My first visit to Gators Bayou was a lunch meet up with friends. The decor is fun, but the music was just loud enough to make conversation difficult. The Cajun pasta was amazing, most people seemed satisfied by their food, but two of the six people had to change their order because of things Gators Bayou was out of. The waitress was attentive, changing out or refilling everyone's drink at least once. I might visit again to try the dirty rice, and maybe the frog legs.

Parking lot is a tight squeeze due to the fact this is in a plaza. It's seat yourself, our server was a super sweet girl. Staff had masks but there was no capacity limit, and no social distancing. This made me uncomfortable and I actually wanted to leave but our server had brought out the menus right before we could get up. The food was great though, I had the chicken Alfredo, it came with two rolls. It doesn't look like much, but believe me you get quite a good serving! The sauce was really great. I would consider coming back a second time once this corona has died down

I ordered the crawfish étouffée ($9.50) and found 4 or 5 crawfish tails swimming in a sea of dark brown sauce. I asked the waitress to come see for herself. The kitchen brought out 5 more crawfish tails in a bowl. This is the worst service recovery I have ever experience. This is after the manager came over to my table to talk to me. The other 3 friends of mine also were not impressed with their portion size. I should have read earlier reviews on Yelp about this restaurant! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE.

Decided to stop in and grab some lunch today at this location. The special was a chicken fried steak and one side. I chose the dirty rice and it was very tasty. This is one location that I will return to every chance I get!

Great Jambalaya! A lot of food for the money. Typical sportsbar atmosphere. Would recommend.

We love Gator's. The food is always great. The etoufee, blackened chicken, Cajun macaroni and the salad are my favorites.

Food was decent but the price was fairly cheap. The best part of my meal was their bloody Mary's. Service was good on a Monday evening.

The food is decent but overpriced. There are better options in Lubbock. The best part is the location for me.

HUGE fan of snooze , so happy to have one so close to home now!…read more Super busy but joined the waitlist and the associates were friendly and welcoming! Food is always delicious and filling.

Before my daughter's pulmonology appointment, I decided we needed brunch…read more What better place in Lubbock, Texas, than Snooze, an A.M. Eatery? There were tons of young parents with their babies and toddlers in here at about 1 pm. There was a baby-changing station in the large stall of the women's restroom. Because I didn't know how long they would take getting our food out, I requested our drinks in to-go cups which seemed small. The strawberry lavender lemonade was not what I originally wanted, but it was okay ($6.50). My daughter's Strawberry Shortcake Dirty Soda ($3.95) was absolutely delicious. For food, oddly we both gravitated to the "Bennys: The Art of Hollandaise." While it wasn't the best hollandaise sauce I have ever tried, it was good on the "Smashed Avocado Benny" ($16.50). My daughter ate almost all of her "Bella Bella Benny" ($15.25) which came with prosciutto she loved. Both plates were served with house hash browns that were cooked just right and not too greasy. INDOOR/OUTDOOR DINING There was a dust storm rolling through town on February 17, 2026, so we dined inside, but there *is* an outdoor patio that looked fabulous. PITFALLS They were out of the "Rejuvenate" juice I wanted. The restrooms and the dining area could have been cleaner plus our waitress, Ellie, could have remembered items a bit better - hence the star knocked off. TIPS + free parking in a plaza lot + close to Texas Tech University + a shortlist of cocktails was available RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4.5 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 4| Price: 4
