These guys are great. I had an issue with my cooling unit on the roof air con unit of our condo in Walnut Creek. I called Boris who was in San Jose on a job. Within two hours he was on the roof with a report on it's condition, pictures, and soon after the office sent me a quote. He didn't try to upsell me or pressure me. A true gentleman. A week later they had the new unit up (two stories) and working. The price was excellent as was the crew that installed it. Can't recommend them highly enough. read more

GB Heating & Air Conditioning - New unit installed, old unit lowered down and taken away. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Pacheco, California

Our AC kept tripping the breaker every time it kicked on. With the heat wave and summer around the corner, we were concerned that we need to replace the whole unit. Boris came out the same day and figured it out fast. He even went to get the part himself to fix our ac unit the same day. Highly recommend! read more

I had an issue with my furnace shutting off after a few minutes. I called on a Friday afternoon, and Boris sent a technician out within a few hours. The technician was very knowledgeable and professional--he explained the unit to me as he troubleshot the problem and quickly identified a faulty limit switch. Although he didn't have the part on hand, he made a temporary fix so we could use the furnace overnight. Boris ordered the part and was back the next morning to complete the repair. I highly recommend GB Heating & Air Conditioning. Their pricing is very reasonable, and their customer service is unbeatable. read more

I highly recommend this business. They were a 10/10 for me. Everyone from scheduling to the service technicians were friendly and helpful. I called them to request HVAC duct cleaning then after I scheduled, called back to add my dryer vent. Their pricing was better than the other business that I called and when he explained the service they would provide I just felt better about trying GB. Scheduling was easy. The technicians called 15 minutes before they arrived and were actually early. How often does that ever happen? My ducts and dryer vent had not been cleaned in forever and were really dirty. It took them a couple of hours and they did a great job. My home smells fresher and I could not be happier with the service they provided. read more

My furnace went out so I was thinking of replacing it (it was pretty old). Boris came out to take a look at it and gave me quotes (one to repair and one to replace) that beat the others by quite a bit. He came out a couple days later to replace the control board, and in less than 30 minutes, the furnace was working again like a charm. Absolutely recommended. read more

100 degree day and our AC broke down. I called and they couldn't come out until the next day. Then about an hour later they called back and said they could come right over because it was so hot. They fixed the unit it in about 10mins. Boris and his team are great! Charged me for something i did not need. a loud banging was heard. first he said it was the ductwork. then, oops... let's replace the blower motor. Noise didn't stop. I would recommend you be careful with the company. all 5 star reviews?? they take down any negative reviews. i posted this review yesterday and they took it down. shady. read more

Boris and his crew had installed our new HVAC unit and ductwork in 2018, and it has worked fine since. We though it would be prudent to have it checked over now, since very hot weather is expected. I called for service, expecting a long wait, but the wait was only a couple of days. Nemanya came out and did a superb job servicing the entire system. He checked the condenser and changed out the capacitor, tested the pressure, checked the temp at the registers, and even went under the house to check on the ductwork. A very polite and knowledgeable young man. And all for a reasonable price. I would recommend GB Heating & AC to anyone. read more

I wish everyone we did business with was this good. Boris and his crew do a terrific job. Their prices are fair, their service is excellent. Even their follow-up service is outstanding. When I was sick in the hospital they sent over a guy to change the filter at no charge. Last Saturday the A/C went out. They contacted me Monday morning and had a guy over Monday afternoon to work on it. You can't beat that kind of service. read more

Boris is an angel in disguise. after another company told me my HVAC could not be repaired and I would also have to replace the AC unit as it wouldn't be compatible and quoted me between $20-30k for a new unit I was lucky to get a recommendation for Boris at GB Heating. He came with a positive attitude and reassurance and within minutes found the problem and the very next morning at 7:30 am already managed to source the part and replace it. Turning on the heat after days of freezing in our home was amazing. Not the mention the feeling of saving such a huge amount of money. It is a relief to find an honest person this day and age! I couldn't be happier recommending this company. read more

Great people, great service and competent repair at a fair price. I would highly recommend Boris and his co-workers to solve any air conditioning and heating problem you might encounter. They have so many great reviews, I feel like this is understatement. read more

Boris, the owner of the business was very professional. He responded to our request for an estimation of installing 4 new vents promptly. He arrived to the appointment 30 minutes early which is something that's very difficult for contractors to abide by. Anyways, he gave us a very reasonable price. We are very happy with his professionalism. I recommend Boris for your HVAC needs! Plus 5 brownie points for being a super nice guy too! read more

Boris saved the day last Friday when it was over 100 degrees and my air conditioning stopped working. I called him in a panic and he arrived 2 hours later, my air conditioner was fixed with a temporary part within 20 minutes and it got us through the weekend. He came back Monday night at 7:45 pm with a new part, this is a hard working man! Highly recommend! read more

I have a rental in Berkeley. Tenant complained of ineffective heating by the Mini-split heat pump that I had installed by others. I also had two other units that I had installed in new construction but needed activation. I called many contractors, but most were very "exquisite" in terms of acommodating my needs (we only do this this way, we can be there to size up the job between 8:00am and noon, etc). Boris (the owner) went to the site and showed my tenant how to maintain unit (clean the filters regularly). Tenant was very happy and complimented Boris. He gave me a competitive cost proposal for the other work. Boris sent out two techs to activate the other units. They were in and out in 4 hours. Very professional and easy to work with. Boris is a very nice man, flexible in terms of business arrangements and responsive. Exactly what one would expect (but rarely gets) from a contractor. I couldn't be happier. He gets all my business going forward. read more

Hired this company to install a new AC unit in my condo a few weeks ago. Extremely friendly group of men & highly knowledgeable! The price was more than fair! They even came back today to install a new thermostat, free of charge which I greatly appreciated!! Highly recommend!! read more

In this day and age of high energy costs and hard to get good customer service, a company like GB is a MUST HAVE in your network of contractors. Epic customer service, product installation reasonable, timely and the whole experience was excellent for our new furnace and AC. The old equipment removed, new installed, permits done and signed off, but knowing we have a HVAC to count on is priceless. Maya in the office was consistently awesome and organized, and Boris and his team are the best! THANK YOU Boris & team and Maya -- You have our highest recommendations! read more

I just LOVE Boris! He fixed our furnace a few years ago and once again he has come to our rescue! As we go into the summer, one of our air conditioning units stopped working and I was worried about having anyone come into our home during the Covid pandemic. Boris showed up wearing a mask and communicated with me through text while he worked outside on the unit. He fixed the problem promptly and from a distance sent me a wave goodbye. I couldn't ask for anyone better during this time. I totally trust him. read more

I live in Rossmoor and my furnace finally gave out after 37 years this past January. Boris at GB Heating & AC has been checking my heating and AC for the past several years, keeping everything going great, but replacing it was inevitable. I was really concerned about the price, but ended up paying just $5k for the full install, City permits and old furnace removal which took about 3 hours. Besides the fact that the price was incredibly affordable, the GB crew was prompt, courteous and professional. These guys are really the best - thank you Boris and team! read more

Boris is excellent! Our a/c wasn't working during the hottest week (so far) in September, and even though it was short notice, Boris fit us in. Both he and his assistant Maya were professional and responsive with every communication. Boris even called the morning of the appointment to give us an ETA and arrived when he said he would (!!) He is friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient and identified the source of the problem quickly. The capacitor needed replacing. He had one with him and installed it right away. He also found there were leaks in the vents and is coming back next week with his team to take care of those. He checked the house and gave us several tips on how to get the best energy-saving performance out of the a/c. We are giving him a GLOWING recommendation! Marianna S. Orinda read more

I was referred to Boris by a part manufacturer who doesn't sell directly to the public. Boris is on their list as one of their service providers. From the moment I explained that I needed him to order a part and install it he did not want to help me. He told me he doesn't want to work on my equipment and kept repeating that he doesn't order equipment, he installs it. I explained that I did want him to install it, but that he would need to order it as it is a custom part and he is listed by manufacturer as a dealer/installer of this particular ac equipment. After a couple minutes Boris simply hung up on me. I couldn't believe he could be so rude when I was being so polite. He really struck me as a guy who is not into his customers at all. It's too bad because if this part is unavailable (something he didn't even bother to find out) I'll end up needing an entire ac/heating replacement unit, which could have made him thousands of dollars. Now he just ends up with a bad review. read more

Boris was super knowledgeable, professional, and helpful! He responded quickly (during a heat wave, no less) to repair my air conditioner. He went above and beyond to explain everything to me, and fixed and labeled a few extra things while he was there! Boris presented with excellent customer service, his crew were friendly, outgoing and clean! Email, text or phone - it was very easy to get a hold of him and speak live to the actual person doing our work. He answered all questions thoroughly; proves his 18 years experience in this field! He completed the work within the time frame he provided and left us feeling very happy to have chosen him to do our work. Boris reminded us to keep his phone number on hand in case anything happens and he'd need to come quickly to fix/diagnose any issues. He's a good man and runs a quality company. Gook luck! read more

Excellent ... there should be a category above 5 stars for this guy. He squeezed us into his already busy day because my 100-year-old dad doesn't handle heat well and our air conditioner was on the blink. I figured it needed to be recharged or worse. Boris diagnosed it quickly as a thermostat problem ... fixed it ... and was ready to go in 30 minutes. Very reasonable fee. No big dog and pony show to make it look serious and pad the bill that some providers do. This guy answers his own phone! How cool is that? Boris is an honest, skilled and knowledgeable technician. We will be keeping his number for next time. read more

Excellent from start to finish. Maya in the office listened carefully to the issue, arranged exactly what was needed, kept me informed of progress and confirmed the appointment the day before. Boris confirmed 30 minutes before arrival and was exactly on time. He worked quickly and efficiently. Solved the problem with our heating system and restored heat to the house all in under 1 hour. A previous contractor mis-diagnosed the issue, indicated they couldnt fix it and left, luckily Boris saved the day. GB Heating and AC now have my fullest confidence and will be my go to company from now on. Michael Spink read more

Responsive, fast and reasonably priced. Quickly diagnosed issues and got my AC up and running. Saved us in heat wave!

We hired GB to install a pretty basic new wall heater. Our old one was in bad shape and really noisy and unreliable. A wall heater isn't the most exciting thing to spend money on but we are super happy we did because it works so much more efficiently and is very quiet. Very good investment and they did a great job and they did it fast. We had one issue with the pilot going out in which we had to call them and come fix it. They came the next day and fixed and it's working fine now. Very happy with their service. read more

Boris is a miracle worker and an incredibly fair man. We've used him four times over the past three years (twice for our home and twice for my elderly mother-in-law's home) and have been incredibly impressed by his service. The first time we called him was three years ago for a second opinion on my mother-in-law's furnace, which had stopped working. The first company we called said the unit was unfixable and needed to be replaced (~$4000). We called GB for a second opinion. After an assessment, Boris determined the circuit panel needed to be replaced (~$500). An hour later it was working just fine. The second time was for our AC. We thought we also might have a blown circuit panel. Instead, Boris discovered that we had clogged air filters (our fault!) which was tripping a fuse. Easy & inexpensive fix! We had to call again this week for my MIL's unit and feared this time it might be time to replace. Once again, he was able to replace an old dusty part and clean up the inside and it's working again and she's warm and toasty! He responds very quickly, is clearly trying to solve issues in the most cost-effective way possible, and he's also a super nice guy! HIGHLY recommend GB/Boris for heating and AC issues. read more

Like other 5 stars reviews, I felt the same way on Boris' service. He is very honest, hard working, and he will try to save you as much as he can. I had his service 2017 summer. Yup ! this is a long past-due review. In June 2017, our AC was not working properly. The fan is running but there's no cold air, just hot/warm air came out. I first called this "400+" 5 stars reviews company. The guy seems very knowledge and charged $225 for his 1hr of inspection work and explaining to me and my wife. He sent me a very detailed report and said I have a leak on the coolant line. He quoted $1400 to patch/seal/glue(whatever I forgot) the line but he DOES NOT guarantee it'll last more than 1 year. Then I found Boris, he came with a quick inspection, less than 30 minutes (no charge). and told my wife we just need to refill the coolant. We said the other company found a leak. Boris said, nope, there's no leak, you can either believe me or the other company. So...........we chose Boris because it's CHEAPER, lol. It was ~$400 to refill the coolant. Two weeks after Boris refill the coolant, our AC stop working again. We think "Oh, no! there is really a leak, so in just two weeks AC stops working again" We called Boris and he squeezed some time out from his busy schedule (yup, it was really hot that June) He found out it was the fuse. He quickly changed it and our AC has no problem after that. And he didn't charge us on that big fuse ! Anyway, I hold my review for two years because time will tell! Boris, we are really thankful to have you to fix our AC with the most honest and affordable option. You don't have to message and ask me what's the name of the other one, there's only 1 with 400+ reviews and still have 5 stars. They may be good and professional, but it'll cost you ! I'll stay with Boris. read more

In the past six months I have used GB Heating and Air three times. Once was a roof install of a large commercial air cond unit at the non-profit where I was Finance Director. The pricing was the best in the Bay Area and the job was completed on time in perfect order. Boris and company have been to my home twice. Once to repair the heating unit - once to repair the air cond. Both times they were on time and fixed the problem quickly at a very fair price. I would not consider using any other HVAC company in the Bay Area ! read more

It's been triple digits out here in the Bay and my AC decides to die out one evening. I called GB and Boris answered right away. I told him I needed someone to look at my AC as soon as possible. And asked when if I could come take his next available appointment. I was sooo excited he was able to fit me in the next day. He was professional, quick to diagnosis the problem and had the parts ready to go! He fixed my unit and in a matter of 20 minutes; repaired the parts, explained the issue in detail and my ac started working immediately.
