Umar and his team did an outstanding job installing my Mr. Cool 3-Ton Heat Pump from Home Depot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After receiving multiple quotes from different HVAC companies, I found Umar's to be both fair and perfectly suited to my needs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I specifically sought a company that would flow nitrogen during brazing and flush the lineset, as these are crucial steps for ensuring the compressor's longevity. Umar completed the installation according to code, which was important for passing the inspection required to qualify for the Silicon Valley Clean Energy Rebate. Moreover, his team handled all the electrical work(upgrading the breakers, including converting the electrical from 120v to 240v for the Air Handler), insulated the new sheet metal, applied mastic to create an airtight seal, and custom-built a sheet metal box that the Air Handler sits on top of to connect the air handler to the existing ducts. They worked diligently throughout the day and completed the installation in a single day, passing the inspection on the first attempt. I've been using my Mr Cool heat pump for about 1 month now through the winter and it heats up my 1500 sq ft area fairly quickly. I am very surprised at its speed at heating up the space. I originally was skeptical at a heat pump compared to my old traditional gas furnace, and happy with its performance. A++ service from Panda HVAC. Umar, El and their team at Panda HVAC are an amazing set of folks to work with! I contacted them to give me an assessment of the heating/HVAC and insulation in the home and provide suggestions for how we could improve the comfort level. Umar himself came down for this assessment, and spent a good 45 minutes at the property, and did an absolutely thorough inspection, and gave very critical tips about zoning, how the air flow in the duct system could be balanced using dampers to even the heat distribution in the home (which he tested was very uneven right now - he did this by actually taking the time to turn the heating on, and check the quantity of airflow coming from all of the vents, upstairs and downstairs), and how leaks in some major ducts needed to be sealed to improve performance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Given the time he had spent and the high-quality inputs he provided, I even offered to pay for the service (he provided real value! that anyone would happily pay for), but he refused and said this was part of their process.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is *absolutely outstanding customer service* - personalized, human, caring, and considerate! And, not something that one sees so often in today's day-and-age. Even though he realized that there may not be an improvement project right away, he STILL provided his inputs, and was generous with his time. I cannot thank Umar, El et al enough! I called PTU HVAC for furnace maintenance. My furnace sometimes was working inefficiently. Umar inspected my furnace. Then he cleaned it. Also he changed some parts to run it smoothly. Air ducts were very old. He removed 30 years old insulation, sealed all connections and wrapped with brand new insulation. Now they look much, much better. I am extremely happy with his service. My experience with PTU HVAC was great overall. I had a wireless thermostat with a base station that needed to be installed. Umar gave an estimate with a low and high end, and he came in much closer to the low end. He had to go fetch some tools, and there was a slight miscommunication as to when he would return, but once I got in touch with him he came back quickly and handled the job within an hour. I had a separate issue where the internal frame for one of our vents fell into the duct and I thought it was blocking the duct. Umar gave an estimate to remove it, but then when he looked at it determined it wasn't blocking the hot air from passing through the duct, so it wasn't necessary to remove it.
