Its Best of Omaha award is well-deserved. I had the elk bolognese and it tasty, filling and just the right amount of everything. Would recommend to everyone. read more

Awesome new restaurant. Farm to table with a garden in the basement. Went with the family had quite. Few different bites. The mushroom toast and tar tare are amazing a close second is the Burratta and the pork buns. I had the fried chicken which had a a super crispy crust and creamy cheesey macaroni and cheese. My husband had the elk Bolognese which was not gamey but was tasty. The miso salmon was a bit salty but was balanced out with tart cherries. My dad and bro had the waygu with fried rice. But the bone marrow fried rice was the star of the show, overall a great meal and should be ranked on one of the best restaurants in Omaha read more

The food was excellent as was the service. From the moment I entered until I left I was treated very nicely. This is not always the case when you are a solo diner not drinking cocktails. The food was made with fresh ingredients; not just because they say it but because you could taste it. Superb! read more

TESSA was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She had great knowledge of the menu and gave us great recommendations on what to eat. It was delicious and Tessa made the dining experience very enjoyable read more

Part of a large group. The staff were fantastic and accomodationg to separate checks (big plus for that since we were all on expense accounts). It is in the "Old Market" which, without knowing the actual history, seems to be a gentrified area that kept cobble stone roads as a marketing concept. The food was decent (I had the caesar salad and fried chicken). The Caeser was unique (cherry tomatoes and bread crumbs), but was overall a decent salad. The fried chicken was good as well, but sitting on a bed of mac and cheese took away from the crispiness. The mac and cheese was fine. No real complaints and overall decent food. A little on the pricey side for what it was ($36). I'd go again, but probably not if I were paying. . . read more

Nicely located in the Heart of the Old Market, Omaha. Reasonably priced menu. We tried to go there after the Theater about 10 PM on a Friday, they were closed. They said they closed on weekends at 9_00; Went there later, about 6 PM, all tables filled, Sat at the bar, service not very good. You had to wait a pretty long time to get an order in, then after you finally were served, bar wait staff disappeared, and had to wait and wait, we don't know where they went, but did not acknowledge customers sitting at the bar. read more

Really great food with a low key ambience. We went during happy hour and ordered a few small plates which were larger portions than anticipated! We loved the fries, brussel sprouts, bone marrow fried rice and pork belly buns. Would recommend! read more

A friend and i went there this weekend and the atmosphere was great. We went below to do the essential selfie with the shrubbery. Its in the old market, so the feel is spot on and the wait staff were excellent. We ordered a couple of regulars drinks that were hard to screw up (crown and coke and Old fashioned), so nothing really to add there. The only take away from it being 5 star is the price point for the salmon at 35 bucks. I think it should have been more reasonable than that. That aside, its worth the visit. read more

Omaha was our stop on the way west. We love dining in the Market District and Gather is a hot spot. We ate at the bar and Bailey, the bartender, set the tone for a great night. She went above and beyond! As a vegan, I appreciate restaurants that serve up a few options so I can dine with my non-vegan friends and family. Gather has a few options in veggie side dishes, salads and even a vegan noodle dish. My suggestion would be to offer a vegan protein on the noodles like grilled tofu, edamame, chickpeas, or seitan. Add that and I rate a 5! read more

Gather is a nice new edition to the Omaha restaurant scene. Six of us came here for dinner. The service was pleasant and efficient. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and a robust charcuterie board. I ordered the salmon and it was very good. My husband got the veggie burger with a mountain of fries...literally a mountain, they were enough for the entire table. We ended the night with cheesecake and torte, both good. I will plan to return to this pleasant eatery. read more

Was there with my wife and nephew for dinner on Friday. Appetizers were good . Dinner took 75 minutes to get our entrees. Chicken was street food like . I ordered a glass of Shiraz got 3-4 tablespoons of the wine returned it back . Manager kept apologizing for the severe late service. Will not try it again. Thanks read more

My group and I ordered some of as good chunk of the menu to share. Everything was absolutely delicious. The standout for me was the fried rice. The service was absolutely top tier. Getting to visit the hydroponic garden in the basement was also pretty rad. We will be back. read more

I really like this restaurant. The people that work there are always very nice, it always seems clean, and the bowls are great!

Great service, cool decor, solid drinks, and one of the better fried chicken meals I've ever had! A+ would buy again.

The food was solid, cool atmosphere, and great service. I had the elk bolognese and the homemade blueberry cheesecake. Both were great choices! read more

Amazing food, friendly and lovely service. First meal in a while the entire family (4-43) loved their food! Indoor garden a great addition. So happy we went. read more

The food is a unique twist on things. I had the fried chicken with macaroni and cheese, and my husband had the elk bolognese. He loved his meal. Mine was very good. The chocolate torte we split at the end was fabulous... the best part. We visited the hydroponic farm in the basement, which is neat. Now for the cons... I made reservations a month ago and said it was a special occasion meal, and we still got what has to be the worst table in the place - across from the kitchen doors in the walkway between the front and back of the restaurant. I would never accept this table again. You will be constantly distracted by the staff working if you sit here, FYI. Also, our server was subpar. We ordered brussel sprouts as an app, and they never came. She never acknowledged that she forgot, either. She rarely checked on us, and when she did come by to take our dessert order, she was holding a stack of dirty dishes from another table (so unappealing). Now, we acknowledge that she had dirty dishes because they must be understaffed with bussers. However, the gentleman serving the next table over also bussed his own tables but still checked on his customers at least 3 times as much as our server. We'll chalk up the server experience to "luck of the draw" on who we got... same with the table location... and we will try Gather again in hopes for a 5 star experience next time. You should try it out! read more

arrived at 5:15 on a tuesday for happy hour! would definitely recommend a reservation, as by 6 the restaurant was filling quickly. we sat at the bar and had a couple cocktails (old fashioned, gimlet, tom collins) for $6 each, all fantastic and made so well. ordered the frites and bone marrow fried rice, both were delicious and generously sized for being a happy hour starter. i finished with the chocolate torte, perfect size for one person who didn't eat a lot, definitely a great dessert for two that did ! very nice and warm ambiance. we can't wait to come back for a "just because" dinner or a special occasion to try what's on the dinner menu!! read more

We made a reservation for 5:15pm the Friday of a huge tournament weekend. We were seated immediately and received our appetizer within five minutes of ordering. The food was delicious. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and flavorful and the salmon was cooked to perfection. The hydroponic garden below the restaurant provides fresh greens for the meals. We will be back! HIGHLY recommend!!! read more

From the time we walked in the front door we felt very taken care of. Service was fantastic, food was incredible and loved the sparkling rosé and Prosecco. Perfect spot on the patio for a summer evening in Omaha. read more

Great food and professional, attentive service. Warm atmosphere rounds off the experience. Will definitely be back.

Visited for the first time for the New Years prix fixe dinner - and absolutely loved every part of the experience. The food and drinks were fantastic- there was a tomato bisque that nearly caused me to lick the plate; the service was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overly present; and it was fun to see the fresh vertical gardens growing on the lower levels. We will be back! read more

The service was great. The atmosphere was great. Love the so concept of growing their own veggies for fresh food.

The food was excellent! Our server was wonderful, very attentive. The atmosphere was beautiful!

First, I want to commend the staff at this place. With so many restaurants being short staffed right now and not able to delivering very good service, that was NOT an issue at Gather. My husband and I brought our two kids, ages 7 and 8 with us. One of my kids says "all the food was delicious!" I agree. From the kids menu, one had chicken tenders and a great mac and cheese, and the other ordered steak and salad (also on the kids menu!) Usually it's hard to get them to eat everything, but here they practically licked their plates clean. The adults had pork buns, citrus and beet salad, bone marrow fried rice, and elk bolognese. Random plates but it was hard to choose so we shared it all. Everything was all so good and prepared perfectly. Dessert was pretty good too- we tried a few things and I liked the blueberry cheesecake the best. The server and manager checked on us frequently to make sure we were doing well and had what we needed. Great place to bring kids old enough to sit through a meal as it was packed and loud enough on a Saturday evening to drown out kid noise. We will be back when in Omaha again. read more

A new age dining experience. A variety of foods to satisfy the palate. Some customizable options. And some unique spins on traditional favorites, such as fried rice and fried chicken. First time here, and will most definitely be my last. NYE prefix menu, no problem..ill bite. If you have a prefix menu, everything should at least be STANDARD! Hot soup, salad WITH dressing, medium well=medium well..not blue. It took twice of my better half sending my soup back..not once..but twice to get HOT soup. After that her "medium rare" steak came out blue..to the tartar level...not amused for $85 per person. Wine was good though... read more

Waite staff is friendly and nice. Ambience is relaxing. Food quality is good but unremarkable and kind of bland.

Wowza Batman! This place is absolutely DELICIOUS. Went with a work friend and we shared Brussels, Caesar Salad and the truffle pasta with grilled chicken. Everything was outstanding. Spreading the word! Much luck for your success!!! read more

The food is fire, the basement is so sick! They are growing herbs in the basement and it is so cool to see in person ! Must vidit

This place is f*cln awesome. I brought a baddie here and ordered the mushroom toast and the bison steak and her p*ssy was dripping wet literally soaking through her jean shorts. We totally banged afterward. The garden downstairs is really cool. Great service. The waiter told me I looked like a movie star. He might have been flirting w me but who cares; I like to have a couple bud lights here and there anyways. Great view of old market. 4/5- hope this helps read more

Fantastic food and wonderful service! Make sure you walk downstairs to see the garden. Recommend making reservations.

Was a new place we saw when here walking through before a concert last week. Always enjoy fresh local foods and the unique twists to menu and Gather did not disappoint. I had the farro fig salad (wonderful blend of flavors and textures) and the scallops (they were huge!) Hubby had Elk. He likes meat and pasta dishes so good choice. Had the chocolate mousse tort for dessert! All very good. Our server, Grace, did an excellent job describing the dishes (and pics on Yelp helped a lot!) and wines. Enjoyed our meal on a nice evening on back patio! read more

This was such a nice place! Very modern. Plus, it was really cool to see the vertical farm below the building. Food was great!

My husband and I are from out of town. We had planned on a nice dinner for our last night in town and spent a really long time trying to find the right place to go since.... we have no idea what the good restaurants are so we just trust the reviews of the people lol. We made reservations, got there on time, were sat down right way. Then we waited. And waited. People cleared out, there were like... maybe three other tables left in our section, and there wasn't a server in sight. We sat there for quite a while waiting for at least water, but eventually gave up when there was not a soul in sight but the guy busing a table in our section. So we walked out and now we have to go back to our hotel empty handed and not having eaten dinner because everywhere else is either completely full or closed, considering it's a super busy Memorial Day weekend. So no, I absolutely would not recommend this place. Pretty much ruined our dinner plans real quick. Thanks guys. read more
