Bang was our server/bartender on the rooftop patio and he went above and beyond for us. He prepared a wonderful slightly sweet & spicy drink that was not on the menu but a 10/10!! He was so welcoming and knew all the best things to order. We ordered the gaucho burger, blue cheese burger, and the Cuban sandwich and they were all fantastic! read more

Josue was an excellent server, food an beach vibes at Gaucho always make for the perfect Sunday

Sal is awesome and super nice, customer service 10/10. Place is by the beach and the food is yummy :)

Food was amazing and Josue gave such great service despite the amount of tables he had. He multitasked well while providing excellent service. Coming back for sure only negative is ladies bathroom needs more attention. Staff was insanely busy with tables to even take time to go look, so maybe hire more. read more

Excellent place to come for date night ask for Bang the bartender. Great service great ambience. It was a little chilly. He turned the heater on for us, but without even asking made you feel like you're at home. My first drink was a little sweet. He came back to check on me for another asked how it was. I literally said it was sweet. He asked me if I wanted spicy neutral or sweet. I said neutral. He took it from there brought me back a new drink that was exactly what I wanted. Perfect can't make this up. This guy genuinely knows his craft and loves what he does great vibe by the beach Argentinian vibe highly recommend you come take this out. read more

Josue was awesome! Great drinks Great customer service The Fernet Branka was different but they offered to let me try it without me asking. Truly appreciate that! read more

Gaucho beach is a new beachside restaurant and bar in downtown Long Beach. Great views of the Queen mary and the downtown skyline but this concept was not a favorite of mine. They don't have servers to take your order or anyone to come by the table to greet you or say hello. You seat yourself and order from a QR code then someone brings your beverage and food. Very impersonal way to dine. We sat at the bar and no one said hello to us or acknowledged we were there. The food came out quickly once we ordered and the flavors of the burger, steak, and salad were good but the service fell short. I had higher expectations for this place and was disappointed. read more

Gaucho Beach is literally perfection! The views, the vibes, and the food all make this spot a perfect 5 star reviewed restaurant. When in Long Beach you have to come to this restaurant. Gaucho Beach is a fun little outdoor/indoor restaurant nearby the water. This spot is fun as one side is more Togo style order at a counter specializing in coffees and empanadas and then the side we were on is a more sit down style restaurant. It was unique though as there isn't full wait service. You get your own waters from a communal jug and then you order your food to be brought to your table through an online menu using a QR code. Definitely young and hip in that respect. There are staff that bring you your food and clear plates but it's definitely a more hands off vibe. We didn't mind at all. What is cool though is they also have a beautiful bar located in the middle so you can grab a barstool and order craft cocktails to your hearts desire. Despite not having formal service everyone was really nice here and the food did come out fast despite being very busy by 11am on a weekend. Next time I definitely need to come back to try some of their fabulous looking cocktails as that was the only thing I didn't try from the menu. However, the food was all A+. Delicious, fresh, and portions were beyond generous for the price. We did a girls brunch and everyone was in love with their meals. This spot is a crowd pleaser and the menu was diverse enough for our different tastes. There wasn't a bite I had that I didn't like. Calamari appetizer: get it! 5/5. The batter was freaking delicious, a nice hint of salt and flavor. Super crispy and well cooked. I love when they serve calamari with the rings and the baby squid legs and such. Nice variety of textures and flavors + a great dripping sauce this was an awesome way to start the meal. Probably one of the better calamari's I've had in a hot minute. I ordered the skirt steak brunch and it was the best brunch dish I've had this year! No joke it was WOW, speechless. My skirt steak was cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare and the portion was huge. Ordered with some over easy eggs and it came with papas and a cute little side salad this dish was IT! I'll be raving about this one for awhile. You must get this if you come here and just aren't in the mood for seafood as it's a great dish. But on a seafood note they also execute their seafood dishes to perfection. My friends had the fish and chips and the fried crab sandwich and both gals were super happy with their dishes. This place isn't a one trick pony, everything is good. When in Long Beach this new spot is an easy A+, please support this new business and let me know what you think. read more

Finally got to stop by after passing by so many times! I love how their menu is right in the open and easy to find. I was greeted and got my order taken pretty fast. I sat down and people watched and my order was ready within 5-7 minutes! Although this was a short stop, I would love to plan a day where I can eat something else from the menu! read more

This place has had consistently bad service since it opened. I've returned multiple times because they have happy hour and are conveniently located near my house, they also had one item on the menu i liked. I really enjoyed the mussels so i would come back for those. I do think This is probably the last time i will be back, the service was once again disappointing, i had to sit and wait 10 minutes at the bar before anyone even acknowledged i was there. (It was a tuesday at 5pm..) i ordered and wasn't given any cutlery or napkins, i ended up grabbing some from a table nearby. it's clear they've made some staff and menu changes since the last time i was here. The mussels did not taste the same and were definitely changed, i also got a side Caesar salad that was wilty. For the price of these items, i expect the quality, flavor and size to be better. not a fan and probably won't come back. read more

The food is good, absolutely, but let's talk about our server. Bangich (Bang) is the most incredible person let alone one of the best servers we've ever had. I've been to Gauchos many times, but we've never been taken care of so well or have just been able to connect with someone to the level Bangich was able to do. read more

This is a such a great happy hour spot. If you're looking for something right on the beach, this is the place for you. Bang took great care of us. We had raspberry lemon drops, an old fashioned, mussels, shrimp taquitos, calamari, empanadas, and loaded fries. The shrimp taquitos and loaded fries were the standout items. The parking is also pretty convenient. read more

Open air and outdoors on the beach! This isn't a beach shack type of place. It's brand new! It's not exactly a full service place. You order your food and drinks using a designated QR code for each table and bar seat. It's easy, but pay as you go though. But wait staff come around often so the service is fine. Full service bar including top shelf liquor, a few drink specials and bar seating. This is a great spot for meat and seafood. I've only eaten a few things here, but I like that the recipes are tasty. Blackened salmon sandwich with a cream sauce. Calamari with a lemon aioli. Spicy Chorizo sandwich. You get the idea. But they do have vegetarian and and even a few vegan options. read more

Yesi came through with the drinks and food for the World Cup service she was friendly and on it!

Not a friendly staff. Very Rude. Ambience is nice but working crew is not. Customer service training is much needed. Food isn't good enough to accept the poor customer service. read more

They don't take of their local - Daniel is trash's he's so rude and Daniel is honesty the rudes server I've had.

The food was amazing, I ordered the shrimp ceviche and the gaucho burger, the ambiance was of course gorgeous because it sits right in the beach. And the service was quick, I loved being able to choose my own seat rather than waiting a long time for a seat. Definitely will be back there are some other things I want to try read more

Food, service and view were great! Bang our server was great!!! He was efficient and funny, great job!!!!!!

The location is pretty rad, right on the beach. You have to order yourself with the QR code on the table. All things considered, The food was surprisingly really good. The lobster roll was plentiful with lobster and delicious. The side salad was good too. We also tried the asparagus fries, that they forgot about... the mussels and guacamole. The service is lacking here. But when you flag someone down and ask for help they are really nice and seem to try. Leaving 3 stars because as a table of 3 that ordered at the same time; everything came out very sporadicly. One drink came out and another person's food. By the time we got most of the food, we were still missing a drink. And they forgot to bring out one of apps. Just felt disorganized in delivery. If you want something lax by the beach then I recommend. At least the quality of drinks and food was good. read more

I was looking forward to trying this spot after reading such raving reviews. After going, I was quite disappointed. My party was seated inside on the upper deck, it was quite loud and it was hard to hear any conversation. The waiter greeted us and asked to take our order, in which some members needed a minute to decide. Instead of returning, he proceeded to read his cell phone every time there was a slight pause in ordering. I've never seen this ever by any waitstaff, quite unprofessional. He barely returned to check in on us after that. I ordered the smoked salmon appetizer which was terrible quality, some pieces looked and tasted like it was stale or sat out. The corners of the fish was even hardened. Food was on the higher price for the mediocre quality, and the service was slow and inattentive. Definitely, won't be going back. The hype online is not the reality. Also the parking lot is quite a mess as well, certain areas were blocked off by a fence, and it was difficult to find parking, read more
