I never write reviews on Yelp, but I am just so thrilled with the level of service that I feel compelled to write my first review. I contacted Golan for help with our security camera system on July 4 (a holiday!), and he came by today, July 5, and had everything up and running in less than two hours. We had numerous issues with the system setup and getting things working on an iPhone, Android, iPad, a Mac, and a PC. The company who initially installed everything for us was not helpful at all in troubleshooting our issues, so I am so happy to have found Golan on Yelp. First you should know that it takes a lot for me to write a review. I do not post these lightly. If you need ANY type of wi-fi, security or low voltage work Golan is your guy. I went from a landline to a VOIP system. What should have been a simple plug and play transition turned into a nightmare. Phones did not work and they would not work with my gate opener. I found Golan here on Yelp and thank goodness I did. He stayed with it until everything was fixed and running, he offered multiple ideas and solutions. We had Gbit Tech help us set up ethernet wiring throughout our house as well as doing a professional install of our TV and sound system. Golan was excellent every step of the way. When he came to give us a quote, he was on time and very thorough. He explained his thought process and provided all the details of his plan. My building cameras had been having problems for over a year but I hadn't been able to find someone that would return my calls let alone actually show up. One Sunday, I was fed up & contacted at least 5 different tech companies, either online or left a vm. I contacted Gbit Tech online and hoped for a call sometime in the next week. To my surprise, Golan contacted me about 20 minutes after sending the request on a SUNDAY! I was happily surprised & made an appt right then and there. He came out and talked with me on site, looked at a few things & said he would send me an estimate. Again, I thought in another 2 weeks but NO.... it was within 24-36 hours! His estimate was for a worst case scenario which I appreciated tremendously. We set a date but I had to cancel due to Covid & he was so understanding. We set another date, he showed up AND on time! Fixed BOTH systems, and I am so very happy. One system might still have an issue but he made a suggestion to try something that was cheaper than a new receiver. We may STILL need a new receiver, but I know that Golan will be there for us to take care of it if need be! Golan was wonderful to work with - knowledgeable, articulate & able to explain issues in terms I could understand in order to make whatever decisions were needed. I highly recommend GBit and Golan. GBit Tech was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I wanted to install surveillance cameras at my house; however, I wanted a high end system with great quality video, the ability to download video files directly to my phone or computer that I needed to keep for later, and I did not want to pay any monthly fees for cloud storage. I interviewed a few companies before contacting GBit Tech. I first met Golan when he came to my house for an inspection and estimate. Golan was on time, very personable, answered all of my questions, and never tried to steer me toward any particular product or brand name. He is very knowledgeable in his field. He asked me what type of system I was looking for and then gave me several options to think about. I eventually went with the Unfi Protect System. Golan was very good with communication throughout the project. He was upfront with the costs and very clear with the breakdown of these costs - everything was in writing. On the day of installation, Golan and Jose were on time and ready to go to work. I was very comfortable with the entire installation process because Golan consulted with me throughout the course of it. He did not drill any holes until he knew exactly where I wanted everything to go. Installation was very neat and clean. Golan involved me in the equipment setup process because he wanted me to learn how to operate the cameras, the related phone app and the cloud interface on my computer. It has now been 3 weeks since installation and everything works just fine. I have learned how to use the system and I am extremely happy with it.
