I went in for a pedicure (with an appointment) and didn't have to wait at all. My nail tech was friendly and professional. I was impressed that they offered drinks and they even gave everyone a long stem rose since it was Mother's Day weekend--these are the kind of nice touches that set places a part from the rest. The pedicure itself was high quality and only took 45 minutes. Although the price is slightly higher than the other place, I'm more than happy to pay more for a better experience. Walk into Sola and you will find Trendy Nails down the hall to your right. It's a small studio with two massage chairs for spa pedicures and two desks for manicures. I decided to try a pedicure. There were 3 options: Basic ($35), Deluxe ($50), and Trendy VIP ($75). The Basic is more of an express pedicure whereas the Deluxe includes everything the Basic does as well as a sugar scrub, mineral mask, and hot stones. The jasmine scent was perfect-- not too strong. (There were 3 other scents to choose from one of which I remember for certain was lavender and I think one may have been rose related). Also worth mentioning was that this place felt clean and didn't have a strong chemical smell like some other larger nail salons do-- I was very comfortable as a pregnant lady (smells can be overwhelming at times so I was grateful). The couple who owned the place were very personable (sorry, I forgot their names). They are originally from Vietnam but were able to hold conversations with me in English just fine. Overall, yes, I'd recommend Trendy Nails. Their prices are similar to other nail salons but their smaller studio feels more calm and relaxing. I also liked feeling like I was a special valued customer rather than just another person to process and get through.
