I've gone a few times for breakfast and they are usually my go to when I'm in the neighborhood. Definitely come here if you wanna grab a quick bite. Their service is also really good. This diner WAS always a great spot for a great bowl of soup it was fresh and delicious no matter what kind of soup you ate.Went today on Monday September 1st 2025 for their pea soup and croutons for a take out. Got home took two spoonfuls and it was disgusting and sour.The croutons were definitely not the same as they use to be they were not good. i used to order from here all the time but today will be my last . i ordered a grilled cheese and french fries for delivery and i live down the block and they took over an hour to deliver it so of course it was freezing. I love to come to eat breakfast at George's and a few of the waitresses are good but the very thin waitress is always rude. she spends her time talking to the other waitresses and forgets to take care of her customers. I asked her for more coffee and she got an attitude with me. I was appalled at her attitude. We were sitting right by the cash register and it was the only table available. My daughter was about to give her a piece of her mind but I stopped her. I don't care how mserable you are. if you don't like your job look for a job elsewhere. This is not the type of job for you. Don't make the customers feel bad for wanting another cup of coffee. I'll pay whatever it is but don't get an attitude with anyone. I was very disappointed today at George's. Today about 4pm my son and I stopped by to have early dinner. My son ordered the spinach raviolis and to his dismay, there was a small bone in one of his raviolis. I was very upset and we couldn't believe it. I would never return here. I came here with my cousin, my friend, and his two kids. I honestly wished we stood hungry. SERVICE/FOOD HORRIBLE! The waiter can barely hear; I don't have a problem with older employees but if he cannot take an order he shouldn't be put in that position. He took our order and repeated each order twice. NOBODY mentioned bacon, not even him when he repeated the order. Additionally, instead of ham i asked for extra turkey bacon or sausage. My food comes with 2 links and 3 pieces of bacon- just like my cousin who did not get a substitution. When I told him he began to argue with me and said there was more bacon on the plate... Thereafter, we told the manager what happened and his response was "if you don't want it well take it off the bill" ; super RUDE and DISTASTEFUL. FOOD Food is actually pretty good. In the section where it allows you to write in instructions, I included I didn't want tomatoes and I indicated I wanted additional mayo. I went to go pick it up and I was confused as to why this place was so empty, considering it was dinner time. The pie was really underwhelming. It was sooo sweet for me and lacked the coconut flavor. Just visited this horrible diner for a late breakfast. The place was half empty, more than adequately staffed, yet everything from start to finish was horrible. The only people who seem to know what they're doing are the bus boys. The food was awful and not what I had ordered, we were missing half of the things we needed - such as cutlery, half the meal that never showed up, napkins. The service was even worse. I've been to grimey diners in A.C. that had one person cooking, serving, and bussing the whole place that were better run than this shithole. Not once did the waitress check on us, so everytime we needed something, we had to flag her down. Which was great because she was being nasty the whole time. I've been going to George's for over 10 years for breakfast and have ventured for dinner a few times. Their dinner has been decent but I prefer their breakfast. I always order an healthy garden omelet for myself and the kids love french Toast and pancakes. The portion size is good but their price point is a little steep for breakfast. Usually the service is good but can be not so great when they're busy, such as during the holidays. The staff are very nice and do try to address any issue you may have with your service. read more
