I strongly urge you to avoid them. Here's what happened: 1. Late Arrival: They arrived over an hour late for my 2-3pm appointment, showing up after 4pm. I was understanding, but this was the first red flag. 2. Unrealistic Time Estimates: They told me the job would take 10-15 minutes, but it ended up taking over an hour. I don't mind a longer job, but misleading time estimates are unprofessional. 3. Unprofessional Communication: They left their Bluetooth car scanner in my vehicle and called me multiple times around 11 PM to retrieve it. I initially missed the calls (my phone was on Do Not Disturb), and when I saw their messages, they had a disrespectful tone--blaming me for their mistake because I had supposedly "rushed" them. (For the record, I only asked twice how much time was left, after they exceeded their own estimate.) 4. The Worst Part - Dangerous Negligence: Two days after the service, while driving on the freeway to Snoqualmie, my car began emitting smoke and a terrible smell. Upon checking, I discovered they had forgotten to put the engine oil cap back on. Oil had spilled everywhere, and my car became undrivable. Roadside assistance had to tow it to a service center, where I was informed that overheating had damaged a sensor. 5. Dishonest and Unreliable: I contacted them to explain what happened and requested reimbursement for the costs incurred due to their negligence ($1,036 total: $150 service refund, $194 for roadside assistance, and $692 for repairs). They initially agreed to pay by 3/1, then postponed to 3/6, claiming they needed to investigate a negative review (which wasn't mine--I even provided proof). Now, they've ghosted me since 3/5, despite reading my messages on Yelp. Bottom Line: Their negligence could have resulted in a serious accident, and their refusal to take responsibility speaks volumes. I wouldn't trust them with any vehicle. Save yourself the headache and avoid Jafars Mobile Mechanics.

He had to do a couple of modifications to the new alternators mounting brackets and plastic coupling attachment for a wiring plug. He was great at the modifications and assured me they would not affect the performance of the new alternator. He put everything back perfectly that he had unplugged or unbolted, the only thing that went wrong was the little handle for my oil dipstick broke off while he was trying to get around in the right engine bay of my Acura, he told me what had happened, took responsibility for it and is getting me a replacement dipstick free of charge. I will definitely be using his services in the future. His prices are beyond reasonable and charged way less than any dealership or roadside service shop would. Great value for my hard earned money. I recommend him hands down.

If they are this incompetent at just cleaning cars, imagine what may happen if you trust them to actually fix your car. The building is a literal shack on the side of the street with a gravel "parking lot" full of broken down and abandoned looking vehicles. No sign...banner...or anything indicating it's an actual business. I dropped my car off here for the overpriced and overrated car wash they call a "complete" detailing service at 10:40 AM...they did not bring my car back until 10:00 PM and had the nerve to ask me how it looks as if I can see much of anything when it's pitch black at night. Pulling it into my parking garage though...I saw that my windshield still had wiper streaks on it. Skylar, the presumed owner, gave me an original estimate of 7:00 PM which was still a ridiculous amount of time, but I agreed as I really wanted my car detailed. But I should've known once he begged me not to purchase the Groupon as they would take 40% of the revenue then tried charging me almost $30 more than the Groupon's listed price when I dropped my car off that this was a business I should've avoided. $6 card fees in 2021? Don't take credit/debit cards if you can't afford the transaction fees...or literally keep it simple like a proper business and fold them into your prices. Arguing with a paying customer over $6 is extremely off-putting, my friend who I was on the phone with at the time was embarrassed for me and was shocked at Skylar's attitude and insistence. Convincing Liars who turned a 4300 Transmisison Repair into a 10K nightmare…read more My transmission has intermittently not gone into 4th gear for years. Stopping and using the transmission control reset sequence worked to correct this until last summer so we took the Rialta to the mechanic at the top of the road who stated that we needed a new transmission. I looked for transmission rebuild shops and Dave's Transmission Warehouse quoted $3500 including a 3-year or 36,000 mile warranty. I took the vehicle in to have the transmission rebuilt in April. I told him I needed it no later than the end of June for a planned trip. After working on the transmission for several weeks, Dave stated that there was nothing wrong with the transmission, but something external. He said I was not allowed to drive the vehicle in 4th gear (above 40 mph), and that he would not honor the warranty until the external issues were corrected. On 5/3/18, I took the Rialta to Yire Automotive all under 40 mph, you can see the charge for 613.48. They corrected a wire that had been smashed when inserted into the transmission and that cleared all of the diagnosis except one which they stated was an internal transmission error. I took the Rialta back to Dave (all under 40 mph) who worked on it more, and stated that the internal transmission error was not internal. He said it was likely a wire harness issue or some other electrical problem. On 5/30, I took the Rialta to West Seattle Autoworks all under 40 mph. They inspected the vehicle and could find no external issues. They recommended taking it to KC Martin Transmission as they stated that the issue was in the transmission and they could not lift the RV. Since I could not drive it over 40 mph, I called AAA to have it towed to KC Martin Transmission. 6/29/18 KC Martin Transmission stated it was an internal issue as well and recommended taking it to the dealer for confirmation- 318.78. Campbell VW of Edmonds ran tests confirming beyond a shadow of doubt that it was an internal issue. I called Dave's Transmission Warehouse on 7/17 stating that multiple mechanics had stated it was internal. Aaron, the employee, said they would rebuild it again, but if it still had errors, they would want me to pay again. I found this unacceptable, as I have now spent over $1000 proving it was their issue (internal) since Yire fixed the electrical codes. Additionally, I had to rent an RV and a rental house since my RV was not fixed in time for summer plans. I no longer trust their work or their word. On 7/19/18, I was charged 738.29 for the additional diagnostic work, and called AAA to have the Rialta towed to Seatac Transmission who had to rebuild the transmission all over again confirming it was never done properly in the first place. My credit card company contacted them for a refund and they refused. They seem nice enough at first, but their work is shoddy and their warranty useless.

With that…read moresaid, the reason I didn't pay for a new/rebuilt/used transmission was because Dave--the owner of DTW Transmission--counseled me against it. Yes, you read that right... Even though my car needed a new transmission, Dave turned away the business because he didn't believe the car would run much longer, and only be a source of heartache and continued spending. His advice: rid myself of the car and look for a different vehicle, which is exactly what I'm going to do. In sum, Dave is a knowledgeable, honest, clear, and thoughtful mechanic and person. Heck, after initially dropping my car off at DTW, Dave gave me a ride home. The guy is professional AND nice. If my next car has transmission issues, I'll definitely take it to Dave and DTW Transmission, and you should too!

He recognized that the inflated pricing for the "recommended services" and the attempt to charge me for the oil pressure light scenario were unacceptable and due to poor managing practices preceding his takeover. While I cannot absolutely ensure that Jeff's service will be different, Ken's apology and explanations were genuine and thoughtful. He spontaneously offered to make himself available to help with any car-related trouble/need I might encounter in the future. I encourage new customers to speak to Ken.
