Cute little pastry shop open all day. I'm a sucker for a good chocolate croissant so I got the chocolate chip croissant. ( ask for it warmed up, it's especially nice if it's a chillier day). There was plenty of seating on a Thursday early evening. It also looks like they offer take out. The croissant was definitely like if a croissant and a chocolate chip cookie had a baby. It has the look of a croissant but almost the texture and consistency of a chocolate chip cookie. It was a little bit hard but not sure if it's just because it's the end of the day. They also sell lattes, they looked delicious, I'll def wanna try one next time. Looks like a good place if you wanna get some work done or just have a chill day. They also sell a variety of items like sourdough bread making kit and Mac and cheese boxes. I love the art on the wall as well. One of my favorite touches was the bathroom, so aesthetically pleasing, I had to go back a second time to make sure I could share some footage of it! read more

I stumbled upon this cute cafe while walking in the neighborhood. I was drawn to their selection of vegan sandwiches. I had a lemonade and an Italian hero. The food took a while to come out in an empty cafe but it was delicious. The cashiers were friendly. There are a lot of options to choose from. The cafe is nicely decorated and peaceful. I love their food. Specifically the steak sandwich, which is tender and marinated to perfection. I've only ordered delivery so I can't speak for the service or the ambiance. HOWEVER, I ordered their cheesecake slice for the first time and it was the TINIEST sliver of a slice for almost $7!!! A normal slice would be twice as big as this one. That's incredibly expensive for what amounts to a couple of bites of cake. I'm adding a picture to show how egregiously tiny this slice of cake was. At its widest point it was 1 inch. I went to a friend's house one day, and she had charcuterie from Garden Carver, which made me want to try it. The spot is small and very cute / quaint. There is a good amount of seating. It's order at the counter. Service is fine. I tried the Italian Hero (smokehouse roast "beef," mesquite "turkey," provolone, lettuce, tomato Italian dressing, spicy mayo) (4.5/5). It was really good, a really nice vegan sandwich. I also got a hot cocoa, which was good as well. There are tons of other things on the menu that I would love to try, so I will definitely return. read more

Cozy cafe in Williamsburg with a completely vegan menu! I love the convenience of being at a vegan cafe and not worrying about whether a sauce contains dairy or what the upcharge will be for nondairy milk. Service was super friendly, the woman working the counter seemed new & very eager to help. The baked goods case was full, plenty of vegan baked goods from cookies to croissants. The cappuccino was solid, and I appreciated that they had soy milk as an option as that's been a rarity nowadays. I got the grilled chicken caesar wrap and had no complaints, it tasted like the Daring vegan chicken with romaine and some crispy onions. Lettuce was crisp, salad was dressed just right, and the wrap itself had a nice grill on it. The entire menu was enticing to me with lots of options, and it's great quality for what you'd find at a coffee shop, but don't think it'd be fair to compare the food here to that of a proper restaurant. I went on a Monday morning and it was pretty quiet, I was able to pull out my laptop and get some work done with the wifi. About eight tables total inside with a few more outside, most of are small ones for 1-2 people. I've been by on weekends and it seems quite a bit busier, maybe less of a work vibe then. read more

Great vegan eatery and bakery. Ran across it by accident but looks like it's quickly turning into a neighborhood staple. Lots of vegan baked good like croissants and muffins. They're known for their vegan takes on typically meaty sandwiches, ala heros and meatball parms. I didn't get a chance to try those yet, but had their brussels sprouts, which are excellent and generously portioned, and an almond cappuccino. The Mac and cheese lived up to the hype and so did the chicken Caesar wrap. The Mac and cheese could have been heavier on the bread crumbs and the wrap could have used more Caesar. Maybe that's just me, but this certainly won't stop me from ordering again. They offer coffee, desserts, delicious pantry items that are heavenly for your cheeze board cravings. I tried the chicken Cesar salad, Mac and cheese(cashew cheese), the steak sandwich and the meatball sub I was really hungry and wanted to try all the options which me and my friends all split and stayed stuffed! The outdoor seating was beautiful it was too cold to hang outside but in the spring summer I can only imagine how lovely it is. This is a cute little shop that has both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff member was nice but it would be helpful if they had some type of bell or something when the staff are in the back just so they know when customers are out and ready to order. The sandwiches aren't bad but overpriced in my opinion. I was especially disappointed since I ordered the Italian HERO sub and it is supposed to come both turkey and roast beef but only was served with one because they ran out of the other yet they did not bother to mention that at all when I ordered or when I was given the sandwich. It is definitely a pet peeve of mine when restaurants do this and definitely decreases the value for me. For the chicken parm they do put the sauce on the side which is nice so you can choose how sauces you want it to be. read more

Incredible vegan meats, which make incredible vegan sandwiches. My wife & I ordered "the best vegan steak sandwich" ($18 plus tax) to split, which was pretty huge. The product they use for the "steak" is pretty incredible, tearing like real beef brisket, and marinated nicely, served with chimichurri, on fresh white, sesame seed-coated bread. Even though NYC is vast and filled with tons of options- we are missing a vegan butcher shop. Luckily for vegans it finally came! Upon entering it's so nicely decorated and it's really cute because it doesn't scream "butcher shop" but the complete opposite since it's completely adorned in flowers and after you get past the door there's tons of coffee and drink options that cater to a much more "delicate audience than a butcher shop's typical audience" I am a meat eater but my partner is not so we've been looking for a place with really great food and safe to say after having their meatball sub and the garlic chili noodles I am so impressed. The meatball sub actually taste like real meatballs. (I am an avid meatball eater) the garlic chili noodles were pretty authentic (a little more on the sweet side) to Asian cuisine I'm used to. For that I was already impressed they got both of these down. All of their food is sort of a fusion from like western (rigatoni+meatballs, charcuterie board, Nashville hot chicken sandwich, etc) to eastern / Asian (stir fry noodles, orange chicken). I just really appreciate that because that's all my partner ever wants to eat. I love that you can also get anything for the most part gluten free. All of the items that you can't find normally in a vegan restaurant will be here like fig salami, vegan cheeses made with different flavors from masala to truffle, amazing looking baguettes, your personal vegan meatloaf for friends/thanksgiving, fake lox and smoked ribs for a vegan cookout! To top it all off, the service here is really good and the people behind the counter was so nice and just made our time really quick and easy! When I first walked in, I thought I was in the wrong place--it looked just like a butcher shop. As I was about to leave, I realized that all the sausages and cheeses were vegan. Intrigued, I quickly turned around to check out the menu. The vegan mac and cheese is the best I've ever had--though not to be mistaken with Kraft. Thick, doughy noodles and a cheesy cashew sauce elevate it to a proper feast. The chicken Caesar wrap was delicious and healthy, featuring a great vegan dressing that captures the fresh garlic and creamy texture you want in a good Caesar. It was truly a salad stuffed into a tight wrap with plenty of grilled vegan chicken. The place has a very cute vibe, friendly staff, and there's nice people-watching from the outdoor seating. Stopped by around noon - I read about the meatball hero so I picked up one of those and a breakfast croissant sandwich per the recommendation of the person working there. I thought the meatball hero was going to be the clear winner but actually I enjoyed the croissant sandwich a little bit more. Don't get me wrong, the meatballs themselves were quite tasty but the bread was a bit soggy which made the whole thing hard to eat. I was expecting the bread to be fresh and crispy, but I was let down here. The croissant was a very solid choice. I would be down to come back and try a few other items another time.
