Michael was very responsive, gave me same-day service at no extra charge, and even picked up and dropped off my knives for an extra $20! My dull knives were sharper than they've ever been in less than a day for a lot less money than I would have spent shipping them off. Michael does the work himself and took time to explain the different sharpening methods he would use based on the steel composition and degree of my blades. He's highly professional, considerate, and fairly priced. It's unusual to find someone that takes such great care. Do yourself and your kitchen a favor and give Michael a call!

I texted them what I needed and if they had same-day appointments, which I was able to schedule within the hour much to my delight. They sent me their prices and confirmed how much I would be charged. They shared with me their address and drop off location as there's no where to wait. I drove to a local coffee shop nearby to wait. From drop-off to when I received their text to say they were finished took about 30 min. Pretty darn fast. They sent me payment details and reconfirmed how much I owed. I drove back, picked up my hatchet, Venmo'd them, and that was it. I'm glad that they're located in north Austin and not too far of a drive from where I live. I took off two stars due to quality concerns. Although the edge of the blade is sharp, they didn't sharpen the edge into a convex edge or at least ask if they should sharpen the edge that way. My axe had never been sharpened before but a convex edge would have been most appropriate for my use case. They also didn't sharpen the entire blade. From my pictures, you can see that they missed the top corner of the blade (rounded). You can also tell that the edge isn't centered. The axe was bought this way, but I expected Seriously Fast Sharpening to center it or at least make mention of it. All in all, a 3-star experience. I appreciated their promptness and quick communication, but I expected more in terms of craftsmanship quality. I may try them again for some smaller blades in the future.

They sharpened our 6 favorite knives within 1hr and they were done perfectly. I don't know if this is good or bad (ironically, it's good thing!) but my dad was cutting potatoes and knicked himself slightly and bled. This guy knows what he is doing. If you want sharp, you will get sharp! The other thing that stands out is that I delivered the knives loosely and when he returned them to us, he had them wrapped neatly in newspaper and taped nice and clean. He understands safety first. This company knows what they are doing. Lastly, my mother cut a loaf of bread with her newly sharpened knife and she said it sliced through entire loaf with one swift motion.. like butter. My mother is 79yr old. Even she said she was impressed.

I called Kerry at 5:30 on a Friday night with a non-starting generator - I had used it once 4 years…read moreago and failed to prep it for storage, so the gas had turned to gunk. This was 2 days ahead of an ice storm bearing down on Austin. He told me to bring the generator over that night, I dropped it off at 6:30pm He texted me at 8:30pm, he'd cleaned the gas tank, fixed a leaking fuel valve and cleaned the carburetor, he offered that I could come get it that night, but I was already in for the night. I picked it up Saturday morning. He charged me $80 for the parts and labor, more than reasonable and the urgency with which he responded was unbeatable. Kerry is proof that high quality service for a fair price is alive and well in America. His place is off the main path a bit, but worth the drive.

Well now I know why they have such a bad review here. I have gotten work from them before and I…read moreguess I got to give them credit for fixing an item but you are only as good as your experiences and so my second time here to come and pick up an item, I waited 10 minutes until I just walked out. I walked in to pick up an item that they called me and told me it is ready. I walk in and a guy had just jumped out of his truck right before me so unfortunately he gets to be first, the guy at the counter says I'll be with you while he's working with someone else, because of smartphones yes I can let the 8 minutes, the 9 minutes past and then I look down and realize I am at 10 minutes plus. Now they didn't say anything to me during that time, like hey another minute. So I left and I will come back and pick up my chainsaw but this is ridiculous. Here's what you got to do when it comes to customer service if you guys really care about your Google and your Yelp review rating, if the customer you are helping has taken 10 minutes and you think that it is going to take longer, address me and find out what it is that I need perhaps mine will take 30 seconds, take the $18 that I owe you, give me my chainsaw and get me out of there. Focusing in on just the one customer in front of you allows this review, allows my situation to happen. I did hear other people in the back and the guy at front at a minimum should have called for help. I've worked across different industries and customer service has been included in that I can tell you if you told a customer who saw me waiting for 10 minutes behind them, give me a couple seconds to get this guy out of here and then we will finish with you especially since it looks like yours may take another 10 or 15 minutes. That did not happen, no I don't want to talk to a manager you guys don't have to try to reach out to me after the fact, you already know that your Yelp rating is a one star I'm pretty sure you should work to improve that and this kind of thing would not happen.
