    Veggie and meat bar.

Mongolian bbq at the mall. Seemed cool at first. I was confused by the system though. No signs. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to touch the sauces until the lady snapped at me. I asked the cook if he could clean the stove for me and he could have just said 'no sorry we clean it every hour and this is not our scheduled time. Instead, he kind of passive aggressively said yes, took the rest of the line, made me wait, started arguing with me, made sure he was as loud as possible and then finally cleaned it. It's ok to just say no sorry that's not a thing we do. Ordered: Customized bowl, beef, chicken, veggies. I'll skip it next time.

Gengis Khan is located in the food court of the Great Mall. It's made-to-order Mongolian stir fry. What I love about this restaurant is the cafeteria style set up. You to create your perfect meal by selecting from a variety of fresh ingredients. You pay a flat fee. What ever you can fit in your bowl (w/o noodles) goes onto the grill. Tofu, chicken, turkey, pork and beef. There are tons of vegetables choices as well. At the end of the line there sits the large circular grill where you watch skilled chefs cook your food. Not only do you get a custom meal, you get a cooking show. My food was amazing as always.

FOOD : Great food and flavors. Not much that can go wrong with plan veggies and noodles. SERVICE: I'm a vegetarian and asked the team to clean the surface before they cook my noodles and vegetables and they were very through with the cleaning even though they were super busy. Great service. AMBIANCE: It's inside the food court of the mall so technically no direct ambience for the store. But then the overall ambience of the food court is great since they upgraded the food court a few years ago in great mall. VERDIT : I would say a good try for the experience.

I remember this place used to be Chef Chengdu, but recently closed down and rebranded to become Super Potato. Here's my take and my experience on this place, as a first timer thus far: - The food was honestly out of this world, and when I say the portions are BIG - they were actually enough to cover the container (and even more). That's how much they have. I got the beef tripe with Chinese broccoli and rice, and while I had wished they included more Chinese broccoli, the sauce of the beef tripe was SO pungent and aromatic that I was able to sauce up my rice and enhance the flavor of my plain white rice. - The hospitality of this place was quite well - the waitresses are very attentive to each detail. Our requests were met conveniently without any hesitation. Ambience was also pretty well maintained. I'm definitely gonna come back and have more!! A budget friendly place forsure :)

My friend got the brown sugar rice cakes and wasn't expecting to love it but it was so so good, very crunchy and chewy at the same time!

Whenever I come back to California, the beef ball rice stick noodle soup is at the very top of my must eat list. The soup is genius in its simplicity. Clear, flavorful broth creates a perfect accompaniment to the bouncy, ribbon like noodles. The meatballs are so tender and springy, and unlike any meatball I've ever encountered. Crunchy pork fat bits and greens swim about and add fun variety in every bite. This is the soup I want when I'm heartbroken (often), sick (annoying), or hungover (unfortunately also often). The fact that I have to fly several thousand miles to get it is my only negative about it. I'm confused why there's so many different variations of tk noodle but honestly I don't really care. I just want there to be one in Nashville. If yall want to open in Nashville slide in my dm's.

I do wish people wouldn't play sounds or their phones while eating, it's just inconsiderate to others. I was really impressed by their rice cake with egg dish. So flavorful and perfectly matched with the vinegar dipping sauce. I also really enjoyed their assorted noodle soup. The broth could have used a bit more salt, but I thought it had good flavor. All of the components including the shrimp and the meatballs were tasty. Definitely want to come back for more.

The flavor is comforting and well-balanced without being overly salty, and the texture is smooth and satisfying. I highly recommend pairing it with their dough stick (youtiao). It's crispy on the outside, slightly chewy inside, while still staying light and fluffy. Dipping it into the congee completely changes the experience and honestly feels like a must-order combination. Another standout for me is the steamed spareribs with black bean and taro. The spareribs are tender and flavorful, and the black bean sauce adds a savory depth without overpowering the dish. Service continues to be efficient and well-organized, even when busy. One thing I noticed is that the restaurant is especially popular with elderly customers, which honestly says a lot about the food being comforting, traditional, and consistent. Almost every table had some combination of congee, rice rolls, and steamed dishes, which seems to be the way to go here. Overall, this is the kind of place that becomes easy to return to once you find your favorite dishes.

The Shrimp Rice Rolls are the clear star--the rice noodle is incredibly smooth and thin, which is the mark of a great chang fen. They don't skimp on the shrimp, and the sweet soy sauce ties it all together perfectly. For something heartier, the Wonton Noodle Soup features a very clean, savory broth and snap-to-the-bite noodles. The Pork Congee is also a winner; it's silky, flavorful, and exactly what you want on a cold day or when you're craving something soothing. We also grabbed the Shiu Mai, which were plump and well-seasoned with a great meat-to-shrimp ratio. The kitchen is efficient, and the flavors are consistently authentic. It's a reliable spot for a great quality, traditional meal that never misses the mark. Prices are reasonable and service is fairly quick but there's also a QR code for an optional online ordering for some.

Although Taishoken is known for their tsukemen, I'll always opt for mazesoba if I see it on a menu. The mazesoba here is easily some of the best I've had in the Bay Area. The included piece of chashu is well-seasoned, fall apart tender and had a good balance of lean to fatty meat. The noodles are cooked to perfection and have a really nice chew to them. There is just the right amount of sauce in the dish, and the raw egg yolk adds a wonderful richness that coats each strand of noodle when mixed. Included with your mazesoba is a small side of vinegar. I would definitely recommend trying out the mixed mazesoba on its own -- without the vinegar, and adding in the vinegar about half-way in in order to try out a completely different flavor profile of the noodles. The acidity of the vinegar cuts through the richness and keeps you coming back for bite after bite. If you've never tried mazesoba before, I can't recommend it enough at Taishoken.
