While other contractors wanted to bring in excavators for 12x the cost, Marcell and his crew hand dug the trench in compacted clay soil. The benefit of doing this was they were able to get as close to the fence line without disturbing the fence. Marcell's price was economical, quality of work exceeding my expectations and overall a reliable contractor which is challenging to find today. Hometown unilaterally decided to trim a tree in my yard because they deemed it too close to my neighbor's shed...DESPITE my neighbor EXPLICITLY telling them not to. In order to trim said tree, they also trespassed on my property to access the tree. The result was a very ugly, stumpy, lopsided tree on my property. It was so bad that I had to have it removed completely. Hometown said they would do this for free...well guess what...they never showed up and I finally had to have it removed by someone else. Now trying to get them to remunerate me for the situation they created, and they are refusing to do so. They will not put me in contact with the owners, and are no longer responding to communications. I have a feeling this is going to end up in court. STAY AWAY - FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER!

Jose and team did a great job bringing down five trees in my yard that were either diseased, too…read moreclose to the house, or dangling dangerously over the street. These were pretty large, 75-100 year old trees. It was a two day job but it went off without a hitch. They cleaned up nicely after themselves too, leaving fewer branches than were on the ground even before they started and they also swept them off my roof for good measure. While it's not ever going to be a cheap job, I think the price they charged was fair for a full two day job of dangerous work. (I don't even get on stepladders, these guys were 40 feet in the air! Yikes!) I would absolutely call them again if any of the other trees start misbehaving.

They had to use a crane to get the stump grinder over my wall, then use railroad ties to build a ramp to get it around my home, and they completed the job very quickly.
