I haghly recommend this shop, always friendly fast, they do an excellent job taking care of my car.

I went for a smog check. Warning don't show up when it says open show up much later. The shop owner was sweet but he wasn't the smog tech. Shop owner told me to wait until smog tech arrived at 9:30a. I waited. Finally 9:54a I went and asked for an update and the shop owner called the smog tech and was told it would be another 20 minutes he was even in the road. This is rather frustrating since I was going by the time posted, my time is as valuable as the next. read more

Peter is super unprofessional and rude after I told him Gary gave a different price over the phone he said no I don't want to talk to you anymore. Odd thing to do. Paid their up-charged price but won't be going back read more

I have been doing business with Gary at SmogPros Alhambra for over 30 years. I currently live in Ventura County and I take all of my cars to them there can't give it a better rating than that. read more

I come here for any issues with my car period. Best price and service you'll find in the greater Los Angeles area. They're a no nonsense shop and will not tell you that you need an endless list of things done. Simply what you NEED only which I appreciate as a girl that knows nothing about cars haha. read more

These guys are AMAZING! My son and I drove in from Vegas and our car happened to start to break down in the middle of the intersection, next to this car repair/smog test place. Peter & the rest of the mechanics were closing up for the day but told me what the problem was with my car. I was super worried because I was only to be in town for a few days and needed the car for work. Peter & his team were very responsive, called me the next morning to let me know what was wrong and fixed it in one hour. My husband (who was stuck in Vegas & couldn't help me) and I are forever grateful for this mechanic shop. They didn't pressure me and told me I had choices, which is exceptional customer service. Thanks guys! You guys are a real hidden gem & I give my highest recommendation to this place. read more

Do not come here to get your brakes done!! I came here about a year and a half ago to get new brake pads. Looking back on it, I should've done more research before coming here. Anyways, Peter helped me out and he told me that he could get the job done. So I trusted him and man they absolutely messed up my brakes. They put in new pads and resurfaced the rotors. Weeks later, they started screeching and so I just took it back and they put lubricant on my brakes or something? It was a temporary fix for about a few days. So I took it back again and they told me they resurfaced the rotors again and put more lubricant on it. AGAIN... brakes started screeching so I took it back a third time and they basically just told me they don't know why my brakes are screeching. They tried to tell me that it's normal. They definitely don't know what they're doing when it comes to brakes. I typically don't leave reviews but this terrible experience has weighed on my mind ever since. I'm leaving this review to hopefully save other's time and money. read more

I went to smog pros to get some assistance filing for the Consumer Assistance program. Instead of giving me information that wasn't true to gain the business, they told me the truth and recommended I go to a Cap certified repair facility. Due the great price for the smog and the Cap repair facility saying the first step is smog inspection, I came back to do the test. They include one free retest once the vehicle is repaired. read more

People here are very helpful and they will not scam you like these other mechanics. Forever grateful for these people

Needed a smog check and service before selling my Honda fit. Did a quick price comparison and this shop had the lowest prices and best reviews. Gary had me in and out without waiting read more

The best auto mechanics in So Cal. Fast service with honest prices. Gary and his team have kept our family rolling for many years. read more

Quick, easy, friendly and affordable. I highly recommend if you need to get a smog check. They also said they do other work, so I could see bringing my vehicle to them if need be for minor repair. read more

It's great to have a mechanic you can trust. Great customer service, knowledgeable mechanics, fast, and competitive price. They will handle a quick oil change using Mobil motor oil and 90,000 miles maintenance service if needed. Small waiting area inside the shop with two seats. Even with three in ground car lifts and three mechanics working, I would call for an appointment. Located a bit too far for my liking, although I would drive to see them for piece of mind. Recommend these guys highly. read more

Just your average smog check station. I'm glad this one is attached to an Arco. I get to buy some snacks while I wait. Smog test is $29.95 and the State Smog Test Certificate is an additional $8.25. To save money you can tell them you don't want the certificate since they are suppose to send it electronically the the DMV. Otherwise, they will charge you for the certificate which is basically a piece of paper that expires in 90 days. Its up to you! read more

Ask for Gary or Peter. Trustworthy, friendly, honest mechanics for auto repair and maintenance. Oil change, smog check, brake service, etc. My family has been coming here for decades so you know they're an honest group of individuals fixing your vehicle here. Located conveniently off the 710 freeway on Valley Blvd (literally RIGHT off the fwy, after you make your right turn). They really don't need my review since they have great business, but I like giving businesses the recognition they deserve. I came here for an oil change and Peter took me right in even though he was concurrently working on 3 or 4 other cars. I arrived later than my designated appointment time and Peter was very forgiving and flexible about it. I was in and out in less than 15-20 minutes. Their waiting area allows you to watch while they work on your vehicle or read the Daily News newspaper on the counter. $26.95 for oil change- Fantastic! read more

I live in Upland and make the drive to this place for all my oil changes. It's hard finding honest mechanics that are decently priced. This place is a hidden gem. I've referred a few people here that have all said the same. Do you and your car a favor and check this place out for your next oil change. read more

It's nice to have trusted mechanics! I came here recommended by one of my friends and I'm glad I did! The gentleman are always very nice and get the work done pretty fast! Overall I'm happy I have found my mechanic! read more

If you're looking for a straight-forward and honest place to service your vehicle, you've found it. Gary and all his guys are the best. I take my 2003 Toyota Sequoia and 2012 VW Bug here for all services including all smog checks and oil changes. They work on all cars, are efficient, and play no games with pricing. Conveniently located at the end (or start) of the 710 freeway in Alhambra. Bathrooms, snacks, drinks, and gas are also on-site. Highly, highly recommended. read more

In and out in 15 mins. I called first to ask for quote and time to come. The man performing the check was nice and service was prompt. Called at least 4 places and this was the most affordable and comparable to the most affordable smog check places I've been to. 38 dollars out the door with certificate and instant notice to the DMV. read more

Been coming here for years! Gary and his crew are super nice and honest! They don't over charge or trick you into fixing something that don't need it. For example: one time i made the mistake of going to pep boys for an oil change and they tried to get me to pay for new brake rotors. This was gonna cost a lot. So i went back to Gary on the next oil change and told him. He could have easily told me yes and charged me for this work. But he didn't. He said i didn't need all that work but he did check them and fixed the brakes but he didn't charge an arm and a leg for it.. I totally recommend going to them!!! read more

I found myself a new smog check spot I used to drive down to San Gabriel to an arco on Las Tunas which was quick and cheap but is no longer there. I happened to stumble upon this place while looking to do a smog test on my g35 coupe last week, and IM glad I did. This place is cheaper and i think closer than the other spot I went to that closed down. $38.20 (with certificate), about $10 cheaper than the place right around the corner from me. read more
