Our waitress was great the entire evening - appropriately checking in on us while also cognizant that we were having a meeting. I started off the with zero proof spritzer and that was very good! Reminiscent of an Aperol spritz, but NA. Our table got the seasonal grilled flatbread and the curry fries to share. The flatbread was excellent, best thing I had there all night. The curry fries on its own was very bland! Not sure I could taste salt much less curry. But dipped in truffle aioli and spicy mayo made it very good. There were no vegetarian entrees (not even a token one) on the menu, but they did have a Mac and cheese side. I asked our waitress if I could get that as an entree and she was very sweet and confirmed with her manager and kitchen that this was possible. Well... the Mac and cheese had bacon in it... I was told that they don't put bacon in it usually, so I'm not entirely sure what happened. I had also ordered the house salad with a sun dried tomato vinaigrette and that was fine. Not bad, but nothing stellar either. They were nice enough to comp the mac and cheese (that was taken back after I had two bites) the salad, and the fries, which was very nice of them. They did also offer to make me something else, but again - a pretty limited vegetarian menu, so I declined. I did get the chocolate cake to go and it was very grainy. I love chocolate cake, I'll eat it in almost any form but this tasted stale and had such an odd texture. It reminded me of grocery store cake. Overall a disappointing meal and I won't be back willingly, but two stars for our stellar waitress who was clearly very sorry about the bacon and the flatbread that was very good!

I ordered the Famous Buttermilk Fried Chicken Salad. The buttermilk chicken was very good but I forgot how the buttermilk can make it taste a bit sour. The salad dressing, was delish! The deviled egg was unique in that it had a liquified flavor of some kind filled in each half an egg. The service is right. Not amazing but friendly enough. The setting is comfortable. I had the spicy chicken sandwich, which was good, but the truffle fries stole the show. We also had a cookie skillet for dessert which was over the top with Reese's added. Yum! We all enjoyed the food. The service though...yikes. I'm not sure if our server Jess was new or maybe just a bit spacey, but it was bad. To start, services was slooooow, and we were one of maybe 4-5 tables. It took a good 15 mins just for our drinks to arrive. Next, she never cleared a single plate or menu from the table the entire meal. And we had 2 apps, 7 entrees, and 2 desserts! And lastly, we had to ask for a box four separate times before we finally got one. We'd ask and then the next thing you know she is wiping a table, talking to a coworker, etc. It honestly was weird! My husband chose the Short Rib Stroganoff. This in his opinion, is one of the best entrees they serve up. We visited Nosh before a show at Steelhouse, because it was listed on the venue's website as a…read morerestaurant in close proximity. Unfortunately, it was not the best experience. First off, the interior is pretty cute, so I will give them that. But the feng shui of the inside was not super conducive to holding a large crowd of people. Random smattering of chairs in different heights and sizes, so it can be too small for a large group and too big for a couple. There were two big shows downtown, along with the CWS people in town, so it was crazy down there. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, they sort of looked around to see if there was a seat for us (what was the purpose of the reservation?). They first were going to seat us at a low set of arm chairs with a coffee table between them. Somewhere you'd like to sit and have a drink, not a full meal over a coffee table. So then they sat us at a gigantic eight-person high top table when there were only two of us - pretty awkward. We weren't really acknowledged for the first ten minutes or so, but as I said, they were very busy. Our server was great, though, once he got to us. We decided on a few things to eat as we ordered our drinks, knowing we were on a time crunch before the show. We started with the "Devils in Disguise" deviled eggs, and those came out pretty fast and were tasty, with a nice egg base and a candied type bacon on top. They were not too big of eggs, too, so not the type you have to unhinge your jaw to eat, which I appreciated. After the deviled eggs, everything slowed down immensely. Food was coming out around us, but not ours. Large groups who came after we had been there a while, and had ordered way more than us obviously, were getting their food before us. Entree-wise, my husband wanted to try the Prime Rib, as it was the special of the evening. But our server let him know that it was cooked a little over, but in his opinion was still good, so my husband took a chance. Well, let me tell you, it was NOT good. Very dry and almost inedible. The jus that came with it did help a tad bit, but not really actually. The potatoes that came on the side of it also were literally inedible. Burnt and oily and hard, we couldn't even chew them. I had two of the Bao Buns, the Bao Chika Wowza and the Shrimply Irresistible. They were each pretty good, but a little on the spendy side for how small they were. We let our server know about my husband's prime rib being gross, and they did offer to make him anything else he wanted, but we did not have time to wait any more (since the first things we ordered took forever to come out), so he declined, and they just took it off the bill. The decor is cute and our server was nice and doing everything he could to help the situation, but overall, we left still hungry to our concert and got takeout elsewhere when we got home.
