I needed the best battery money could buy for my generac standby generator. The optima ( good battery ) lasted 5 yrs in there. Starting once a month. Capacity dropped. I went to get an odyessy battery but left with an odyessy sister companies battery. We talked desulfinators and I learned more than the internet had taught me. The battery in my Yaris was dead on 3 January, and I'd never been to Batteries Plus Bulbs for a car battery replacement. When I got there, they were SWAMPED! I was thinking that there was no way I was getting in for a battery install, but the staff there were so patient and professional and took care of me with a smile (no lie, they were incredibly helpful and friendly, even through all the chaos!). After all the other people finally thinned out (within 15 min), my car was taken care of (I wish I knew the name of the man who replaced our battery; he was FAST!). I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a new battery for your car, and boy, the lady behind the counter really knew her batteries (she was awesome!). Needed a lithium battery, website says they are in stock and there is a discount if ordered online. Purchase the battery only to get a call later that day that the battery in fact wasn't in stock and would take two weeks to ship. That felt a little deceptive, but I can be patient. Three weeks later still haven't gotten a call or email. I call the shop to inquire when it would arrive only to be told it would be another whole month to get one. The employee I spoke to, Larry, was very helpful and honest. I told him I couldn't wait that long and would probably need a refund and he said he might be able to get one from the Fairbanks store. I have no doubt that he did his part and more so we'll see if the company will actually go out of their way to deliver the battery I already paid for in a reasonable time frame, or if this is just another case of lazy, greedy business owners overcharging for service and underpaying their employees and then complaining that Amazon is hurting their livelihoods. read more

Brought my iPad worth a cracked screen for replacement. Picked it up and the four corners were damaged and the new screen was not attached. Brought it back. Horrible service accused me of being bit in with damaged edges and said the screen would not stay on because of the damage. I was not talked to about any issues when I picked it up. These guys really don't like to honor warranties. They will tell you that you need a heated garage for your vehicle, a battery tenderer, and unspecified amp draw, but at the end of the day, they just don't want to honor the warranty. Yesterday I bought a portable jump box to jump a friends car that needed a jump. When I get there I put it to charge by the garage. His dad tells me he has an actual jump box that connects straight to the wall and starts the car up right away. So today I had plans to return it since I didn't use it and it was around $150. I'm waiting in line and this guy with a different shirt then everyone else starts the conversation with accusing me and giving me attitude. He says "how can I help you", I said "I'm here to return this I didn't use it". He says, "the box is open so you did use it". I said "I charged it but never used it to start a car". And he gave me a bad look Like I was cheating him. Heads to the register and says I" think you used it to start your car and now want to return it." I said "no that's not the story, And don't accuse me of something I didn't do" I said "who are you the manager", he says actually " I'm the owner. I said "wow even worse because this is the worse customer service and you shouldn't treat people like your treating me now." I said "you need to check yourself because that's horrible customer service". After all of that He did not care. I was upset because if you start a business how can the first thing you say to a customer that's going there for the first time be accusations about lying and cheating his company. Let me just say that these guys are great! I was dreading having to send me iPhone to Apple and wait two weeks for a diagnostic so I tried taking my phone here instead. I left my Iphone 6x outside in my car during cold weather. The already weak battery went completely dead and wouldn't hold a charge. I brought it into Batteries Plus and they tested out the phone and replaced the battery and the charging port. I recommend an appointment as it takes about an hour, longer if you drop by when they have other customers. Great service, knowledgeable and friendly staff. read more

I had gone there a year ago and I will not go there again. They had very young and very unknowledgeable, unskilled and unprofessional young kids working for them when I went. I had called on the phone to ask about getting my iPhone6 battery changed out and asked if they had a battery available. They said yes my computer shows that we have them you will have to drop it off and it will take about 45min. I went in, and waited in line there were four at the front; I talked to the one fixing my phone and asked, "you do have the batter for this right?" And they had assured me that it will be ready in 45 min" I told them I will be in my car waiting in the parking lot because I live across town and don't wish to drive home just to drive back. I fell asleep (waiting in the parking lot) in my car and went back to the front desk. Four young kinds stood there staring at me, not a single one motioned they would help me, they stood there staring (very awkward moment), I just started saying ,"I dropped my phone off" come to find out they did not even have the battery and nothing was done. They said sometimes it may say in the computer we have one and sometimes someone forgets to enter that it arrives damaged or something or the stock guy put it somewhere. I was like "well can't someone check?" "Our stock guy left for the day." I asked "why did no one check to make sure you had a battery before I left the door? I have been sitting in your parking lot for an hour waiting for my phone." "We're sorry we don't have anyone here who knows where things are when our stock guys are not here." So over and hour of my time was lost. My phone was still about to explode and nobody knew when they were going to get more of the batteries in stock.?? With there being four or five people there, not a single one of them knew how to find the apparent battery that was in the system or why no one had checked for the location of the battery before I drove across town because I did call and tell them I was on my way. What I love about this place, is you can recycle your batteries for free. That's one thing we need here in Alaska. But what sucks is how far away from my house it is. I suppose that's just me, and everyone else on the north side. The clerks were very helpful, but my only issue is that the laptop battery we went there for, was a generic brand, and apparently our HP battery had some little clip that forces you to buy their specific battery, so Battery Plus is out for us when it comes to buying batteries. The glass screen on my 4 year old iPhone 5 began to delaminate along the left side. Just my luck, right after I brought a new screen protector and it was looking like new. I called first, but also made the appointment online on their site and printed off the savings coupon. I thought for sure I was going to have to have my screen replaced and buy yet another screen protector for the second time in two weeks. I was told replacing a new screen would be a flat rate $89. Took it in and Stephanie behind the counter immediately gave her opinion that it appeared to be the battery? They told me it would be about an hour I gave them two hours when I returned I found out that it was indeed he battery and I did not have to have a new screen and with the savings coupon it was $60 flat rate plus labor. I normally dig this place because they have all the little bulbs and batteries of any sort you can think of. When you can't find it at a big home center, they have it! BUT... I had a very frustrating experience yesterday. I was looking for some replacement miniature Christmas bulbs to replace in our ornaments. I knew EXACTLY what I needed, but didn't bring a bulb in. The associated acted if I was asking for Edison's original light bulb and couldn't even fathom the type of bulb I was talking about. He kind of dismissively said they hadn't sold them in years... really? All I REALLY wanted was WHERE they were and I was willing to search for what I needed myself. The fact they didn't have any didn't get me (neither does ANYONE), but the dismissive attitude like I was looking for some ancient technology really put me off on this place for a while. read more

Every time I cone here i get poor customer services. The guys are rude and especially unhelpful and really don't offer any good advice on how to go about getting what I need. They didn't have the battery size I needed in stock. He said he could order it but wasn't sure if it would fit the phone. ...he didn't offer any options for refunds or returns if it didn't fit. I asked him to show me how to search for the battery online and he said "I just typed all the stuff on the back of the phone. .." and just stood there.....I come here often especially when I am in a pinch and can't order online. When I took my iPhone 7 in for a new screen after it broke earlier this year I did not have a very good experience. Person in front of me was receiving their phone and was told that the proximity sensor was not working. This sensor blacks out the screen when you're on a call so you don't accidentally dial or hit the buttons on screen. He told him they would order a new one and get back to him. I turned in my phone and was told it would be 45 minutes. I waited in my car as I would have to come right back if I went home. An hour and 45 minutes later they finally had it done. They told me the proximity sensor wasn't working and they would order one and call me the next day when it was in. I ended up calling them after two days and found out the sensor was in. I again left the phone with them for over an hour while I waited in the store. Same problem. Proximity sensor not working. They ordered another and replaced it again. Same result. They said they would call their support in the lower 48 and get back to me. Another three days passed and I had to call them again to get anyone. Was told that my phone would have to be sent out to their repair center and then sent back. I was told this was a three day operation. I thought about and agreed after my phone started having serious screen issues. So I gave them my phone. My phone was gone for over a week and they communicated nothing to me. I called and was told nothing about where it was or what was going on. I was eventually told that the phone was irreparable and I would be given a new one. I heard nothing for over a week until I called them. I was then told that I could come get my new phone but that I could not get my original phone back and I wouldn't receive the new one until I agreed to this. The manager refused to budge on this and told me that it is their policy even though there was nothing in the paperwork or on their website that states anything to this effect. I ended up getting a hold of Batteries+ corporate through Facebook and received a call from the manager stating that he had not been aware of the change in policy and I could come get my phones from them. At this point I am at two and a half weeks without my phone. I pick them up and see another person being given back a phone without a working proximity sensor. Also the phone I received was a refurbished phone from Amazon. Stay away from them for any kind of phone repair. The work was less than satisfactory and the customer service was worse. Spend the money and go to Apple. Yeah I got a new phone out of it but the headache, missed calls and emails were not worth it. read more

My phone works better now than it ever did.The store was very busy and they had a lot of people working and doing things to help the multitude of customers. I highly recommend going here, just be patient and they'll do very competent service, I'm sure. I had been told this is the place to go for unusual and not-so-unusual batteries. I attempted to use their website unsuccessfully so I took my portable phones, with the old batteries, to the store. They sold me 'precharged' batteries at a price of $12.99 for four (about double the price of Amazon) - but I need my phone so I wasn't upset about the cost. After putting the batteries in the phones, they show no charge with a warning that the batteries will need 7 hours to charge! I called the store to ask why. The person said he couldn't tell, maybe they were bad batteries, perhaps they sold me the wrong batteries, etc. and suggested I bring them back to the store. I asked again, why if the package said 'precharged' wasn't there a charge? He said, either way, you'll have to bring them back and bring the phones with you. So, I drive all the way across town with the phones, the chargers, the old batteries and the new batteries. The same person who sold them to me, said the batteries come around 30% charged. I show him there isn't any charge. (meaning I can't use the phone) He says he's sorry the package says 'precharged' but they would take 7 hours to charge. I pushed him to check the batteries with whatever tester they had there. He brings out the tester, gets some charge and tells me because the message came up on the phone that is the 'precharge' they are talking about! Seriously? That certainly isn't 30%. With 30% I should be able to make a call. Then he tells me I'll have to charge for 8-10 hours. I challenge that statement, reminding him he had said, just minutes before, 7 hours. If the guy I had spoken with had said the same thing, I could have saved myself another trip across town and all of the aggravation. I'll be buying my batteries elsewhere. They have absolutely the nicest staff, we were excited about making this our newest spot for batteries and tech repairs. Unfortunately, they do not stand behind their work. They repaired an iPad screen for us - the repair was delayed two days, they damaged the bezel (and were unapologetic about it, told us "it happens"), the screen connections to the device had strange gaps, and the screen broke through normal use in just a couple weeks. When I went in to ask them to make it right, they refused. They lost our business and they don't deserve yours. read more

Hell NOT, They said they can make copies of car keys, paid for the keys last week and went in last night for them to program the keys, I even called ahead of time before driving to Anchorage to make sure they would be open and have someone working that knew how to program these keys. They assured me they did. After 1 and 1/2 hours in the store a worker and the Manager Alex had no clue what they were doing. Not ready for a customer as laptop used to program keys was discharged, they discharged my car battery trying different things, rolled down my drivers window that does not work properly, changed the seat situation, opened the battery covers and were not going to put the cover back on until I suggested they do just that, and even worse at 60 years old suggested to them that it sure would be nice for have a chair to sit on, was completely ignored. Then when asked for a refund they pretended that my credit card would not take a refund???? Maybe they should put in the right card number, they got it right the first time when they took the money. Never had been there before and will NEVER go back. Just a heads up. They also claim the dealership charges 4 times more and found that it is not even double and I would maybe have a key by now. Think they should at least pAy for the gas since I called right before heading in and they said they knew how to do it on Fords. read more
