We stopped in fully intending to purchase a cantilever umbrella and patio furniture. We purchased our pool from another Gary's location last summer. First, we had to ask a young lady, ignoring us, on her computer, for help. That young lady attending to us couldn't answer many questions about operating the umbrella. While attempting to help in our purchase, she walked away to ask another customer what they needed -and never returned! Every other salesperson was busy. Then that same young lady that was attending to us, we saw her with a third customer. Why hadn't she come back to complete the sale? We had limited time before another appointment and had already visited the Gary's location nearest to our home (sales rep there said he knew nothing about umbrellas). We drove to this location for the larger selection, fulling intending to purchase, at the very least, an umbrella. $450 - NOT SPENT! Will we go back? Should we? Would there be any sales people to help us spend our hard earned cash? What's wrong with a company that has great inventory but refuses to train it's sales staff? The older guy with the brown hair. Is very rude . I asked him if he had a rubber seal and a new cap for my pump. I told him I had a Hayward pump. He tells me this is in Hayward somebody got you I've been dealing with this for 30 years. Copying an attitude . See this owner doesn't work this ordering doesn't work somebody got you. The owner Kurt was very rude and hostile towards me. When I tried asking for help he did was not very professional and started yelling in my face. When I asked him to explain something to me with further details he continued to yell, refused to explain, and just said "he was a pool specialist" then walked away. He continued to help other customers never coming back to assist me. Later when I was trying to leave the store he aggressively bumped into my side and I use a cane to walk. read more

Apparently any warranty you get on products purchased at Gary's are subject to the owner's discretion on whether the warranty is valid. Purchased a winter cover last year, actually 8 months ago, used it ONE winter and it basically disintegrated/tore where the bubble was in the middle of the pool. There is a 2 year full replacement warranty on the cover, but the owner would not even consider replacing it because he stated it wasn't a manufacturer defect, stating that would include seams, eyelets and such. He wouldn't even consider the fact that the material itself was defective. We've had a pool for over 30 yrs and never had a cover do this year 1. As the owner rudely stated "this is HIS final decision and will not cover any portion of this warranty". Will never shop Gary's Pools again. read more

Bought a pool last year and not happy with the service I got. The communication was bad , didn't get the service and support I was promised. It started with the delivery and went on from there. I was left to my own devices to get it running. I would not recommend them at all. read more

This Place sucks. I bought a pool and used their recommended installers. They destroyed the yard, charged 2 times what they quoted and put a hole in the liner. When they took out the liner to replace, after a big argument they said they had to wait as they did not drain it all the way and it was too wet. We had a windstorm and the pool blew over destroying it. The installer had no insurance and would not replace anything. Poolmart would do nothing at all and still uses this installer. I Had to use home owners insurance to get a new pool. Needless to say I went to poolmart and they were great! This place sucks! read more

Went there over the weekend with a coupon that was on facebook last year. Coupon states in bold letters, "Coupon NEVER expires" but that manager refused to take it. He also told me if I didn't like it to "call an attorney, I look forward to it!" My total bill was for $90 and the coupon was only for 10% off. I left the store without purchasing anything. Guess he would rather loose a $90 sale than give the discount I usually spend average $500/yr there on my pool supplies but I will never be going there again! Purchased what is suppose to be top of the line 24" round pool. We noticed rust 4th year and no one answers phones and thought it was due to NY pandemic pause. Problem is worse the 5th year on pool, same thing no answers. Finally, someone answers and gives us an email. Email Curt w/the details and pics and no response back. Over a month later do almost a 3 hour round trip drive to say he never knew anything about it and the email address is correct, He never received the email he says. When shown the pics he blamed us. Excuses were PH balance, neglect, leaks, lack of experience. We informed him we been doing this almost forty years and never any issues like this even with the leaks. All of our pool friends never had these experiences w/there pool wall rusting out. This pool replaced almost a 25 year pool that needed a liner and new top rail resin caps and possible rails for the wall, we thought it would be more cost efficient to replace. Had an older filter that started to leak. I called and the girl who answered was very short and stated they carried parts for the filter I had. When I came to the store and waited in line she just gestures that I need to go back to the parts dept. when I went there the guy barely looked up. He said let me see the top of the filter piece, I showed him and he said nope we can't fix that and went back to his business. Looks like back to Pool Mart where they are always friendly and take care of a customer or suggest a solution if they don't have one! read more

Very unorganized here, bad customer service. Bought a pool here about two months ago and already having problems. My neighbor bought a pool there the same time and the wrong pool was delivered and installed. I highly recommend that you do not come to this location. read more
