I hired GW Tree Service to do some landscaping work at a rental property I was preparing for sale. They did what we agreed on for the price we agreed on. They were reasonably priced, on time, professional and did a good job. That is exactly what I was looking for in a landscaping company. Months later, there was a wet snow storm and I have one large tree come down and some large branches from another come down. I again hired GW Tree Service to come cut up and haul away the downed tree and climb and prune/trim the tree that lost branches. Once again they were reasonably priced, on time, professional and did a good job. I'm going to hire them in the spring to do mulching around my house. I used GW for "Spring Cleanup" which included weeding, mulching, and pruning. I am usually too lazy to leave reviews, but Wilfredo and his co-worked did such a fantastic job I wanted to leave them positive feedback. First off, their price was very reasonable and fair. I was a little concerned that they would rush the job or skimp on the amount of mulch. They arrived with a big truck full of mulch, so that concern was alleviated. As they started to prune, I couldn't believe how much care they took in making sure the bushes and shrubs looked good and even. I have used many different companies over the years, and they always rushed through the job and didn't take time to care about how the bushes looked. I could tell Wilfredo and his coworker have pride in their work. I highly recommend them for any yard work required. I will definitely use them again next spring (and maybe even the fall!). read more

I don't like leaving negative review but I also don't like paying 2 companies to do the work and that's what's about to happen here. I got 5 estimates because I had 2 fallen trees in my yard. I also wanted a couple of other smaller trees cut down and I had severe overgrown bushes that I wanted removed. They did fine in cutting up the fallen trees and cutting down the other trees. I opted not to include stump removal for the trees they cut down but expected them to remove stumps for the fallen trees since the roots were already exposed and no longer in the ground. My big issues are they didn't didn't take time to rake or clean the area in the corner after cutting down the overgrown bushes. They didn't clean up and left several logs in my yard for me to remove. Also, they didn't accept credit cards and wanted payment by cash or Venmo only. If you're doing a job well over $1000, why wouldn't you accept credit cards? Again, fine at cutting down trees but not very detail oriented. I should've known better because they didn't provide a written estimate like the other companies and I'm still awaiting my receipt that they promised to send. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company and I will have to hire another company to finish the work. I'm attaching a a few picture where the didn't rake up the leaves from the overgrown bushes and some of the logs left in the yard. read more

Will was able to check the lawn that afternoon, and he offered some recommendations on what materials to use. He offered to do the job at a good price and in a timely manner, and he sent a written quote detailing every phase of the project. Will is very pleasant and courteous, and while doing the job, he asked several times what I thought of the work so far. The project was pruning ten feet tall and overgrown bushes down to 2 feet and hauling away all the debris amounting to two very full trucks. They were quick to contact me to schedule an estimate and arrived on time. Their estimate was very reasonable, mid-way between 3 others. They are very business oriented and promptly emailed the work date, arrival times and contact information. They arrived on time on the work day and immediately went to work for several hours with very few breaks. They did a really great job and checked with me several times to make sure they were doing what I wanted. We had them remove several overgrown bushes from our landscaping and trim trees, including several large branches from a neighbor's tree that were over our property. The crew used ropes to carefully lower the large branches since it was near our fence. Willy was very responsive and was able to do our job within a few days. There was some miscommunication--I had asked him to thin out the branches of a cherry tree in our front yard to allow more light to the garden & lawn underneath. Instead, they sheared back the length of several branches on one side of the tree. It opened up the garden to more light, but now the tree is a bit lopsided. He sent someone to grind out stumps and that person missed a stump. It's not a big deal because we have other bushes we also need removed, so I'll just have him do that stump at the same time. We should've done a better job of checking the work before they left. read more
