I have loved this local business for a long time. It is really a lovely atmosphere. I really like how chill it is in here. The music isn't too loud (please god more places need to turn their music down). Loved my mocha! It wasn't too sweet, and they have great prices here. Honestly, this place is excellent for studying or relaxing and having your morning coffee. I recommend it!

Came across this cafe by accident but really left an impression on me. Though their interior was limited due to COVID, it reminded of a casual cafe to work or read a book or something. Ive only been there twice but I went twice in the same week which I think is a good sign. Ive tried their cold brew and their Earl Grey-lavender iced tea. What I enjoyed most was that their coffee was flavorful but DID NOT leave that thick residue feeling on your tongue after drinking. Their tea is comparable because the taste was excellent and not over-brewed. The tea came unsweetened but they offer bagged sugars or syrup. They have hand sanitizer available when walking in which is nice. All employees where face masks as well. They do have outdoor seating which is nice if you want to catch some sun rays, its available.

The store is tucked away on the corner of 38th Ave under a different name (The King's Coffee Shop - not sure if this had any historical significance to donut savant) so it was a bit confusing. The inside is quite minimalist with little decor with a few seats and merch surrounding the very nicely arranged trays of pastries. It was remarkably clean which was something that stood out immediately. The prices are very reasonable, with the store opting for smaller mini-sized donuts at $1/$2 a pop with full-sized versions of each offering around $3/$4 a piece. We went with a few items: the apple fritter, maple glazed cron't, lemon curd, cinnamon roll, and chocolate cron't. Unfortunately we went closer to closing and therefore basically all of the filled donuts were gone for the day. All the donuts were generously glazed and well balanced in their sweetness. It was my first time getting my hands on an apple fritter and it was really good - not as apple-heavy as I had always imagined it to be. Cinnamon roll and chocolate cron't were both good as well - would recommend the chocolate for folks who tend towards more dark chocolate, as it had some good bitter notes to it and works well with a croissant consistency. My favorite had to be the maple glazed cron't - super classic flavor and slightly fluffier than the chocolate cron't that blended that crispiness of the croissant and the fluffiness of a true donut. Overall a super affordable place during a time of insane inflation that doesn't compromise on quality and flavor. Definitely needed this sweet treat and will be coming back for more soon!

We went mainly for drinks and tried a latte, tiramisu latte, and a Spanish latte. The tiramisu latte and Spanish latte were both really good and definitely my favorites. It comes unsweetened, so I asked for it to be sweetened and it was great after that. The vanilla matcha was fine too, just not my top pick. They're also dropping a new Ramadan drink soon, a date latte, which sounds really good and I'll probably come back just to try that. Overall, great drinks and a nice place to hang out.

I undetstand they are an acquired taste but me being Middle Eastern we have our own versions and I think that's why I didn't like as much. I would definitely go back and try more sweet pastries. They had a large selection I couldn't try them all haha. I would love to try more tea and coffee options as well. Go and try out several different pastries and discover what you like. It's cheaper than buying an airplane ticket to try another countries culture and delights. They also have outside seating which is especially nice on a beautiful day. Pro tip: take an Uber if you can. Parking is hard to get.

They had a nice selection of pastries, ultimately I chose a danish because I love them. This one did not disappoint. It was tender and flaky and went perfectly dipped in my chai. If ever, we are in the area again, I will definitely pay another visit. It was nice to step into a local place that wasn't a chain. I think the quality of staff and consumable offerings was just so much better than you would find at one of the other places.
