Wait, how have I not reviewed Colony Wine Merchant yet?! CWM is an absolute gem…read more My husband and I started going here about 4 years ago after I hosted a private event here. Ever since then, it's become a regular spot for us. The owners Sonya and Mike are truly what make Colony special -- but so does their incredible staff. I can't say enough good things about Shalene, Molly, Camille... anyone we come in contact with is always so sweet and attentive. The wine selection speaks for itself. Sonya does a great job at bringing a rotating selection that we always enjoy. There is always a featured flight that, a great selection of white, red, and bubbles, and they even have some craft beers available as well. There is also a great selection of wine to purchase to take home with you after. But the food. Oh my, you don't just go to Colony for the wine because their food is absolutely FANTASTIC. You can't go wrong with their charcuterie, and let me tell you they have the BEST french fries in Orange County. The daily specials have never disappointed and on Tuesday nights you can't get one of the best grilled cheese around. We love visiting on Thursday nights because the owner Mike does live music on Thursdays where he sings and plays the guitar. This last year, my husband got us their wine membership which we have really enjoyed. Every other month you get a curated four wine selection and you get to come during a window to pick up your wine and you get two free flights to enjoy when you pick up. Pays for half the membership in itself. My only complaint? It's not closer to our house... which maybe is a good thing. And I won't deduct a star over it.

Came here for some axe throwing for 4 people. Its cool that you can upgrade to a bag of shovel,…read moreaxe and knife to throw. Since you know an axe isnt hard enough to throw!! It was super hot in here. I dont think they had ac, just really big fans. Being a super hot day in Fullerton, it was quite uncomfortable. The actual axe throwing lane is small. Only 1 person can be throwing at a time. Unlike axe slayers (unfortunately permanently closed) in redlands where 2 people can be throwing at a time. Here its dark and hard to see. The projection needs some help. Its really blurry and hard to see. Maybe it's the projector or the screen that needs updating. The board definitely has seen better days. Its beyond used. Several large chunks were missing from it. It wasent even smooth anymore. Huge divets in the board. Should've been replaced months ago. It kooked loke a freaking 3-d map of the mountain ranges around Mt. Everest, with tall areas of where the wood should be, then massive depressions where chunk of wood has been taken off the board. The floor haven't been sweeped in I dont know how long. Large peices of wood and splinters all over the place. Just seemed really unkept and not taken cared of. There were different games you can play. But the board was so tore up it was kind of hard to see the lines and things on the actual board. The mouse clicker and computer system worked pretty well though. The sitting area was a line of stools and a bar top. You had to tuck your legs in if people were walking by. Basically your sitting shoulder to shoulder with the next party if they were on the next lane over. That happened to us, a group was next to us, and we basically had to take turns getting into our lane it was so cramped. It was just too small in here. Customer service was cool. Lots of safety measures. But I've been to better axe throwing places. This place did not wow me. They also have a rage room, which is cool, but it is expensive and I dont feel as though its worth the price. It was fun adjacent. On the fence if I'll come back here.

You also get to choose different games to test your skill levels throwing the axe. They also have a rage room and arcade games. My husband and I booked for an hour and felt like that was plenty of time for two people. We are both very competitive so my only hangup is we started getting really hot and the fan wasn't doing it for us. It would be awesome to have drinks or small bites available but this place is also conveniently located in DT Fullerton and there's plenty of spots nearby. Overall, super fun and worth trying out!

Plus it is close to some kiddie rides in case the kids get board and want to wander off close by. During the festival they had more substantial food in this area. Instead of the small tastes they had full meal size portions. We tried the impossible burger gyro. It was absolutely amazing! Honestly, you could not tell it was vegetarian. It tasted exactly like gyro meat. Plus the pita was soft and fluffy and the toppings were spot on, so good! I am not sure if it was vegan or if there was real yogurt on this meal, but it was honestly one of the best gyros I have ever had outside of Tarpon Springs! So good in fact that I had to try to recreate it back at home for dinner.

They played covers of rock songs; I'm not sure if they played any of their own original songs. I had some indigestion and unfortunately couldn't order a mixed drink like I wanted to, so within the group I came with (they ordered some beer and mixed drinks), I ordered a Club Soda and it did help settle my stomach more. The female bartender that made my Club Soda (free of charge) was pleasant and delivered great customer service. I didn't know Club Sodas are sometimes free at bars; I literally ordered this and nothing else, and she still didn't charge me so that was cool. For her time and service, I tipped her a few dollars which she appreciated. A decent dive bar to try if you're in the area.
