Gengis Khan is located in the food court of the Great Mall. It's made-to-order Mongolian stir fry. What I love about this restaurant is the cafeteria style set up. You to create your perfect meal by selecting from a variety of fresh ingredients. You pay a flat fee. What ever you can fit in your bowl (w/o noodles) goes onto the grill. Tofu, chicken, turkey, pork and beef. There are tons of vegetables choices as well. At the end of the line there sits the large circular grill where you watch skilled chefs cook your food. Not only do you get a custom meal, you get a cooking show. My food was amazing as always.

FOOD : Great food and flavors. Not much that can go wrong with plan veggies and noodles. SERVICE: I'm a vegetarian and asked the team to clean the surface before they cook my noodles and vegetables and they were very through with the cleaning even though they were super busy. Great service. AMBIANCE: It's inside the food court of the mall so technically no direct ambience for the store. But then the overall ambience of the food court is great since they upgraded the food court a few years ago in great mall. VERDIT : I would say a good try for the experience.

Pork Wonton with Chili Sauce - 9/10. The dumpling were so juicy and the pork inside was very flavorful. The chili sauce added a nice kick of spice and was so savory. Braised Chicken with Flat Noodles - 8/10. The flat noodles were the best part of the dish and honestly it wasn't spicy! Numb Spicy beef flat Noodles - 10/10. This dish had a strong kick to it! It was spicy but the best part was that the spice did not overwhelm the flavor. The wide chewy noodles soak up every bit of the rich savory sauce making each bite so flavorful. They also have so many toppings other than the beef too which I liked.

I remember this place used to be Chef Chengdu, but recently closed down and rebranded to become Super Potato. Here's my take and my experience on this place, as a first timer thus far: - The food was honestly out of this world, and when I say the portions are BIG - they were actually enough to cover the container (and even more). That's how much they have. I got the beef tripe with Chinese broccoli and rice, and while I had wished they included more Chinese broccoli, the sauce of the beef tripe was SO pungent and aromatic that I was able to sauce up my rice and enhance the flavor of my plain white rice. - The hospitality of this place was quite well - the waitresses are very attentive to each detail. Our requests were met conveniently without any hesitation. Ambience was also pretty well maintained. I'm definitely gonna come back and have more!! A budget friendly place forsure :)

The texture is super super super soft, I honestly thought there would be more of a chew or bite. I liked it, but didn't love it. I don't think I would come here just for the noodles. However, the flavor was pretty good, wasn't too spicy and had a lot of the mala flavor in the soup! I also really enjoyed the pork ears and cucumber, refreshing. My friend got the brown sugar rice cakes and wasn't expecting to love it but it was so so good, very crunchy and chewy at the same time!

The concept might be simple but the possibilities are endless! I went absolutely overboard with my proteins (both beef and lamb), enoki mushroom, napa cabbage, tripe, baby corn, fish balls filled with roe and tofu skin. I saw that they had tofu mochi too and it was one of the best new things I decided to give a try. The bone broth was rich, flavorful and had that perfect mala kick with the numbing spice. I got mild flavor so it was not the kind of spicy that I could not tolerate. Each topping also soaked up all the flavorful broth. My friend got the medium spicy bone broth and that was packed a punch! I love how all the ingredients are fresh and fully restocked. The staff is very efficient. On the positive side, they do offer a large variety of ingredients to choose from. When my bowl was served, I realized it wasn't the one I had ordered. They had accidentally switched my bowl with another customer's. Later, while eating, I came across some of the marinated cilantro beef, which looked raw. I asked the server if it could be cooked a bit longer, but she explained that it was supposed to be pink. I tried a small piece, but the texture was still very tender, which made me uncomfortable. It also didn't have the texture of what I expected from beef. My cousin also had an issue with her bowl. The lotus root slices were cut fairly thick, so after cooking, it was still undercooked and crunchy. Overall, it was a disappointing experience due to the cleanliness concerns, the order mix-up, and the food quality. There are plenty of ingredient options, but I don't see myself returning.

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. Most of the short rib slices were soft and a few were slightly chewy but overall decent quality. Some of the fattier pieces of meat were still attached to the bone.

I came here on a Friday evening with my friend to grab dinner around 6:00 PM. The wait was around an hour, so be very prepared if you're coming during the dinner rush. This spot is located where the majority of the Asian restaurants are in Milpitas, so it's safe to say the parking can get a bit hectic and intense. The interior of the place is very bright, modern, and clean. There is a lot of seating for a small space, but the reason they are so busy has a lot to do with the number of people wanting to check this spot out. When you sit down, you scan their virtual menu via QR code and order there instead of through a server. You have the choice to order on one phone as a group or separately. Between my friend and me, we ordered a beef mint salad, fried tofu, confit mushrooms, and truffle mushroom rice. I will say that when we first got the fried tofu and confit mushrooms, we were quite surprised by the small portions compared to the price. That said, they were delicious, but skippable if you're trying to find the best bang for your buck. What I absolutely would recommend is their truffle mushroom fried rice. This might have been my best bite this month. It was so savory, the mushrooms hit perfectly, and the coating of butter on the rice was supreme. It was $28 for a bowl, but it was a good value to split between two people. Overall, this place had great, fast service (our food came out in under 10 minutes), a nice ambiance, and fresh, flavorful food.

There aren't many (any) Henan restaurants in Bay Area so this is a good addition to the mix of cuisines we get here. The restaurant is clean and cozy and service is attentive (the waitress walked me through their whole menu). Both dishes we ordered have flat wheat based noodles in it. The braised noodles soup feels a bit like Pan Mee from South East Asia except the soup from the steak (more like beef ribs) is super tasty deep beef broth (no hint of msg which is good). The big beef plate reminds me a bit of the Peruvian stir fry with the sliced and fried potatoes. What a great find and a great opportunity to try out Henan food. Will definitely come back again to try other dishes. Btw we were here on a weekday and the place is full!

Each one of them are slightly unique, and they're all really good! If the high ratings weren't a accurate indicator, then the packed venues are definitely a conformation. Henan Noodle isn't the biggest venue, it's actually on the smaller side; small mom & pop operation. The place is charming, clean and inviting with a minimalist decor. The restaurant is located in a small plaza off N Milpitas Blvd. I forsee challenging parking during peak times; the lot is not that big either. The service was fine. Everything necessary was already laid out on the table, well organized and ready to dine in; bowls, chopsticks, cups, napkins, soup spoons and cold water. Scan the QR code on the table and place your order. Food came out in a timely manner. I'm not sure if lady running the place (at the time of our visit) speaks English; she gave us instructions in Chinese, I'm guessing Mandarin. We had no clue what she said, but were able to figure out what she was telling us...basically the condiments are self serve, small station in the corner against the wall. #SendNoods Braised Noodle 烩面: ~ Pickled Cabbage & Black Fish with Lamb 酸菜黑鱼羊汤烩面 - 5/5 Brilliant flavor. Well balanced, not too salty, gamey or creamy. Just perfect! The pieces of fish were so tender, good amount of noodle and that pickled cabbage...just brilliant! We didn't feel the need to add anything. ~ Lamb Stew Noodle 羊肉烩面 - 4.5/5 Another banger! The broth on this one was a bit bland, while it tasted clean and healthy we thought it was lacking a bit of flavor. We added a bit of Chili oil and walah!!! Perfection... lol. At least to out pallets. Everything else was perfect. The dishes are very filling, even though they don't look that intimidating at first. I can't wait to try some of the other dishes. I'll be back!
