I used to go to Lims when I didnt feel like doing the work myself. The last 2 times I've been, they've done the work poorly. My rotors were installed incorrectly, my right rotors labeled with 3 large letter Rs were put on the left side and my left rotor was put on the right side, also with 3 letter Ls. My brakes were completely worn in less than 12,000 miles since installation and my rotors were warped beyond resurfacing. Previously I asked them to check my alignment, they told me it was fine, it was not, I needed two new tires, brakes, and rotors. Never coming back, their prices went up, quality went down. read more

I'm a repeat customer at Lim's. He does great work, but the last two visits was disappointing. Took in a vehicle for oil leak and was charged a lot for repairs, still has the leaks. Second vehicle repair cost was waayy too much! Might be time to find a new shop. I'm sad because we have been coming here for years. read more

I had to come out to deliver some material for a flooring project scheduled next week when I discovered coolant leaking, so naturally I scooted under my van to try to find the issue when it decides to explode all over me luckily I was close to Lims auto care. I gave them a call before showing up to see if they could take me and get me back on the road that same day they got me fixed up and back on the road in about 2 hours time definitely recommend read more

A fiend of mine had told me about Lims Aoto Care and spoke very good things about this establishment. So I took his advice recently and gave it a shot. When I started my car to leave Lims immediately noticed a difference just by how it sounded , I turned the corner and accelerated my car responded with a confidence like I hadn't felt in quite some time. Pete and his crew really know there stuff and a great group of guys who can be trusted. Pete is a honest , humble no B.S. type of guy that gets the job done. Lims Auto care got my vote . Two thumbs up five stars read more

They told me my brakes didn't need any work- very honest ! They could have easily taken advantage

Honest and great service!!Peter gives you fair prices and prompt service! We have been loyal customers for over a decade!

I always bring my cars here for smog checks - I'm fortunate not to have run into a need for a mechanic in recent years, so I can't speak to their service in that regard. Regarding the smog-checks, though, they're prompt and friendly. The price is reasonable and, what can I say? I love a mom and pop. Really friendly pair running the place and I value the quality and expediency of services I've received thus far. read more

Replaced my brake pads here! Philip had told me he'll check it out before telling me if the brake pads actually need to be done. My dealership said I needed them done so i wanted a second opinion, and quoted me more than double the price!!! Happy I found this place - will come back for more repairs in the future. read more

Peter the owner is a great and honest mechanic. I don't take my vehicle to anyone else. I highly recommend him

Very unprofessional, asked for a check on freon ac pipes, told me upfront 220, asked where the leakage and holes were, did not give response, ended of with saying "im a mechanic" and threw my keys on the front desk. Very poor attitude, no professionalism whatsoever very dissapointed. read more

Took my car here for a standard smog check (not STAR) and I was in and out within 15 minutes. I called ahead to check how busy they were and the lady told me to go ahead and come in now because they weren't busy. Super quick and easy, and it cost just $35. I would definitely recommend calling ahead just in case - there were a lot of cars in the little lot! read more

My catalytic converter got stolen for the second time- so I took my car to Mr Lim and he got me all fixed up and back on the road again without that awful noise which was waking up the whole damn neighborhood. Thank you guys for getting me back up and running again. read more

Peter is a true professional. I could go on and on about the positive experience with Peter, along with his lovely wife that runs the front office. This was my first time at this shop, and Peter definitely exceeded my expectations. It's such a relief to have found an honest, fair and skilled mechanic. Save yourself the time and stress of searching for an auto repair shop and go see Peter, you will never look back!! Thanks James for referring me, and thanks again Peter and entire staff. read more

Came here to get a smog check, the whole process didn't take no more than 30 mins. They send the info to the DMV and you wait for your stickers. 30.00 later and you are done. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I got an oil change and they didn't put my car parts back on. Now I have to pay for them through Honda because my car is damaged. I called the owner and he was RUDE. Another smog check done, quick and easy. I always call ahead to check if they're busy and for current pricing. As of right now, my smog check was still $30.00 flat. As I was told over the phone, if my car required a Smog Check from STAR approved stations, it would be $45.00. They accept Visa/Mastercard/Discover. read more

My advice to y'all out there. Don't trust this place to service your car. It will cause you more headaches, agony and money to fix it. They don't value your car because they don't have time for that. Time is money for them. I brought my Lexus in for front brake work, new pad and rotor resurface. The brakes started to squealed after two months of driving. I brought my car in for them to check. The fucking owner said the squeals come from the rear brakes which are original factory hardware and pads still have 80% of life. I watched utube what cause brakes to squeal and how to get it fixed. I disassembled the brakes and removed pads to examine the brakes calipers. I discovered that they didn't do any cleaning to the calipers. They didn't put back the original brakes pad shims. The didn't put any anti seize or lubricant on the backing plate. They lost the cotter pin (clip) which keeps the spring rod locked in place. With all these, I wonder if they really resurfaced the rotors. We as customers don't really know...We pay for their service and thrust them to provide quality service. They also lost one Lexus beautiful design tire stem grey cap and replaced it with a cracked beat up regular stem black cap. Can you believe that? All these show the shop mechanics are negligent working on your car. Do you thrust them working on your car because of the yelp ratings? Me? Not anymore. I paid $135 to get the brakes work and I ended up spent 3 hours of my time to fix their work. I should have gone to another shop or got it done it by myself. It's an easy job after watching utube. I would have given this shop a zero star but I am not allowed. read more

No frills, grungy auto shop that I drove 30 minutes out of the way to get to. I am that girl who is super nervous about being duped at an auto shop. Peter is an honest guy who won't overcharge or overpromise you. Try them out yourself! They are busy, so you can't just drop in unless Peter tells you so. Just call ahead and ask what the wait time is like. read more

I have been coming here for years. My car needed to have the engine and alternator replaced. Since it is by appointment only, I was able to get an appointment within a few days. The mechanics made the repairs at a reasonable price. They were also able to fix my AC since it was not working during the heat wave. This place has many returning customers. I have spoken to some while waiting for my car to be serviced. That speaks well of this business. read more

SMOG CHECK $28 no more no less! Simple as that. Got here, no wait, after 5 min we were done and I was ready to go. I compared the price with a few Auto Repair places in this area. Usually it starts at $39 for a smog check. Make sure to call this place first and talk to Peter, the owner. The price vary depends on the year and model of your car and the reason for a smog check. I had to do it, because I just purchased a new car, which I told him and he told me at the phone that it'll be $28. SIMPLE AS THAT. And besides he was very friendly and gave me advises. read more

I came in early in the morning to to get my tail light fixed. The bulb I previously bought and changed myself didn't work after only a few months. I thought I burned the socket buying the wrong one. I told Peter the manager my story and said I'd come pick it up on my lunch break. Promptly he calls me before lunch and explains to me thoroughly the issue. He also tells me anything else he noticed that I should watch out for. Turned out to just need a different bulb change but I appreciated his thoroughness and timeliness. Only $5 for my bulb change I'll be back if needed! read more
