My friend and I ordered grilled cod and grilled mackerel for dinner and both were cooked just right. Grilled fishes tasted delicious with banchan, white rice and bean sprouts soup. The inside was very modern and spacious. The servers were very polite and helpful.

Food here was excellent. Pretty spacious, good decor, quality meat, great food all around. We went with the Premium Set and it was grilled to perfection. It comes with two types of beef, one that is leaner and fit for a king, the other aged, fatty, and oh so tender. The steamed egg was amazing and you can choose which jigae (stew) you want (kimchi or daengjang). Seafood pancake was great too, was a good portion. It was on the thicker side with generous pieces of seafood for a pancake.

Came here for the Korean Barbecue Wagyu Special Set for 2 people. This is definitely enough food for us, two large selections of Wagyu plus banchan plus steamed egg and kimchi jjigae ~ first time here, will definitely come back! We've walked past this restaurant plenty of times but never noticed it until I scoured Yelp for a KBBQ place to satisfy my cravings! It sits across from the big iPic/Paris Baguette building and has complimentary garage parking. The space is large and airy, with a moody and cozy ambiance. The service staff is accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly - he assured us that the wagyu was especially delicious tonight LOL. Tbh, we would mostly only come back for the A5 Kagoshima wagyu ribeye. It was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth buttery. Australian Wagyu Strip, unfortunately, left much to be desired :( It was flavorful and tender enough, however not sure if the cut was too thick or seared for slightly too long, but was more chewy than we'd have liked. Still not bad! If we were to come back next time, we definitely just want to get a la carte A5 plus try some of the hot appetizers :)

My family and I came here to celebrate our friend's baby first birthday. The party was seated at the side room by the entrance. The food was just okay. I feel like Korean cuisine is difficult to elevate to be modern and elegant. The service was excellent. Water was always full and clean plates were rotated. The alcoholic drink and mocktales were also really good. Typically, I would not dine here for a regular lunch or dinner. But, I'd would definitely have special events hosted here. Maybe not fantasy football drafts but that's doable too. Save yourself the aggravation and pay for parking at the garage.

We were a party of 13 in one of their private rooms. The lunch specials were delicious and perfect for each individual. It was great because we each had our own side dishes. The restaurant is very clean and sleek, and the staff are friendly. Only small issue was that our food came out at different times so some people got their food really early and one person got theirs really late. Pro tip: They validate parking so park in the garage.

Came here for an event in the private front room and it was very well done. We had family style appetizers with some kind of spicy fried chicken dish which was delicious, and grilled shrimp and steak served with personal bibimbap and various side dishes and sauces. Dessert was ice cream with some crunchy chocolate toppings. The room was spacious and simple but stylish.

Fancy Korean BBQ restaurant restaurant with high quality meat and great service. This restaurant is quite modern and beautiful. The booth seat was comfortable and had plenty of room for 5 people. We had the wagyu ribeye, Unmarinated short rib, and duck along with some appetizers and kimchi soup. All the food was prepared well and with fresh ingredients. Wagyu was well marbled, as expected. We had 3 orders among 5 people and honestly I think this was too much. It's so rich and fatty that it was hard to eat so much of it. One criticism I have is that they turned up the fire to the max and that caused the meat to have a bit of gas taste. When they lowered the heat for the other meats I did not notice such taste. Short rib was good--but honestly nothing to write home about. You don't find duck on the menu at many places but this place has it. It was a really good change up and delicious. Service was attentive and good. The lady who cooked the meat for us was friendly without being annoying. I highly recommend this place for any special occasions.

My boyfriend and I go here often... we usually get the same thing- galbi tang and spicy pork dolsot bibimbap. We like to get a soup dish so we usually get these two things and both are good! Galbi tang- lots of meat and it's huge! Love the broth and how clean it taste Dolsot bibimbap- hot stone bibimbap here is so good! We always get the spicy pork. There was one time were it didn't seem like we got a lot of meat but usually ratios good and love how hot it is Bossam- good :) but I like Bossam house better with all the other stuff they give you. It's good but not something id rave about Galbi jjim- good but again nothing to rave about. It's not as greasy which I like Calamari salad- good but nothing I crave... Madeline- I've been trying to get this and finally tried it. Super cute and tiny. Comes out fresh and hot. Not sure if they actually made it and it comes right out of the oven but loved that it was hot! One time I tried getting it it was sold out and other times I forget to ask... wouldn't get it again unless I'm craving lemon madeline Myun-sang from the lunch special: (nengmyun and galbi) Bibim nengmyun- I can't eat Korean cold noodles cus it's too chewy for me and I got sick once as a kid and after that anytime I try I get sick.. so it's not something I eat but my boyfriend got it and he said it was okay and was more Americanized. It was too sweet for him. I tried the sauce and it was def on the sweeter side.. almost like a fried chicken marinade. Galbi- they don't ask how you like the meat cooked but it came out medium rare and some medium... it was soft and tender. Really good! Service is always great and I see people hosting diff events here. I would def take my family here. Food isn't special but the service and vibe make it worth it. Parking: there's a garage you can park for free at for 3 hours! Exit out from the IPIC elevator and the restaurant will be on your left I think and IPIC will be right across the street :) There's also coffee shops across the street and a new mini food court opening up soon :)

Pricey but worth the money IMO. Although the heftier prices might be why this place isn't packed to the gills, I still saw a good number of people here for dinner on a Saturday night. I tried several different items, but generally speaking I'd say their meat BBQ, especially the ribeye, was particularly well done and tasted pretty awesome. The other item of note I really had to call out was the spicy cod fish stew, which had a killer good soup base and plenty of cod to go around. I really enjoyed both items and those were the ones that really stuck out. The service was good and the chocolate dessert I had was also above average. Basically this place is like a Manhattan upscale kinda joint with price tags that match it. Personally there are other places nearby that offer just as good food that don't necessary hit these price ceilings so I really can't say this is is the definitive spot to go to in terms of value vs taste ratio per se. However, what I can say is if you're looking for a comfortable upscale option, this isn't a bad one at all.

The food is very mediocre. Seafood pancakes- 3/5 too thick Bimbimbap - 1/5 it's just not good or authentic something is missing Ribs - 2/5 something is not right

Went for restaurant week. The proportion seemed small but it was definitely about the right amount and the lil radish in flower shape was very cute. Overall good experience and wud return. The pear martini was not the vibe

(3/12/2022) A lunch gathering for 10 people in the private room of Gayeon, Fort Lee on a freezing snowy day in March, 2022. A great ambience, high ceiling, spacious, & very socially distant tables. The price is probably for all the above ambience, because the food portion was tiny for the price we were charged. Even it has become a rule of thumb that all price has increased, at least, a bit of quality decency to live up to its price would have been appreciated. Mushroom tangsoo ($18) - People always order this as an appetizer, but never understood why we pay $18 for ten small pieces of mushroom. Calamari Salad($18) - A bit of green with well seasoned calamari, 7 small pieces of calamari. Bossam ($27) - Could order a full dish of pork for this price. The pork was meaty. Black cod ($30 for lunch) - I always order this since the fish is tasty, soft, and just melts in your mouth. Just just just wish it would be at least the size of my palm !!!!! Amid the pandemic, this place was favored due to the ambience. But, honestly, this place is overpriced.

Finally got to try this place I heard so much about on a Christmas day with wife because it was…read morefrigid and we wanted a warm bowl of Korean "tang"(soup). Finding parking is quite challenging given the location on a busy commercial street, so make sure you can come earlier than meal time to have better luck. They have waiting seats OUTSIDE so yeah I suppose it's quite popular at times. 1. ATMOSPHERE (3/5) - This location is small and it's pretty straightforward place. But I still found it cozy, with decent amount of seating (I think it can handle 15-20 max) and little details like wall with wood ledges and coat hangers were a nice touch. Seating was comfortable, though we tied our down parkas around our waist as another party had hung theirs on our side of coat hangers. 2. FOOD (4/5) - We dove right in to try their famous gejang (~Korean raw crab "ceviche") and ordered two of their namesake gookbap (rice with soup) to see how they are. Here's how it went down. - Gejang (App, $20, 2/5) - I had a hunch that on a holiday perhaps I should not order this, but my craving for succulent crab flesh be damned, I went for it and unfortunately, the meat was not well-marinated as I had feared. Gejang is a dish that has to sit in the complex soy-based pickling liquid for some time... and if restaurant is too busy churning them out or if it's slow season they won't do this properly. It not only wasn't fully marinated, I think the marinade was off because the spiciness was way out of balance and was overpowering. Perhaps knowing that it didn't have enough time to marinade the kitchen put extra diced jalapenos to compensate? Because that's exactly what it tasted like - you can't fool me. I tried to salvage the dish by asking a confused-looking girl server for some sugar, but yeah, can't un-do the overpowered marinade with sprinkling of sugar. This was really unfortunate as I was looking forward to a good bite. - Ahjae Gookbap (Main, $18, 5/5) - Thankfully, their namesake gookbap was spot-on to salvage our dining. Generous slabs of succulent beef on the bone and off the bone was swimming in a hearty beef/bone broth that tasted clean and focused. Portion was good, and can I say their banchan of fish cake moochim & unfermented kimchi & ggakdugi(radish kimchi) simply ROCKS? That was some serious deliciousness and dare I say value at $18 at a day and age where hamburger costs over $10! You win at life by ordering this! 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Our server girl was attentive and food came out early on though later it was a bit hard to get her attention promptly. We found ourselves putting hands in the air, and wavin' like we don't care... for a little while. They provide gloves & metal bin for gejang which was a nice touch for people to keep their fingers clean. One thing I'd like to mention: Plastic cup they served water in was all chipped on the rim so we instead went and got water from their hot & cold water dispenser which had metal cups (as many korean restaurants do). I'd suggest them to replace all these old plastic cups with metal ones for health reasons. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. I'd chock up the gejang mishap to it being a holiday. I hope chef was just off with the marinade that day because I am a certified gejang pro(I catch and make my own) and that balance ain't it. But I will give it another try during warmer month and we'll definitely be back to try sooyook moochim, oyster jeon & other great soup offerings.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

The quality of the pork was really good as well. There was a lot of food for two people which I really appreciated. This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

Furthermore, the exhaust hood at our table wasn't working properly, causing the smoke from the pork belly to fill the air and make it hard to breathe. She didn't check on us until much later. Ruined Meal Flow: While we were still eating our pork belly, she came over and--without asking--scraped all the meat onto a side plate to clear the grill for the spicy squid. We had to eat cold, greasy pork belly instead of enjoying it warm off the grill. She never even asked if we wanted fried rice afterward and ignored our table for the rest of the night. We always try to treat service staff with respect and gratitude, but this experience was unacceptable. Despite our polite demeanor, we were treated with zero professional courtesy. If the manager or owner is reading this, please look into the staff working that shift. This waitress needs serious retraining in basic customer service. It's a shame because we loved this restaurant, but after tonight, we have no desire to return.
