Wow, Fidel and his team were amazing! A tree fell into another tree, both of which crushed our fence, deck and other structures. Alfaro's gave us a reasonable estimate and offered same-day service (8+ hours to ensure they completed the job) Very professional and did everything that we asked. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! You won't regret hiring Alfaro's Tree Expert for work on your property. read more

We have used Alfaro twice in the past year to remove several large trees for us including a giant oak right in front of our house. They have done outstanding work, cleaned up all debris, and offered the most competitive price. Great communication and transparency through the process. read more

I needed to remove a very large branch that was in a very awkward position above electrical lines and on the edge of damaging my neighbor's roof. Fidel came timely and was very responsive throughout the process. The quote was very honest and easy, and we even negotiated a last minute stump removal The team was very professional and cleaned up well. I highly recommend Alfaro's Tree Experts for any tree/branch removal you may need. read more

This company is excellent. The workers were polite, efficient and true experts. They were removing a large tree that was very close to our house and trimming other trees that were also hanging very close to our home. We had little to no inconvenience. This was a big messy job involving more than one tree but the cleanup was like nothing I had ever seen. Not a single leaf on the ground when they left and that tree drops leaves if you breathe near it. I've worked with them before and would continue to do so. The price was also excellent. read more

Alfaro's tree guys were great, fair priced and went above and beyond. They cleaned everything up once they were done.

Alfaros removed a 120 ft red oak tree that was in my backyard. My house is on a hill and is completely fenced in with many other large trees further complicating the job. The yard is extremely landscaped, and removal of the tree was difficult and required a highly experienced professional team. It was necessary to bring in a crane that was set over my three-story home and remove the tree over the roof. Alfaros completed the job in less than eight hours, removed all the wood, cleaned up all the sawdust, and left my yard and front in the same condition they found it minus one massive tree. The price was fair and the service was great. I highly recommend Alfaros read more

I used Alfaro's Tree Expert for gardening work last year, and I would not recommend anyone use this service. We spent close to $10,000 for bamboo removal, tree trimming, mulching, grass installation and tree and bush planting. The company came out and performed the services requested, but unfortunately the work was shoddy. The bamboo removal didn't take, and while they came back to try to fix it, they failed to replace the barrier that was in place to prevent future growth. This of course caused the bamboo to resume growing. For over a year, I engaged Mr. Alfaro to come back and replace the barrier that his workers removed to get rid of the bamboo. To date, he continues to gaslight me about the existence of the barrier and refuses to come back to remove the growing bamboo and re-install the barrier. We still have part of the barrier sitting in our backyard. This wasn't the only poorly completed aspect of the project. He was contracted to remove a wisteria plant in our yard and grind the roots so that it does not return. That also didn't take as a new wisteria plant has started to grow. Finally, he was asked to evenly plant eight bushes along our fence line. Unfortunately, that project wasn't done well either as one of the bushes was leaning against another and while he came back to fix it, the bushes aren't correctly spaced. I urge folks to stay away from Alfaro's Tree Expert, as they don't perform services well and refuse to operate in an ethical manner. read more

They removed a huge oak tree that was between two houses and very hard to get to. Watching the team work was watching a ballet. Was a very smooth operation. Very professional. Price was very competitive and fair. Clean up was amazing. read more

I represent a pool club with a large wooded area in the back that borders Montgomery County land. One of the trees on our property line was hanging over county land and a neighbor's house. Alfaros was the best company we dealt with in getting estimates, a timeline for the work, and being honest about what the work entailed. They came out quickly, gave us a great quote, and promptly responded later in the day about when they would be able to get the job done. On the appointed day, they showed up on time, did the work, cleaned up, and left with us and the neighbor satisfied with how it went. I cannot recommend them enough. Next time the pool or I myself need tree work, I will only call Alfaros Tree Experts. read more

We recently bought a house and the tree in the backyard was covered in Ivy, to the point of the actual tree was unrecognizable. It was actually a Cedar tree. We sent out a bunch of quotes through yelp and Alfaros had the quickest response to schedule an estimate. Alfaro quickly calmed our suspicions it was poison ivy and gave us a fair price on tree and stump removal and other tree clean up that had ivy on it. Once we schedule the appointment Alfaro workers were very professional and worked rather quickly on removing and cleaning our yard. I highly recommend this company if you want a fair price for work, even my neighbor scheduled them to come remove his tree. read more

We had a great experience with Alfaro's Tree Service. They were able to access our huge old dying oak tree with their crane. The team was conscientious about keeping our yard from being damaged and they did a great job cleaning up the debris. We wanted the wood for our wood stove, and they placed it where we could easily get it to split and stack. Their payment process was easy, and we were amazed at the price. It was so much better than our other quotes. I can't say enough about our positive experience. read more

We used Alfaros a few years ago, and this summer, a day and a half before going away for three weeks, a tree fell into our yard, partially landing in our pool. Alfaros came on the first day we were away, and, worked with me remotely, gave us an estimate and proceeded to remove the tree for a reasonable price, cleaning up the site so restoration could begin. They did a great job. Because of all the trees in my yard, I do fear I'll be using them again, but I won't hesitate to do so. read more

Excellent service. Few years ago, they removed two huge tulip poplars in my backyard with a big crane parked in my neighbour's' driveway. Last falls they came back to trim maple trees in my backyard. I recommend Alfaro Tree Experts. read more

Alfaro provided me with a competitive quote; they were easy to work with and the quality of work was solid and on time.

We wanted to get our large maple tree trimmed. We received several quotes. Half of the companies told us we needed to remove the tree. Alfaro was one who told us we could trim it and add a new cable instead, which we wanted to do. Their quote was very reasonable. Most other companies stopped responding to me after the recent storms we got. Alfaro came next day for an estimate and was able to do the work within the week. They were very careful and did not mess up our grass at all. read more

I am sharing this review on behalf of my mother: "I am a senior who has lived in Bethesda for 21 years. After interviewing a few tree service companies, I chose Alfaro's Tree Experts in Gaithersburg. Mr. Fidel, the owner, readily provided his license and insurance information to me and is a pleasant and extremely competent professional. The tree is my neighbor's and is on the property line. Mr. Fidel and I went together and spoke to my neighbor, and Mr. Fidel walked us to the tree and explained in detail which branches would be trimmed, assured that only the branches on my side of the property line would be trimmed, and agreed to not climb the tree but instead use as crane, per my neighbor's request. He was very accommodating to both our needs. His price was fair, and he and his staff were extremely timely, competent, professional, and neat. I highly recommend them." read more

We used Alfaro's team to remove a gargantuan tree from our backyard. They were a pleasure to work with. And the price was amazing! We got other bids, but Alfaro's was best by far. Great service all around. read more

Fidel arrived immediately after I contacted them and made us an offer on the spot which we readily accepted as he was similar to other offers, but he had more equipment, i.e. a huge crane that did an incredible job. He also gave me more confidence in what he would do than other reps that I talked to. The Alfaro crew were extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and the hardest working 5 individuals that I have encountered in years. They did exactly what Fidel contracted with us, cleanup was outstanding and there were no damages to our property. We highly recommend Alfaro Tree Experts. read more
