Went here for a birthday on a Saturday afternoon and we were served by the male bartender with shoulder length blond hair. (just fyi im not only rating it 1 star just because the service was bad, but the drinks weren't great either). I asked if there were any birthday specials since we were celebrating a birthday and the answer we got was "Yeah, buy some drinks". The birthday person and I were kind of irked by that answer. Idk about anyone else but at least for me, it takes some courage for me to ask for things like that because I don't like asking for perks like "free things", but because I was celebrating someone's special day, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. His answer and tone had no sympathy and just shut me down, without any acknowledgement to the birthday person. I completely understand if you don't have any birthday specials, but there are much better customer service friendly ways to answer. It's a shame because I have walked thru chop house row many times and thought this place looked like a fun place to hang, but I was super let down. read more

Gemini Room is a great spot for drinks in Capitol Hill, beautifully decorated with delicious and unique cocktails. We walked in early on a Saturday night and snagged three seats at the bar. We tried a bunch of drinks and my favorites were the Midnight Sun (pineapple, OJ, coconut cream, pea flower rum), Daybreak (blue curacao, OJ, lemon, simple syrup, orange marmalade, empress gin) and Ube Moon (cold brew, Borhgetti, vodka, ube cream). New fav vibey spot for anything coffee to cocktail in caphill! I love the concept of the space: it holds and transitions from cafe to bar, and is pretty much open all day. Menu also has food you'd expect to find in a cafe in the day, and bar bites in the evenings. I ordered the ube orange cream soda (pictured) as recommended by my bartender -- it was well made and each flavor came through; it isn't necessarily my kind of drink however. My friends ordered the gemini season cocktail and the coconut butterfly pea latte; these were both fantastic in taste and visuals. Really good cocktails! I even got a tequila cocktail (Golden Hour) which normally wouldn't be my go-to liquor but it lived up to how good it looked on paper. We went around happy hour (before dark) and the vibe/smell of the space was a bit more of a coffee shop, which they are by day, but I can see it becoming more loungey after dark. It's really cute, but the staff seemed irritable. They were hostile, rude & unwelcoming. Even though it was basically empty, there was a long period of waiting to be acknowledged and seated. The guy who seated us said we could use 4 cards to pay ( I was with 4 friends and not everyone was drinking) so we went up to put our orders in and the server (blonde woman) was annoyed I wanted to buy just my drink and close out. I told her that we were told it would be fine to use 4 cards and she went to ask the guy, after she returned she was rude! Like we get there are policies but don't tell us one thing then get upset + you don't have to be so hostile?? Like we are just trying to have a drink at a cute spot.. and a drink we have to order at a bar to receive since there isn't table service at that.. Since the vibes were off we just got the one drink and left quickly. The drinks were so so - you can easily get a better one at surrounding bars. Before leaving I spoke with someone who said they were the manger - they were polite but wouldn't tell me the two servers names who I found unwelcoming. I wish I read other reviews before coming here. Again super cute, but not a place I would return to or ever recommend due to the environment the staff create & uphold. read more

A very groovy and funky vibe here in the evening. The lights are low and orange, and the music is good. We were seated quickly at the bar, but had to wait a while for the bartender to ask us what we wanted to drink. They ended up not being able to make their signature drink for us because the cantaloupe purée had gone bad. While that was disappointing they did ask what else they could make for us and didn't charge us anything extra if our new drink cost more. Cocktail prices were around 14-16 dollars. a really fun bar to pre-game at for a girls' night! very cute drinks and i recommend the ube moon as it was a really fun and refreshing twist on an espresso martini. i've been here multiple times and it's so nice to just chill as the environment is very aesthetic and the music playing is very good, great place before hitting the clubs. just beware that wait times can be LONG as well as if you have a party of over 5 or 6 that they only charge one card. service can be a little slow the but the workers are very nice as it's just busy. read more

Very cute and cozy design. It's an intimate space and they don't take reservations so you'll see a couple groups walk around looking for seating. Be prepared to ask others if seats are taken. You'll order from the bartender, not servers so definitely find a seat first. The drinks were pretty good. We ordered the night sun and the daybreak. We also ordered the fries and macaroni bites. The bites were delicious! It comes with about 5 pieces and a marinara sauce with pesto. The fries, I had to take them back. They were ice cold! I had to walk around looking for a server to get a new order which again took forever. We were ready to leave but since we paid in advance, had to now wait for the new fries. When we finally got the new order, they were just okay. A little soft but hot. We were also a little disappointed as we found this place from Nudge so we thought we were getting crinkle fries. Instead, you'll get more of a traditional fry with a lot of seasoning. I mean A LOT. The aioli on the side is nothing special but does the job as a side sauce. Long story short, if you're just looking for a casual lounge for drinks and don't mind slow service, this could be the place for you. Service is slow since you order from the bar and the poor servers wander around trying to look at numbers in a dimly light room with no systems as to where the guests are seated. Love this spot. Drinks were great. Easy to walk in and grab a spot. Vibe is on point. All the decor was perfect too. Felt low key but still upscale. Crushing the drinks, both alcoholic and NA. Amazing vibe and fun place but honestly, the service can be extremely slow as the servers are almost too chatty with every customer. Drinks take as long as a full entre at a restaurant sometimes. Do Not Come Here!!! They say that they are inclusive but they are not!! Came here with my wife and her friends for one of their birthdays. Waited an hour in line before two Caucasians cut us in line and told the security guard that they knew someone to get let in. Since our group of people were all POCs I decided to let the security guard know that what just happened seems racist as there were already seats that could accommodate 8 of us separately. I explained to her prior that we did not care if we were split up and that we just wanted to sit down even if we split our group. After saying our piece they then decide to tell us we can come in. Upon sitting down they told us that we could not make comments saying they are racist as it's not a joke. I then told them none of what I was saying was a joke at all but all they were saying was we are inclusive of gay people. That's great and all but if you treat people of color with blatant disrespect you are not inclusive to all people! Never in my time living here in Seattle have I had worse service than here. Please beware of this place if you are a POC. read more

I havent had a chance to input my review this was late January 2023, but I came on a weekend night with two other friends for a night out. We patiently waited over 15 minutes as we thought we had to wait to be seated. A couple of servers seen us and went to clean a table so we thought we were acknowledged. However, I was Disappointed, they ended up walking the opposite way instead of even letting us know how the place is ran. We live two hours away and specifically came to check this place out as I am a "gemini" I thought it was cool to see a little vintage bar myself. But we never got acknowledged.
