Came here on a Sunday morning looking for a brunch/ mimosa spot. The drinks were very good I tried the mimosas and margaritas. Food quality is not so good specially for their hefty cost, I ordered the chilaquiles and they were sooooo dry! Was told they'd be spicy, that wasn't the case, just a disappointment when it came to food. The ambiance is actually very chill and upbeat. I'd recommend this place to just come and enjoy some drinks with friends but not the food! read more

This place is definitely a vibe! If you're in Long Beach you should check this place out. Right by the ocean. Views are nice with that ocean breeze. Good music, always people around. Ceviche is good quality. Happy hour prices are also good. Any good deals you can get in this economy! read more

What a gorgeous Beach out here in Shoreline Village, Long Beach, CA. I came across this tourist location was from visiting Marina Green Park, Long Beach, CA., a couple month ago. Any ways: when I come later during any week day, I'd like to take side streets because I don't want to deal with stress from driving. When I arrive here, I like to be in relaxed mode which I currently am on Thursday, 04/18/24. Visiting this beach, you get to enjoy the following activities: 1). Walk your dogs 2). Boat watch 3). Bird watch~you see~Pelicans, Seagulls, Pigeons.... 4). Work out~jog, run, walk/run etc... 5). Any other activity you name it. Parking is extremely convenient within Shoreline Village, Long Beach, CA. I'll go add some pics now post review writing. So serene here. I can totally live here. Just learned they own a Gaucho Cafe as well....I'll be back to try their food next time. XoXo. This review is mostly about our awesome waiter Bill from Philly. He is funny, attentive, gave us good pointers on food and drink, and is super personable. First of all, LOVE this place. Great spot on the beach, full bar and tasty food. I recently had my 50th bday party on their second floor, and it was a HUGE sucess. Alisha, Estevan, Sal and their team were on top of everything, from follow up, to food suggestions (we did buffet style for up to 60 people), to setting up a champagne bar. It was a super sunny Dec day, and not enough umbrellas, and they went above and beyond to locate more umbrellas for my guests. Couldn't rave more about the level of service I received and everyone should book their parties here!!! Also, TONS of parking in front and on the side of Gaucho, and and an elevator if you don't want to use the stairs. Thank you again Alisha and Gaucho team!!! Much appreciated!!! read more

My family came here for brunch at around 11 on a Saturday. We were seated immediately. The food is really good. I've eaten here twice. We got the artichoke and feta dip, vegan cheese burger, lobster omelettes, and the shrimp taquitos. Both times we got the artichoke and feta dip. It's top tier. The vegan cheese burger was super tasty and great textures, but it was hard to eat. Everything kept sliding around. Ended up eating it in layers. But that was fine. Got the Caesar salad on the side. Very tasty and they didn't skimp on the dressing. My dad and boyfriend both got the lobster omelette. They both liked it, but it also seemed like a premade egg that they heated up and rolled lobster inside. both still happily cleared their plates. My mom got the shrimp taquitos. She liked them, but they left the shrimp tails on them, so make sure you're careful when you take a bite! The food was good, the service was incredible, and the views/location are top tier. Overall, I wish we didn't have to work so hard to eat the vegan burger and the shrimp taquitos, but all the flavors were good and the service is what took the cake. And although the first 2 margaritas we tipped $5.00, she refused to make the 2 other margaritas we ordered. Why? She told us she won't make the margaritas because we didn't tip enough for the first 2. We are both restaurant GM's ( I have over 34 years experience) came here for Mother's Day. If I ever heard any of my bartenders or food servers make that comment to a guest/patron I'd fire them! Just feel you need to know to keep your establishment in order.

My twin sister and I were trying to seat our party together and she just didn't seem accommodating but just dismissive. I had heard great things about a server named Ashley from others in my party, and I really wish we had been seated in her section. Based on this experience, I won't be returning or recommending this place to others.

I've been walking by this charming beachside restaurant for months, and its stunning ocean views have finally convinced me to give it a try. The colorful buildings and lively atmosphere have made me curious about the delicious food and sunny spot it must offer. When parking, it's a good idea to download the Passport app, if you plan to go before 6pm especially when parking enforcement is out in full force. This way, you can pay for your parking spot quickly and easily, avoiding the risk of receiving a ticket in the time it takes to get back to your car. By paying for your parking through the app, you can ensure that you're not stuck with an unexpected fine, and you'll also be supporting the city's efforts to streamline parking payment processes. I was taken aback when we had to sit ourselves at a table, it's not something I'm used to at a beachfront restaurant like this. But, considering the stunning ocean views and the fact that it was a weekday, the lack of assigned seating wasn't a bad thing - it added to the casual, laid-back vibe of the place. Our waiter was friendly and enthusiastic, but it took a bit of time to get their attention - we had to wait for a while before someone came to take our order. Despite the delay, her demeanor remained warm and welcoming, and she made sure to check in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. The steak and chicken empanadas complicated were excellent! The steak was tender and juicy with a nice char, while the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender within. Both dishes were well-seasoned and allowed the natural flavors to shine through. My sister wasn't too thrilled with the fish and chips, unfortunately. She found the batter to be overdone, giving the fish an unpleasant texture. To make matters worse, the fish was prone to bursting with juice, which was a bit messy and unappetizing. The tartar sauce, which she thought would add a nice tanginess, ended up being off-putting instead, with a weird taste that didn't complement the dish well. arrived at the restaurant at approximately 3:55, waited for 10 minutes in the hall beside the bar for someone to acknowledge that we were present. we stated we would like a table for dinner and were told by the bartender take any table that's open. So we did five minutes later someone came over and cleaned the table and asked if we needed assistance.. we said we had come for dinner and she said I'll send over the waiter... 10 minutes later, the waiter arrived, and we told him we would like to have a menu.... He proceeds to find a menu and brings one menu for three people..... that's right one menu for three people.... we look over the menu and order two steaks, and one salad and calamari...... Approximately 15 minutes later, a server, not our waiter brings steak and the calamari..... Anticipating that the other stake was forthcoming, I was mistaken.... After requesting to see our waiter after 10 minutes, we asked where the other steak was..... said, let me look into it.... Five minutes late he shows up with the second steak..... The steak that was served to me was un edible..... I tried my best, but I just could not eat the steak...... I asked the server if he would send the waiter to me so that I could show him what my problem was...... after a five minute wait and no waiter I decided to go to the bar and ask for the manager.... I explained to him what the problem was and he could see that the steak was un eatable.... he did refund the money that I had paid for the steak....... I only wish that I would not have included a 20% tip for a waiter that was non-existent..... but that's what happens when you have to order pay for and include the tip before the meal is served..... this is a poor poor policy....... So buyer beware if you plan on using this restaurant, I wouldn't pay before you see what you are about to receive.... with the service and food as poor as it was presented to us this restaurant will not be around very long..... Can't even begin to describe how awful this place is!!!!! As a former employee for Almost a year... If only you all knew what was taking place behind closed doors!!!! To start You wouldn't believe the amount of CROSS CONTAMINATION happening here. The surfaces food is prepared on is absolutely disgusting and never ever ever cleaned or sanitized. They don't even wash dishes with soap or sanitizer and only spray them off and run through the machine with water. Health Code Violations? Ha! Long Beach is Notorious for Health Departments not doing their jobs and being paid off by places like this that are owned by the city. The amount of rodents and bugs and disgust in and around this place would make anyone never want to step foot near here again. This place seriously needs to be shut down immediately due to HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS The owners of Guacho? Who are they? Management? Who are they as well? Who actually controls what's Happening here? The amount of corners being cut to just make money is insane. There is no management and employees are left constantly having to pick up the slack of the business. Employees give inventory through group chat to a manager and that manager then gives the order to his manager and then that person doesn't order what's needed on time for the business to have what's on the menus and then the employees are left telling customers we're out of items. This has been going on since the start and has not changed. I could literally keep going and going and going with how horrible this place was and is. The amount of employees you see come and go, the lacking all around from everyone is ridiculous. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF LONG BEACH SOMEONE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!!!!!
