. We have been taking our cars here for many years. Very reasonable prices. The guy in the office is super rude and even though he knows you are having a hard time understanding him, will not speak slower or clearer. Using your Arco PumpPass here is different than other Arco stations you have to go inside adn tell them exactly how much you are going to use on the card, so you have to deal with the rude guy. On of the best aspects of the PumpPass is just use and go. Gas is cheaper here but not worth this guys attitude. I'll go to a different station and pay a few cents more, at least I cringe with the thought of having to get gas. read more

Wish I could give a negative star rating!! Beware of horrible debit card scamming from this place. I've been a customer of this gas station since 2007 and the customer service was always just okay. Then I started noticing they were putting anywhere from $150-$200 hold on my debit card when I got gas. money was always released within 24 hours! But one day I tried to get $40 worth of gas and $40 cash back. The cashier tells me my card was declinedthe key pad said approved!!! He asked me to try again. Same thing happens! The cashier has the nerve to say my card is declining. No!!! That's not what this keypad says. The cashier WATCHES ME DO THE TRANSACTION FOR A 3rd time. He saw the APPROVED. Message and starts raising his voice that my card declined. Needless to say my debit card was 3 times, $80, plus their transaction fee! I'm pissed because they have the nerve to dispute the claim and have not reimbursed me yet! I WONT EVER GET GAS FROM HERE! Thank goodness a 7eleven gas station was just built and should be opening soon! IF YOU MUST GO HERE, for goodness sake DO NOT USE A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD!!!! read more
