He got back to me the very next day with what I was looking for. Ever the skeptic, I ran his proposal and the invoice through ChatGPT and asked if I'd gotten a reasonable deal. ChatGPT answered, "FINAL VERDICT: This is a fair, clean, and pretty good deal. You could spend weeks calling dealers and possibly not do better. You're not being overcharged. The numbers match reality. And the transparency is excellent." So who was I to argue? I told Grant to go ahead with the purchase and he told me the car could be delivered the next day. I was informed about the ETA of delivery and given a more precise ETA as they had more info (the car was coming from Riverside and I'm in Bonita). Grant had me sign the paperwork and explained what I was signing when questions arose. I gave him the check and then we went out, sat in the SUV and he explained all the new features. He set up the Apple CarPlay and paired my garage door opener so that I no longer had to use the remote. When I no longer had questions about the Palisade he graciously moved my very heavy dog crates to the new car! Above and beyond! This is the best car buying experience I've had in my 71 years and I will be recommending Branco Motors to anyone in the market for a new car.

Unfortunately, I was left feeling misled by the sales team. The Kia Temecula website lists the price of an EV9 Wind at $55,250 (which included a $10k rebate) and on the same page, lists a Combo APR Offer of 0% for 60 months (see attached image). I did not see this offer listed anywhere on other local KIA dealerships, which I why I scheduled an appointment with Kia Temecula. Even though I made an appointment and communicated which vehicle I wanted to see, my car was not ready upon arrival. Noel, a salesperson, had to go pick up the car from another lot and it arrived dirty. When it came to talk finance, the sales manager claimed (I never met this person - only communicated through Noel) that I could not receive both the $10k rebate and the APR 0% offer. They could not be combined. I showed Noel what was posted on Kia Temecula's website, and he reiterated that the offers could not be combined and claimed this was direct from KIA corporate. I was provided with a chart of different APRs and rebates, none of which were the offer posted on the website. I see now why KIA Temecula was the only KIA dealer in Southern California to post the rebate in conjunction with the 0% APR for 60 months - it wasn't something KIA Corporate would back. Thankfully the SB 766 CARS Act goes into effect on Oct. 1, 2026 which requires total price transparency in advertisements and conversations with the customer. It will be illegal for KIA Temecula to post misleading advertisements such as this going forward.

I go to their location in person to find out what the heck happened and they say because it wasn't signed properly despite the bank having said it was signed properly based on how the check was written. Then they say they're going to call me to update me on reissuing me a check and no one calls me. I had to call today to find out what is happening. They say they got an email response from their home office that they reissued the check yet again the same way and sent it out today, but now I gotta wait another 4 days just to receive the check!!! This is ridiculous!!!! I paid cash in person and shouldn't have to wait! And worst part is the people from the business office and their attitude as if you're bothering them. No apology no nothing. Just attitude.
