I am grateful and thankful for them in the middle of Midtown surrounded by burgers and pizza places! Large space with outdoor patio seating, larger dining area, equivalent spacing at the bar and even a take out station with separate entrance and exit! Now let's be honest, every place is understaffed so people will need to be patient and understanding to a new location... secondly, staff are thrilled you're there, just be kind. Third, it's always a work in progress. My recommendation is to sit in the bar bc believe it or not, it's a lot quieter than the dining room- probably less concrete walls? However, the food is delicious, a little pricey, but this is elevated green food, not fast food. I had no issues except my quiche perfectly separated in half and that sorta bothered me- probably over cooked since it was hard, however, everything else was delicious, I've already returned and plant o order that Rachel salad every time! I love this place for brunch! Has a chic and energetic vibe. The food and drinks are creative and delicious! My favorites are the b&g (biscuits and gravy) and the teddy graham which I've ordered several times now. They also have fresh juice and cocktails, although I've never tried them. Keep in mind this place is VERY busy in the weekends, and you will likely have to wait a while for food. I recommend you make a reservation to avoid waiting for a table. My mom, sister, and I came here at noon for lunch. We ordered cocktails - espresso martini, aperol sprit, and the lush martini - at the bar while we waited for our table. The bartender was so busy, but he was quick and very friendly. For lunch, we started with the garden toast. It was good, but I probably wouldn't order it again. The chicken salad sandwich was absolutely delicious....one of the best chicken salads I have had. Kept it simple and clean, served with lightly dressed arugula. The famous salad was good. She also mentioned that they were surprised by the uptick in business over Memorial Day weekend which also coincided with the Indy 500, a Pacer playoff game, and a Fever game - wow. I ordered an iced chai latte and it was exactly what I was craving. I ordered the kale salad and it was very good! I got the ginger dressing on the side and I'm glad I did because it's very gingery so I'm glad I was able to control how much of it I used on my salad. I ordered the Rachael with Friends salad and the sweet potato and brussel sprout hash. Both were phenomenal! The Rachael with Friends salad contained quinoa, bean sprouts, chickpeas, and red onion. It was very fresh, very healthy, and tasted wonderful! The sweet potato and brussel sprout hash was very fresh and healthy as well. I do plan on going to The Garden Table Carmel in the near future, because I would like to see the actual venue myself and see what the customer service looks like, which I'm sure is excellent. My first visit to this location was a just ok visit. To order a salad with no addtl protein and a shareable appetizer of deep fried olives which were supposed to be castelvetrano variety appeared to be regular small olives as they were more oval than round for $30 is crazy expensive (excluding tip). The appetizer is a shareable size so I would suggest they consider offering 2 sizes/prices, if eating for one, otherwise it's a lot of fried olives to consume. This was my first try on fired olives and it didn't leave me wanting them again. The salad was just ok as well. It came with a bit of avocado, s I'm me bacon lots of cherry tomatoes yellow and red some supposed mixed greens which looked pretty much like endive and that's it, sunflower seeds (egg and cheese which I opted out of due to food allergies). The dressing was not all that flavorful. Although the food was fresh and looked good, it did not meet my expectations. Our server Chuck was friendly and accommodating. The decor and design is great and they have ample seating. They do have a coffee bar available that's connected but also has a separate entrance. From the hostess and server to the bartender, all were happy and friendly which is nice! I think I expected something different after having a meal at the Mass Ave location which I really enjoyed. Much better than I thought since on baguette which was delicious and soft. Another ordered avocado toast but has hidden fennel seeds in it and she was not fan. Others split quiche and "blueberry pancakes". No flavor to quiche and pancakes were thick which he told us but more like non sweet coffee cake or corn bread:(. Everyone liked coffee and chai. Too many breakfast places around for me to repeat this one. Of note places filled up with a lot of women with small children. So be prepared for crying kiddos. read more

My mother had just passed away and my partner was looking for a nice place to take me out for brunch to help cheer me up. We decided to check out this new location. Upon arriving the two hostesses working that day were very friendly and helpful. But that's honestly where the customer service kind of stopped. It took a little bit for our server to greet us. And then took a bit longer for order drinks to be ordered. We had a few questions on the menu that were asked and she appeared to be slightly annoyed by our questions which is never good sign. The food came out pretty quickly, but sadly that's all the positive I can share about it. Their menu reads nicely, but execution totally misses the map. My partner ordered their chilaquiles and it was quite drowning in excess liquid from their salsa. Chilaquiles should have crisp tortillas and the salsa should nicely coat the chips, not be soggy by the time it gets to the table. It honestly turned into a pile of mush before he had a couple of bites down. Tried to push through by draining the excess liquids onto a different plate, but it was all soggy so there was no fixing that. I ordered their Garden Benedict which again read okay, but came out slightly underwhelmed. The best part of the dish was the Amelia's bread they use. Outside of that it was basically an avocado toast (not much seasoning) with a little hollandaise sauce and a small sprinkle of limp micro greens. I'm not quite sure where the garden part of the benedict was to be honest. There are a few more things I could share, but I think this is enough. I really hope to see this place set their staff up for success a bit more before I will think about trying them again. read more

Ate at garden table last night. Great location, service, prices, and a wide variety on the menu. The ambiance is also very cute and photo-worthy. Thursdays are half-off bottles of wine, though we didn't partake, it's a perk! We ordered the burrata appetizer and it was very good. Perfect size for a table of four. As an entree, I ordered the pork ribeye and it was by far the saltiest meal I've ever eaten. I'm not sure if it was the red wine mushroom demi-glace or what, but the meat and glace were heavily salted/seasoned. The asparagus and mashed potatoes were okay, but I was super disappointed with the pork. Everyone else enjoyed their meal so I should've just stuck to pasta or something more simple. We didn't realize the restaurant closed at 9 and we (along with 3-4 other tables) were eventually asked to leave and go next door to Social Cantina. I'd recommend staying open a tad later, especially when there are multiple tables still seated. read more

I LOVE the other locations of Garden Table so was excited to learn there is now a Carmel location. I visited the week in between Christmas and New Years and thought it might be busy with people off work/school but it was almost empty at brunch time and I walked right in without a reservation. It honestly looked a bit still under construction from the side and one of the patio windows was open so I wasn't sure if anyone was working. I had to wait a while to check in and be seated which definitely added to the "maybe still under construction" vibe. Food was good. As is consistent with their brand, I always feel it's a bit more expensive than it's worth, but it's good stuff. I've really enjoyed brunch at their other locations, and was excited to see a dinner menu offered at the new Carmel location. Garden Table is an absolute Indy brunch staple, so I had to try the new Carmel location. Before we get to the actual eats, the styling of this spot is gorgeous. You can tell there was thought put into the finishes and fixtures. I can't wait for summer patio weather! The menu is full of elevated brunch food with very fresh ingredients. Another thing I love is that the portions are generous without being overwhelming. I also get a Lush juice Mimosa, it's a must for a place that has fresh pressed juice. Had a delicious dinner here while visiting a friend in Carmel! The restaurant itself if beautiful, and the food was fantastic. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the cocktail I ordered - P!nk's Government Name - because of how strong it was. Otherwise, we started with whipped feta as an app which is a must try! After being seated at our table for 10 minutes we finally had someone bring us water, it was another 10 minutes until our waiter came to take our order. We asked the waiter if it was possible to substitute regular sausage for chorizo sausage in my daughter's burrito and he looked at his tablet and said no, it wasn't an option.
