This company is excellent. The workers were polite, efficient and true experts. They were removing a large tree that was very close to our house and trimming other trees that were also hanging very close to our home. We had little to no inconvenience. This was a big messy job involving more than one tree but the cleanup was like nothing I had ever seen. Alfaros removed a 120 ft red oak tree that was in my backyard. My house is on a hill and is completely fenced in with many other large trees further complicating the job. The yard is extremely landscaped, and removal of the tree was difficult and required a highly experienced professional team. It was necessary to bring in a crane that was set over my three-story home and remove the tree over the roof. Alfaros completed the job in less than eight hours, removed all the wood, cleaned up all the sawdust, and left my yard and front in the same condition they found it minus one massive tree. I used Alfaro's Tree Expert for gardening work last year, and I would not recommend anyone use this service. We spent close to $10,000 for bamboo removal, tree trimming, mulching, grass installation and tree and bush planting. The company came out and performed the services requested, but unfortunately the work was shoddy. The bamboo removal didn't take, and while they came back to try to fix it, they failed to replace the barrier that was in place to prevent future growth. This of course caused the bamboo to resume growing. For over a year, I engaged Mr. Alfaro to come back and replace the barrier that his workers removed to get rid of the bamboo. To date, he continues to gaslight me about the existence of the barrier and refuses to come back to remove the growing bamboo and re-install the barrier. We still have part of the barrier sitting in our backyard. This wasn't the only poorly completed aspect of the project. He was contracted to remove a wisteria plant in our yard and grind the roots so that it does not return. That also didn't take as a new wisteria plant has started to grow. Finally, he was asked to evenly plant eight bushes along our fence line. Unfortunately, that project wasn't done well either as one of the bushes was leaning against another and while he came back to fix it, the bushes aren't correctly spaced. I urge folks to stay away from Alfaro's Tree Expert, as they don't perform services well and refuse to operate in an ethical manner. read more

We recently bought a house and the tree in the backyard was covered in Ivy, to the point of the actual tree was unrecognizable. It was actually a Cedar tree. We sent out a bunch of quotes through yelp and Alfaros had the quickest response to schedule an estimate.
