They removed the seafood mix, and now it's an extra $2 for just six small pieces of shrimp, which honestly isn't worth it at all. The service is okay, nothing special. One thing that bothered me was that they don't explain the sauces they add--only asking if you want garlic or spicy--so you don't really know what you're getting. The cooking show is always fun to watch, and I did appreciate that they handled the noodles themselves since that part can be intimidating. While my food tasted good and had decent flavor, the reduced options and added charges make this place less appealing than it used to be. Instead, he kind of passive aggressively said yes, took the rest of the line, made me wait, started arguing with me, made sure he was as loud as possible and then finally cleaned it. You to create your perfect meal by selecting from a variety of fresh ingredients. You pay a flat fee. What ever you can fit in your bowl (w/o noodles) goes onto the grill. Tofu, chicken, turkey, pork and beef. There are tons of vegetables choices as well. At the end of the line there sits the large circular grill where you watch skilled chefs cook your food. SERVICE: I'm a vegetarian and asked the team to clean the surface before they cook my noodles and vegetables and they were very through with the cleaning even though they were super busy. He proceeded to hefty scoop of chili oil and then started putting every single sauce in. I've legit been waiting patiently for Gengis Khan to open up so I could get my Mongolian stir fry noodle fix. While I'd like to say that good things happen to those who wait... this is not the case!! The remodel and name change is great! Kudos for that! Unfortunately, those are the only things to rave about. The protein offerings have changed with lamb no longer being an option, nor are assorted frozen seafood. Noodle portions are no longer self served and the sauce station is 100% lacking. There is no teriyaki sauce and the sauces that are provided are bland or taste salty. My plate of noodles tasted like it was only seasoned with salt. It was missing some sweetness to balance things out. Noodles were mushy and I know for a fact that I didn't overdo it with the sauces. 1 star. Pricy for nothing!! I waited this whole time for them to reopen and the wait wasn't justified. I won't be coming back, the old Great Khan's was so much better. This place was a huge disappointment. Half the fun of Mongolian bbq is to see how high you can pile on the noodles but they no longer let you do this. **This place is under new management** I've been going to 'GREAT KHAN' (now Gengis Khan) off and on for the last 20 years. I had come to Great Mall about 6 months ago and saw that they were closed for remodeling. Came back over the weekend and saw it finally opened. It looked different and I noticed the super nice ladies from the last 20 years were no longer there. I talked w/ the cashier and he said they were gone and the establishment is now under new management. First thing I noticed is the price! Regular bowl and a drink is $24!!! And the bowl looked a little smaller than the previous ownership. For $24 I can just go to a sit down restaurant and it'll cost me less.. Ok, fine, inflation, I'll let it pass. The next thing you notice is no more seafood options. I use to love adding the crab and shrimp. Nope , gone! The biggest Loss though is no more Lamb. I use to go here just for the lamb. I use to love the lamb here. But now it's turkey! I'm not a turkey guy. I asked the cashier as well and he's like no we won't have lamb anymore. The veggie part is pretty much the same but for the sauces, they have the guy behind the counter doing the sauces. You can't do it by yourself. And they only have a limited amount of sauces compared to the older owners. I really miss the teriyaki and Korean BBQ sauces that the previous owner had. And the noddles are also served now by the guy behind the counter. So I get it. The new management is cutting corners to make a profit. It's business. But I really wish they would come back with the lamb and seafood. My food just didnt taste good. It was very bland. Maybe it was lamb taste that was missing. I don't know. Great to have Mongolian grill back inside of the Great Mall but the new Gengis Khan isn't as flavorful as Great Khan's.. there's less veggies to choose from and they've switched their lamb to Turkey. Aside from removing their teriyaki sauce, their sauces are also no longer self-serve so you can't add as much as you want. The price remains at 17.99 but it's not as good.. a long wait opening just to be disappointed.. Update: to give it more flavor and actually taste good. Terrible customer service, they limit you on sauces as if it's coming out of their salaries. Since they want to be cheap with how much to put in the bowl, it shows that they don't care about customer satisfaction. Rip Great Khanz. -Meat Selection limited, no more seafood options/imitation crab -No more self serve sauce bar, they skimp even when I asked for more scoops of bbq/garlic. Makes the final dish bland as hell after watered down limited sauce, and gallon of water to cook -Noodles different, almost like a spaghetti. Much harder and doesn't absorb the sauce/flavor. No more self serve noodles too, they add it for you later (decent portion) -If you thought they didn't clean the grill before, enjoy Used to create the perfect bowl according to my taste, craved it all the time. Horrible shit place after re-opened... First they charge a non-cash charge without notice. Second they do not label their source. Third there is no lamb meat anymore...
