Whatever the case - if you are a local or in the area for summer - when that ever arrives - check this place out because it's not just lumber at Smith's. The place has a huge selection from hot tub supplies to that little something special for the lawn tractor! Every time my wife and I go into this place - well - it amazes us! There is new items that arrive throughout the year and this is the one place in town that actually has something for every season. You will find some of the friendliest staff inside or across the street when you actually go there for lumber. Oh yeah - they have the best wood pellets, a few tools and YES FREE popcorn! Folks it doesn't get any better then this. Well - with one exception - with all this greatness - they accept credit cards for a reason - the prices are not Walmart, but then again - it's better that way. Checks and Cash always welcome and they have plenty of parking - it's FREE too! The only reason they don't get 5 stars out of me is because of the slightly higher then I'd like prices!

Ok, so I've been itching to get our family out to a cut-your-own tree farm for YEARS. We usually go to a nursery, which is fine, but I just want that farm experience, you know? (Maybe I'm just cut from a different cloth. But hey, here we are.) My dad actually found out about this place, and we decided to give it a whirl. We've really been looking more fun/outdoor activities to do since the pandemic, so it seemed now they were a little bit more inclined to dive in and check out a cut-your-own farm. It was fairly busy when we pulled up, but there's enough land to keep yourself socially distant! I'm pretty sure this place is a little family-owned spot, but there were plenty of people around willing to give us a little bit of guidance being our first time. We were given a general idea of what kinds of trees we'd be able to find on the farm, where we could find them, and they provided plenty of tools for us to use if we'd like to (a pole to measure tree height, saw to cut it ourselves if we'd like, etc). We actually chickened out last minute and had some of the staff help us take down a tree we'd picked out, but it's cool! They handle everything for you if you'd like, cutting and carrying the tree, wrapping it up, helping attach it to the car. Trees here were only $45, no matter what size. That's right. Big trees. Little trees. Doesn't matter. And these aren't some poor looking trees, either. Thick, full, and healthy as heck, because they're growing right out of the ground! Ok, the tree we picked out ended up being a *little* bit crooked, but it's possibly the best tree we've ever owned. I know for a FACT we will be returning to this farm to pick out our Christmas tree next year. Maybe even for the years to come! We really enjoyed our time here and I'd totally recommend this spot to anyone who's looking for some wintertime agritourism.

I checked Home Depot, Lowe's Wayfair, Amazon, local builders, Craigslist... lots of places. I talked to many people, read tons of reviews and then was even more confused about what makes a great, long lasting, well built, good looking shed... On Craigslist, I happened upon an nondescript ad that I checked out, just as I had many others. I was VERY pleasantly surprised at the quick response to my gazillion (really) questions. Patient and thorough answers, photos of not only the shed in question, which happened to be already built, but also offers to customize different sizes if necessary, photos of insides and outside, roof shots, moving shots so I could determine if it could be delivered. They were concerned with helping me get the right product. Obviously, they need to make a living, but they were not trying to make their whole week's salary from my one purchase. I have since recommended them to anyone who talks to me about getting a shed, given out their contact info as well. the delivery process took maybe a half hour, but probably less. I already had a concrete pad where a garage had been removed, so I only had to make sure it was swept of debris. If you want a seamless, professionally built Amish shed, these are the folks to contact. the sheds come primed and ready to paint the colors you prefer. My attached photos are before I apply my paint. This is an 8' X 10' better quality shed. I did purchase their "better quality" shed so that my maintenance requirements are minimal. They said that even their regular/good quality would just need painting every few years to last many, many years. The better quality sheds only need painting every 10- 15 years. I don't know if that claim is true, but everything else they told me took place just as described, so I am choosing to believe this as well. I recommend doing business with this company. They are not the actual builders, but they have a relationship with the builders and will customize orders for whatever your needs are. Then they will use this ingenious machine and trailer to professionally deliver!!
