I got 2 personal sized Hawaiian pizzas. They were BOGO (buy one get one free) on UberEats for $10.95. They were generous with the sliced ham and pineapple (canned, not fresh, but to be expected). I omitted the sesame seeds that they usually sprinkle on the crust. One thing I really like about Red Swan Pizza is they have a number of free toppings. I didn't take advantage of any this time, but they are: green olives, garlic, cilantro, garlic and chili pepper flakes. I ordered on UberEats for pickup. Staff were pleasant and pickup was quick and easy. They have seats inside to eat, but the ambiance is "takeout pizza joint" lol. This location is located in a newer strip mall. But, these dudes totally know their pizza *and* make luscious Indian, and beat out an enormous number of Ottawa restaurants in both categories. I am not much of a crust fan and tend to always ask for thin crust. I stopped doing that here because the crust is terrific. I don't know what the deal with the pizza sauce is, but it makes the whole thing totally crave-worthy. The toppings and cheese ratios are perfect. The paneer dish was in the smoothest and richest of sauces, and the rice and naan were just right. It's a pretty basic little spot, looks like any pizza takeaway joint and only has a few tables, but, when I received an offer to be taken out and spoiled in a restaurant for my birthday this year, I went here. The food is so good I couldn't think of anywhere else I would have preferred to go. And while it might seem like an odd mix, pizza and Indian are just about my two favourite restaurant types; it's actually kind of a genius combination. Everything is very fresh, and you never get an under- or over-cooked pizza. I asked for spinach as a topping recently and was told _very_ apologetically that it was probably about to disappear from the menu -- "nobody orders it; I end up just throwing it out, box after box," and I had to pause for a moment to realise he had been buying fresh spinach. So many other places would have tossed on frozen and not cared! (Pizzaria Unlimited: please consider replacing it with broccoli, and, frozen is just fine...) This review was written with considerable difficulty as I do not have their food in front of me, and thinking about it is making me drool all over the screen.

They liked their meals better than I liked mine. I did notice on the menu that they had Rarebit. I love Welsh Rarebit and I rarely (haha, pun intended) see this on the menu anywhere in Ottawa. I regret not ordering it while I was there. Service was competent. It looks like they have lots of regulars. Servers seemed more friendly with the regulars than us non-locals. I am not a beer drinker so the fact that this is a brew pub makes no difference to me, but my husband enjoyed trying their beer. Not an overabundance of wait-staff in this place. On the down-side: it was so busy in here! Such a popular place, even on a Wednesday evening - full to the rafters! You couldn't hear yourself think! And it was so H O T in there! The flies were having a party! On the up-side: our group of about 15 people was part of the problem: loud, and hungry and thirsty! Even better: they have started selling little brown jugs of their home brew. Yeah!!! We'll definitely be back.
