I'll start by saying this place would get 4-5 stars if the service were better. It's in a cute building that looks like a former house. The layout is narrow but welcoming. The food? Fabulous brunch! I got an omelette. My bf got a great waffle with pork belly and sriracha. This dish was spectacularly flavored! About the service: SLOW. Meaning: we waited 20 minutes to order food...as did the other 2 tables in our room. One table asked each other, "What are we doing here? Eating? Let's leave the waitress seems to have forgotten." The waitress, who was very nice, apologized as they left and promptly took the orders of the 1 remaining table and us. The food came out after about 20 minutes. The entire visit was 1 hour 20 minutes...and the place wasn't busy. Good food. But tooooo slow! read more

Table of 6 for dinner - did not disappoint! The short ribs and linguini - melt in your mouth - and the gluten-free crab cakes were out of this world. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and the desserts were perfection. Will definitely be back! read more

We are huge fans of this darling restaurant, and we went again this past weekend with some great friends. The chef/owner, Joe, goes out of his way to make everyone feel at home, and his cooking is outstanding. He makes gnocchi like they're clouds, little delicious delectable clouds. My wife had a bowl of corn and crabmeat chowder that proved simply "devine." I took two of my daughters out this past Friday night. We had a reservation for 7:45. We arrived at 7:35 and table was not ready until 7:55. No problem. We ordered are meal by about 8:10. We started with salad. I asked for the bread. Didn't come out for maybe another 20 minutes. We had are main course and they kept coming up to the table to try and clear our plates. We shared a desert and then they were closing the restaurant down at 9:00. They actually started shutting off lights before we left. The food was really good. The service by everyone was really poor. It is a bring your own restaurant but even without liquor the meal for one salad, three entrees and one desert was about $170 with tip. A little expensive to not be able to sit and dine. Felt like we were extremely rushed after having to wait to be seated. Why would they offer a 7:45 reservation (run late) and start shutting down at 9? read more

Stopped in for lunch on Mothers Day-they found a table for us despite being fully booked for the holiday. Wonderful lunch; I had the Kobe burger and my wife had chicken salad with scallop/sweet potato soup. All was excellent and we look forward to returning for dinner outside during warmer weather. We went after thanksgiving and they had decorated for the holidays and it was very atmospheric. Almost romantic even during the day. The service was fast, friendly, helpful, and just over all very pleasant. I highly recommend a reservation but if your party is small (2 or less) they normally try to fit you in. The food is some of the best in town. Very unique take on traditional items, some more special to them plates, and everything is very flavorful. Overall, highly recommended. read more

The food is good with an interesting if somewhat limited menu. It's a tiny charming place right in the middle of town across from the movie theater. We were only unhappy there once and that was due their admonishment when we booked that we'd have to leave by 8:30 so they could seat another party. Sure enough at 8:15 they reminded us unceremoniously and hustled us out quickly. It tends to leave a sour note although we'll probably return owing to the short list of good eateries in Doylestown. read more

Just went back with a friend and again- the food was noteworthy. I got the shrimp tacos and they were spicy -crispy and served in thin flour tortillas with crunchy slaw on top. Generous serving of hand cut fries to go with. My friend got the avocado Benedict and said it was delicious. We shared a slice of key lime pie- creamy and a nice balance of tart to sweet. I came in for dinner with a large group. This a small byob, reservations recommended for dinner. The place is quaint and quiet, and with our reservation, we were seated immediately in the back room. We started with the crispy squid, beet and citrus, and the little neck clams. The squid was good, pretty standard seasoning for calamari. The beet and citrus, while good ingredients were included, was disjointed. Everything was on a wooden platter but didn't real sit well together, even though beets and goat cheese normally do, it was just an awkward layout. The clams were cooked well and had nice seasoning. For dinner, there were a wide array of choices selected, from the gnocchi, to the pork chop, crabcake, pappardelle and beef tenderloin. The best options were the pappardelle and beef. The pork was unfortunately over cooked and the gnocchi, while cooked well, lacked something to bring the dish together like a light sauce or some olive oil (similar to the issue with the beet and citrus app). The beef tenderloin though was cooked very well, medium rare and the pappardelle was al dente and flavorful. A place like this is a worth a stop, I have a feeling some of the items we didn't like could change on a nightly basis. read more

Quaint, comfortable and friendly restaurant...nice vibe the minute you walk in. The Chef/owner even came out to our table. (Places always seem to run better when the owner is around). He seemed to take a lot of pride in the place and I love supporting local businesses. The food was delicious. It isn't a large menu but great choices. I narrowed down to the bean burger and my friends each had soup and salads. The soups were unique and filling. One was a cauliflower soup and the other I am not sure exactly. We all enjoyed. Fresh ingredients and generous portions. It was a pretty warm, nice winter day so after lunch we enjoyed our stroll around Doylestown. It was a great day! read more

4 1/2* Really cute place with character in Doylestown. Quinoa Burger - very substantial and heavy but quite delicious. The burger was freshly made and falling apart (usually a sign of a good veggie burger IMO) and the cheese was perfect. I was a huge fan of the sriracha aioli, it was the perfect amount of spice. The fries were also nice and crunchy. Mozzarella Pesto Sandwich - TONS of fresh mozzarella and I was a huge fan of the pesto/olive oil. The sandwich was also very filling. I just wish the roll was a tiny bit softer. Plum dessert (I think it was a piece of pie) - delicious delicious delicious. The whipped cream was so fresh and airy. read more

It's funny how things fall into place sometimes and you end up where you didn't initially intend due to other circumstances; when that happens, more often than not you are pleasantly surprised. After stopping in at two other local establishments for breakfast and the wait was too long for our schedule that day, I remembered this place was in town and we hadn't tried it yet. I'll admit, the bright orange awning most certainly helped put this place in the back of my mind! We were sat shortly after walking in and I immediately noticed the very calm and relaxed environment they created. Even though our presence ended up filling the front room with all the other patrons, it was still a very reasonable volume. Our server was very kind and took care of us well, sharing the specials and offering complementary flat or sparkling water. I decided to order the egg scramble with pancetta, spinach and parm with the multigrain toast and home fries. My girlfriend had two eggs over easy with toast and home fries and a side of sausage. Everything was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Fresh ingredients and I must say I really liked that they shared where they get their produce and meats from on a chalkboard when you walk in. It was all just really good food and a nice experience. We also met the owner, Genevieve and let her know how pleased we were and that we would most certainly be back again. The entire staff was friendly, not too attentive but just the right amount. Ok, I've got to tell you that last Tuesday I had lunch with a friend at Genevieves and it was fabulous. I saw Genevieve (who was happy to stop to talk to us) we had crostini and finished with baby beet citrus salad. Yum. And yum. The crostini was made with wild mushrooms, whipped roasted garlic ricotta, fresh thyme & truffle oil. Baby beets, ruby red grapefruit and mezze greens from blue moon acres with feta cheese & incredible marcona almonds. I love that genevieve is so passionate about partnering with local companies. It takes an hour for us to get to Genevieve's and it's worth every mile! A must visit!!!! Can't wait to see the new menu they told us about. read more

Well if Saint Genevieve ever needed to have a meal she would do well to sit at her namesake kitchen. Geneviève, yes there is actually a Geneviève and she is the chef and she is just brilliant in her menu selection, ambience, demeanor, she came over to our table to welcome us, and most importantly her food is indeed from the heavens thank you for a lovely afternoon she changes her menu monthly according to her very smart approach to source locally. Cramped and Loud... With other diners so close and none of the staff in masks it's hard to feel COVID safe here. And if you have the misfortune of a screaming child near your table you can forget about having a conversation. Too bad, because I liked the food.
