There's never any buffering and no lagging. The customer service is top notch and can't be beat. I'd really recommend this company. The prices are amazing as well. 55 dollars a month for really speedy internet. The only thing is they only cover certain areas. I had lots of questions and ended up calling back a few times. Each time I called I got a real person who knew the system, plan options and installation information. One call was several minutes and I never felt like they wanted me off the phone. When I decided to go with Borealis I was provided a date for the site assessment and I received a call from the technician immediately following the visit confirming the location could receive the signal. I scheduled the install, got a confirmation call, another call 20 minutes before and the technicians were there early to set-up so the work could begin right as scheduled. The installation was efficient and included time to walk me through each step of the process and use of the wifi router. I had immediate service that has been consistent, fast, and for a very reasonable cost. That same afternoon of the install I received a confirmation email with all I needed about my account. It is a pleasure during business with the Borealis Broadband team. I think over the course of my many calls and the installation I talked with 5-6 different people and they were all knowledgeable, helpful, and definitely focused on customer service. I strongly recommend this company.

    Don't use this company they will give you an install quote for a new Starlink for $250.00 and after…read morethey were done it was $1300.00 and still just buffers, on top of that I had already purchased the Starlink myself. Starlink router was installed in my shop just thrown in the courner and the had to install 3 mesh routers. After I called them about they said it would cost me another $600.00-$1200.00 to try and get a better signal. Do not use this company, all they're interested in is making money!

He made sure to keep us informed as to when he would be arriving, which was so convenient. Upon his arrival he was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, respectful, patient, and kind while troubleshooting what was wrong with my connection to the On Demand channels and answering our numerous questions. He's very informed and knew exactly what we needed in order to resolve an issue we have had since July 2022, yep, over two years! Although we had many questions we asked of him, he was able to answer every one of them and speak to us in layman's terms, which is very important! I highly recommend him to assist those who are "up in years" and if I could, I would give him a financial bonus! The only thing he couldn't do for me was help me get my monthly free ticket for a movie with Dish...I will now attempt to call Customer Service, once again, to receive the movie ticket I was unable to use when I tried to order it a week ago. I HAVEN'T HAD ACCESS to any of the movies On Demand for over the last two years!!! I am hoping they can speak English well enough so I can understand them, and they can understand me. I used to love singing GCI's praises when I could actually afford their services, but the price increases, not to mention the weird fees they keep adding to my account and their inability to bill on time, have become so astronomical, I can no longer recommend them. Their customer service makes you run around in circles, if they even know what they're talking about (which isn't often at all), and I literally just had a customer service agent heave a big ol' sigh before saying "thank you for calling GCI..." in the most deadpan and unhelpful tone. Have I been blacklisted? For trying to pay my bills on time??? I literally hate having to interact with GCI in any way now and I'm pretty sure that's not how the client/provider relationship is supposed to work. Their cell service is hit or miss, especially traveling around Alaska, leaving much to be desired. Their WiFi is amazing!!! However, it's so expensive that you'll have to decide between feeding your kids and paying for decently fast internet. I will be warning my friends and family away from GCI unless they can offer a quality of customer service that matches the quality of their products at an ACTUALLY affordable price.

From their customer service and dope 80's music to their clean, neat and friendly facility. Judy was the security at the front door and did a marvelous job. She is a ball of joy. My clerk was Jed. This man is definitely going places. He was patient with my crazy requests and was beyond knowledgable everything he did. I dont usually post yelp reviews when I receive above average or good service, because I expect that. This was excellent service.
