    Really weird experience and will never come back here…read more Right when we got there, the sales guys were speeding around in a golf cart yelling at each other about taking someone's customer outside of their rotation order. Walking up, there were maybe 6 or 7 of them standing in a group trying to figure out who would help us, and nobody even said hello. Someone finally came over, we gave our whole spiel, but another sales guy walked up interrupting mid-conversation to poach us. Their exchange right in front of us was passive aggressive about commission and rotation order which was a huge turnoff. The original guy disappeared without a word, so we had to repeat everything all over again. The second guy was condescending about what we were looking for, an older used car under $15k. I said "under $15k" before saying "older" and he scoffed and said "well for $15k yeah, it would have to be older," like I was an idiot. Then he launched into a lecture about how dealerships would never carry something like that, so we left. We had literally just test driven a super clean 2013 used car for $8k at Mazda down the street. I definitely wouldn't come back here knowing their team talks to customers like that. A complete circus from start to finish. Too many sales guys on one shift foaming at the mouth to poach customers and saying whatever they can to strip your confidence and make you pay more. Plenty of other car places around to take your business!

    One word. Tanner…read more(service advisor). He legit has changed my mind about Lexus. I've had horrible service over the years from Escondido and San Diego. I was going to get rid of my (paid off) car and get into a non Lexus lease because I was getting frustrated and annoyed with service advisors. The Carlsbad location is a further drive and the center seems older. But I can tell you it was WORTH IT because of Tanner. He was upfront, honest, and knowledgeable when I first spoke to him. I needed brake pads and possible new rotors. I just trusted him when he said to first pay for the brake diagnostic (I think it was like $59.95?) and they'll know exactly the issue to see exactly what needs to be done. The fee will go directly towards any service and it wasn't a loss as I knew for sure my brake pads were worn badly. The loaner department was also quick and efficient (I think the guy's name was David?). He got me their newer 2025 RX to the loaner and I totally understand why they give Lexus loaners as I emailed tanner to say hey wait don't do the service as I may just trade in the car (kinda half joking here). But I know which car I'll be getting in the next two years now. The brake service was PERFECT. I didn't need new rotors (yes!!) but was super close to it (as i expected). I also decided to get a full interior/exterior detail for the car (haven't had it since owning it so it was much needed). I am back today for the alignment (got the wheels at Costco few min away as their 4 tire special beat Lexus). Hopefully alignment went well but I wouldn't expect anything less at this point with Tanner and his team here. Thank you Carlsbad Lex!

The Lexus dealership estimated the repair cost at $9,388.62. Lexus declined to provide assistance with the repair. I am posting this to document the issue for other owners. UPDATE (March 2026): After the business responded publicly saying they wanted to look further into this matter, I reached out directly to the contact they provided. I did not receive any response or follow-up. Just sharing this for transparency.

Anyways, I arrived and told them I scheduled a service but I am like 25 minutes late. The guy said, it would take about 1hr 20 mins, probably sooner because nobody was doing any service at the time. 1] Took about an hour 2] Friendly guy at the front-desk 3] I stayed in the waiting area, doing work, so time went by fast. I described it in great detail and told him about all issues (included several dents). He offered $10K but I knew the trade-in value was closer to $13K or $14K. I told him I would take $11K for a quick and easy transaction and he agreed. He said he did not need to see the vehicle based on my disclosures and that I could just bring it when I was coming the next day to pick up the new truck. When I came the next day, I was told that the used car guy was off but I should leave the old truck and could I come back on Tuesday with the title and to get my check for $11K. When I came on Tuesday afternoon, the games began. I was told the dents were bigger than they thought and they could only give me $10K. I argued that a deal was a deal and that I needed $11K. They went up to $10.5K and then even up to $10.7K but would not honor the deal for $11K. I told them at that point (after wasting another 1+ hours of my time) that it was not even about the money, it was about principle. I took the truck home and sold it the next morning to an independent dealer for $12.6K. The point of this review is a warning to others that in my opinion and based on my experience, the used car dept of this dealership is not reputable and if you attempt to sell them a car be very careful.

After…read moreseveral weeks of searching and trying to work with other dealerships we are so grateful to have contacted this Mazda location. It was a bit of a drive for us but well worth it! My husband called in the AM to inquire about the vehicle and we were driving off the lot a few hours later. Austin was our salesman who helped us over the phone before driving all the way in. When we arrived Austin had the car ready, and numbers prepared just as he and my husband had discussed earlier that day. No gimmicks or extra sales pitches. We sealed the deal within 45 minutes and before driving away, he made sure to our gas tank filled which was nearly on empty and had the car detailed (other dealerships were only offering us a $6 express car wash next door!) so this was really appreciated. After going through a few unpleasant experiences at other dealerships, we left feeling confident that we made the right decision with this Mazda dealership. Working with finance was a breeze too. Though they offer you more and it may sound appealing it wasn't in our plans to purchase an extended warranty. Yoni was respectful of that and didn't push anything on us that we didn't want. Highly recommend them if you're looking into purchasing with Mazda. Thank you all so much for helping us through this process!

She shared that the tech who was assigned to my vehicle had already left for the day. The only details Adriana has was that GM had approved one of the two requests for repair. She had no specifics as to which part nor a timeline. She then said she would follow up with me the very next day when the tech returned. She never did that Friday. I made another request for an update on Saturday and another on Monday, no update. I reached out a third time as it's now Tuesday, five days later. I was able to finally reach Adriana. Only to find out one part did arrive and she still couldn't tell me which part. Adriana let me know she would get back to me with an update and a timeline but never did. How is the place in business?! I finally received a completion text. I still have no idea what correction was performed. I also had no means of getting back to the dealer. I then learn the text sent was an error. LOL! No alternative transportation was offered until 13 days in. How do people survive without a vehicle for 13 days? I was never able to break away to retrieve a rental when it was finally made available due to my schedule and rental vehicle availability. I'm told my vehicle will be done on Thursday so I'll wait it out. Three days later, no update. Friday, no update. The weekend goes by, no update. I even left a message with reception for someone in service to call me, no update. PCC service has now had my vehicle for 20 full days. I get ahold of Adriana on day 20. She informs they haven't even started working on my car. WHAT??!! They've done NOTHING but confirm the interior parts are defective, order and receive parts. Due to weather and their own process of working on cars in a queue, they haven't started. I told them to send me a ride share. I'm coming in to pick up my car. I never received a text or call with any information that wasn't first initiated by me the entire 20 days my vehicle was in service. I even made three attempts to reach the service manager Summer. One voicemail, one note to be handed directly to her and another call. No follow up! I haven't yet mentioned that I opened a case with GM beforehand. I was told by GM EV concierge they were unable to receive any update over the 20 days my vehicle was at PCC. Let that sink in GM couldn't reach anyone at their own authorized service center for 20 days. What an absolute embarrassment. I suggest you look elsewhere when in need of service or repair. The incompetence at PCC is rampant throughout all levels of the Service Center.
