In addition to my Generator install and service, I reached out to GenTex Elite Services LLC to see if they could refer me to an electician to change out my porch lights. As it turns out, they do general electical work as well. The entire team was professional, efficient, paid attention to detail throughout the process, plus THEY ARE NATURE FRIENDLY. I want to give a huge shoutout to Arron and his crew at GenTex Elite Services. I scheduled service with them after discovering black graphite dust in the bottom of the pan on our 24K Generac generator while checking the oil. Concerned, I contacted Generac customer support. They gave me a case number and recommended I reach out to a certified Generac dealer for a full inspection. Before calling Generac, I had done extensive research and came across a video posted by Arron on his website. In it, he explained in detail how to disassemble a Generac generator and pinpoint the part most likely causing the issue I was seeing. I was impressed by his expertise and immediately called his company to schedule service. Cinthia answered the phone and quickly transferred me to Arron after hearing my concern. Arron said he would send his lead technician, Verrel, to run a full diagnostic and help file a warranty claim with Generac if needed. Verrel arrived right on time and thoroughly inspected the generator from front to back. He ran every test possible and confirmed that the black graphite dust was coming from the brushes. Fortunately, he explained that it wasn't an issue requiring immediate attention. After the inspection, he cleaned both the inside and outside of the generator and ran a full power outage simulation to ensure it would function properly during an actual outage. Throughout the visit, Verrel answered all my questions and explained each step of the process. His professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding. Over all 5-star rating on my generator install. The team texted me when in route, showed up and installed my generator with little down time. Supervisor showed up at the end of the install and explained the workings of the unit and things I had to do when power goes out. GenTex provided service on time and fast I may add. The tech that came out is Austin, an enthusiastic and knowledgeable young man. I received a call from Selena at the GENTEX office, and she was a pleasure to talk to and she let me know that Austin was on his way. Austin corrected the low oil pressure issue occurring in our 45 KW Generac genset and Austin examined our natural gas regulator and he showed me the crude that had accumulated over 12 years and it needed to be replaced. I have used other local generator service companies and therefore I know the difference between a company that aims to please the customer. GENTEX reminds me of how Chick Fil A operates, with customer satisfaction as their focus, their goal, their mission statement. read more

This company is by far the most professional company I've ever dealt with. They show up on time, do a wonderful job and they are very friendly. I've used them 2 times in the last 7 months. The first time for a repair and the second time for a yearly service. I switched to them because I couldn't get any help from my original service provider Quality Generators. read more

Paid $425.00 dollars for annual generator service a few days prior to Tropical Storm Beryl. We lost power during the storm. Generator came on then immediately off. I manually started it, it began smoking. I shut it off and noticed the coolant reservoir was empty but there were no leaks. Contact was made via the phone and subsequently email. The service person came, identified the belt was bad (oddly). He also filled up the radiator with coolant (interesting). No part, had to order. Company says he cannot replace belt until $200.00 dollars invoice is paid (SERVICE CALL). I was willing although upset until I was informed: I WAS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL $200.00 dollars (service call) plus the cost of the belt. In total the estimate for a belt and annual inspection $1000.00 dollars. Why is the customer responsible for the cost of them not having the required parts and returning? That's insidious. Why didn't the service person discover the belt problem during the annual? The generator was never on after his service prior to the storm, so how did it malfunction? Why did he have to add coolant if he'd topped it off before? Especially since he acknowledged, there weren't any leaks or residue inside generator. I ended up hiring someone else, which cost me funds I don't have, but I refuse to give them any more of my money. One final note, the customer service representatives are rude and could less about anything except the invoices due. By far, this is the worst experience I have encountered in my life.
