Date: 9/19/2024 Time: 3:40 PM 64° Sunny Gate 6 Garden opened about two weeks ago. I was next door at the post office delivering a piece of mail. I decided to stop in for a liquid enjoyment. The menu is limited to three refreshers and two matcha beverages. I ordered the after school refresher. Indeed it is refreshing and quite delicious. It consists of calamansi juice topped with butterfly pea tea. Wow! I love it - my school colors, purple and gold. Nice! Customer service is excellent, attentive and friendly. Seating is limited to four highback chairs next to the long counter. I asked an employee whether they will have artwork on the wall. Yes, they will in the future. Artwork definitely will liven up this venue. Ambiance is comfortable and casual. Cost of beverage is $6.04 (excluding a $1.00 tip). Hopefully, they will have more seatings and more selections of beverages and food in the future.

I've had Gate 6 Garden twice now. The service is good. The barista was very pleasant both times and knows how to make a good, delicious and aesthetically pleasing drink! I love that they utilize the best equipment to make the drinks. I do wish that the menu was more extensive and that there would be louder music or a tv or so inside the business. I can literally hear my thoughts in there. There is bar top seating and 4 chairs, but it's just not the vibe for me to sit down and relax bc it's TOO quiet (if that makes sense?) Now the drinks. I've tried the following: - After Sunset: SOOOOOO refreshing and aesthetically pleasing. Double win on a hot day! - Matcha Latte: matcha was made the traditional way so A+ for that. A little heavy on the oat milk for mine, but overall, pretty delicious Not sure if there is a bathroom available for customers but will check the next time I go and update my review

Stopped by this cute cafe after a stroll along the crab cove area. Tried the matcha calamansi and choco banana. The matcha calamansi was very refreshing, and the choco banana wasn't too sweet - it was a nice blend and the banana wasn't too overpowering. The service was very friendly and the owner (I think) came by to check in on the drinks were going for us. The space is well decorated with cute furniture. They are dog friendly which is awesome since many cafes aren't. Would come again!

A friend recommended this spot and it's so delicious! I ordered the Matcha Calamansi. Delicious and super refreshing. It's literally pure matcha poured over calamansi juice. Not too sweet either. Super quick service. Drinks are made to order, so it was roughly about a 5 min wait. There were a couple folks ahead of us. Highly recommended! If I'm in the area again, I will definitely stop by again to try their other drinks on the menu.

A fantastic addition to Webster. We can't wait to come back and see what they add to their menu. We got the Sampalok with the calamansi juice on a cold evening stroll last week and it was somehow refreshing like a cold drink on a summer day. We also got their coffee biscoff drink that we finished in a few minutes. So good!

This place is very aesthetic and the coffee hits hard. I got a matcha latte -- it was a mild sweetness with a strong uji matcha flavor. My girl got a hot Biscoff latte, which was perfect for the rainy weather that day. Shout out to Earvin for making our drinks with precision and passion, please support him and his team in Alameda! You won't regret their specialty coffees.

Had the chance to go to their menu tasting back in December for their Filipino/Latin-inspired shop that will be opening in Alameda (TBD on opening date but sounds like currently doing popups only for now)! . Gate 6 Garden has a very earthy and cozy vibe with a great menu that (so far) has a wide range of drinks etc that make you reminisce a childhood in Filipino/Latin culture. Out of the fruity ones during the menu tasting, they all tasted unique to me but the Mango Hibiscus Yakult was my fave with all the fresh mango in it. The Ceremonial Matcha by itself had no bitterness to it, and the owners sorted through many kinds to find the best one to use for their shop.

    Great ambience & drinks

I love this place - my new go to spot for drinks and studying!! Discovered this place through Yelp & was initially captivated by their drinks & ambience. As soon as I set foot in this place, they exceeded all expectations. Customer service was amazing, they were so accommodating & patient with my order (since it was my first time there, I was having trouble deciding on what to order). I ended up ordering the Matcha Calamansi, & oh boy - it was so delicious & refreshing! Highly recommend. I look forward to coming back & trying out the rest of their menu :) Truly a hidden gem!

Stumbled upon this place on a whim and glad we did! We ordered the matcha latte and it was so good -- this is coming from someone who doesn't love matcha but I am now a fan and will continue to come back here to try the rest of their menu. The worker was really friendly and told us that they've been open for about 3 weeks and still in the process of furnishing the place but I think it's already cozy and in a great location. He said the most popular a favorite drink is "The Afterschool" which I need to try next time. I highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a nice refresher or a matcha latte!

Oh my God. Just found this place on UberEats. How have I never seen this place before. We're visiting from Socal and wanted something to drink that wasn't Coffee or Tea. We were not disappointed. The "Golden Nectar" drink has sugar cane in it and is unbelievably good. The After School" butterfly drink has got the right amount of citrus and sweet. My new favorite spot in Alameda when we come to visit.

New tasty drink show next to the post office. I got the Sampalok and it's very delicious and refreshing. Can't wait to try all the other drinks they have. Great quick and friendly service

Gate 6 achieves what many other cafes fail to, it captures an authentic and refreshing taste whilst satisfying my sweet tooth! a friend of mine purchased the iced matcha latte and whilst i'm not usually a fan of matcha, i tried it and again was quite smooth and very nice to drink. Hands down would love to buy these two again or even try more of the menu! Gate 6 Garden has found a new and happy customer

Choco banana and biscoff. Both one of the best we've had for these varieties.

The only option is street parking, so finding a good spot can be difficult. It is an extremely popular spot, so I'd advise making your reservation weeks ahead of time. Once you're inside, though, it's a great experience. Though gu the shop is small and the tables a bit crowded together, the atmosphere is lovely. The decor is tastefully quaint, and the space is clean and well-lit. The tea service itself is lovely as well. The full tea service, which runs each person $48, includes your pick from a very large variety of teas and sandwiches, including a couple vegetarian options, though I wouldn't call the overall menu vegetarian-friendly. Each table also comes with a little container of sugar cubes and creamer for their tea. This far, all of the sandwiches and teas that I have tried are very good. Each patron gets their own pot of tea instead of one shared pot for the table, which I love. Each set also comes with a scone with clotted cream and jam, a potato canape, and a selection of small desserts. It was more than enough to satisfy me. I really love that they offer both traditional British flavors as well as unique Malaysian flavors in their menu. The desserts also change from time to time, so every experience can feel a little special and new. It gives this spot a unique feel that I haven't yet found elsewhere. Overall, the experience was very positive and I absolutely do recommend it to anyone who has the time and interest. Though $48 is definitely not cheap on the surface, I feel that the unique menu, quantity of food and drink, and general enjoyability of the experience make the price worth it.

Even though there was a sign mentioning that it was a small space and asking guests to keep the volume down, that didn't really happen. One of the other parties was an intimate baby shower. My friends and I weren't exactly quiet either, but I think it was because the whole room was fairly lively. There were so many different kinds of tea to choose from. There were six of us, and we all ordered different flavors so we could sample each other's teas. The sandwich selection was also impressive, and our tea towers included a variety of small desserts that were all delicious as well. I chose the Smoked Salmon & Chive Cream Cheese, Cucumber & Dill Cream Cheese, and Coconut Jam (Kaya) with sliced cold butter. The Kaya sandwich was easily my favorite. The desserts were a wonderful addition to the experience, and everyone at the table enjoyed them. I was torn between ordering the Peaches & Cream Black Tea and a green tea. I ended up choosing the Genmaicha with Coconut, and it was delicious. If I come back, I'd definitely like to try the Peaches & Cream Black Tea. As a group, we all agreed that the Kaya sandwich was the standout item. We did have a small hiccup at the beginning because two of our tea orders arrived without tea bags--basically just hot water! We all had a good laugh about it. They were busy, and mistakes happen. The staff was very apologetic and corrected it right away. They even offered us two extra sandwich orders, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a good experience, and I enjoyed my first tea party. However, I do feel that this venue is better suited for a calmer, more intimate gathering, such as a bridal shower or a quiet afternoon tea with close friends. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Anytime someone rang the bell, they came to the table almost immediately. If you're looking for a relaxing tea experience with a small group, this is definitely a place worth trying. For my group of friends, we're a little louder and more energetic, so it almost felt like we were too much for such a peaceful setting. Still, we had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and cozy tea house
