After calling majority of the tree removal companies on Yelp and a couple off Craigslist, I…read morereceived several quotes, which some were completely ridiculous, on removing a giant oak tree in my backyard. Chris from CNC Tree Services was kind enough to call back in a timely manner. He not only allowed me to negotiate a very reasonable price, but was extremely honest and straight forward about everything. His positive attitude and professionalism was not overlooked. He was adamant about being careful and respectful to both my neighbors and my property, when removing the tree. The space was extremely tight but Chris and his team managed to take down the tree and grind the stump with finesse. I highly recommend CNC to anyone who's looking to remove a tree in any size or shape. Thanks again Chris!

The…read moreindividual and I went around the property twice to confirm everything who then went with his wife twice around the property as she wrote up the quote. I was informed that I would be called to schedule when the work would begin and that the trees would be identified for the crew. Problem #1: Trees were never identified for the crew; work is done that is not part of the quote. Problem #2: Crew showed up unannounced on two consecutive days. Problem #3: Because the proper work was not done ahead of time work was done that was not part what was agreed upon and the owner (Cody) starts bellyaching about losing money. The owner also complained about the amount of overhead he has which had nothing to do with the work he was hired to do. Problem #4: Owner decided to get paid for what had been completed and walk away from the remainder of the job. CNC Tree Service came recommended by someone else in my neighborhood so I thought finally a reputable tree service. How wrong I was . . . not even close to being reputable.

Not only was their quote the lowest of the 4 other companies I called in, but their level of expertise, service and attitude was second to none. Northern Woods cut down several pine trees, vines, other undesirable small trees, pruning other bushes and branches. This was done with a team who did this all in one day. Other companies had quoted me multiple days of work. As an arborist, Robert knew exactly how to direct his team.
