We were craving dessert after a late meal in Gardena area and found this via a quick Yelp Search…read more This was my first time trying a Bingsoo so I had no idea what to expect. We went in and the place was really busy. They were sold out on all Tiramisus and a lot of flavors . We got the Strawberry Bingsoo and it was great. Amazingly thin and soft layer of shaved ice with strawberries. This is one of the best desserts I've had. Absolutely Loved it. I will be checking out more Bingsoo spots now. Its my new favorite dessert !!

She ordered for us - we picked matcha, mango and sweet corn. We also added tiramisu afterwards. The shaved ice is soft like clouds and almost creamy in texture. You dig in and there's more fruit underneath. Out of the 3 I'll rank sweet corn as the highest, next mango last matcha. Sweet corn nailed down all the elements I want because of the crunchy toppings. But they have so many other flavors so if I ever go back to this area I'll try the other ones. Tiramisu is also a good option if you don't want shaved ice. The place is crowded with groups and for a place that has fluorescent lighting it did not matter as I noticed customers stayed and we also ended up being here for over 1.5+ hours. Maybe that's why they have Stevie wonder "overjoyed" on continuous play? Is that a ploy to get customers out? It didn't work for us and made us laugh until we cried because it played endlessly for 27 times!!! So yes 1 star less for a broken playlist or whatever sound system they use.

My friend shared some of her Khao Soi with me and it was equally comforting with its deeply savory curry taste. We finished the meal with some mango sticky rice and it was a lovely sweet touch! The ripe mango and sweet coconut rice were delicious, even if a quick sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds on top would have made it perfection.

Thai desserts after Thai food for lunch? And it's right next door? Yes, please!…read more Parking: Free parking lot. They're located in one of the oldest plazas in Gardena. The Pacific Square has high foot traffic, especially on the weekends. Finding an open parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They're located right next to Bowl Grill Thai. My cousin and I hopped over after having lunch. Sweet Rice is more for breakfast and desserts. They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. Service: The cashier that assisted us was nice, quick, & efficient. Desserts: I got the Taro & Tapioca Pudding and Mango Sticky Rice. The pudding came with a generous amount of small tapioca pearls. The taro flavor was slight, and it wasn't overly sweet. I loooved the mango sticky rice. The mangoes were fresh, and the rice was cooked and drenched perfectly. Pricing: A bit on the higher end, but it's okay to treat yourself once in a while! We'll definitely be back!

The place has this classic ice cream shop feel with pastel aesthetics mixed into a modern clean vibe which mixes practicality with style. I LOVE the glass panel decoration and the front decor which are simple details yet convenient decoration. The options have an interesting range in diversity, from ice cream and drinks. Their combinations are so unique, blending trendy flavors like matcha, honey, and many more delicious flavors. My favorite flavor I have tried so far, was the Dalgona Affogato--which I picked because I was thinking of the squid games. The dessert was so smooth but the honey was slightly overbearing. If that is not to your preference, they have other options that can certainly fit to your taste buds. The ice cream is perfectly sweet and an excellent treat in this summer weather. The honey crisps placed on top of the ice were so little, which I wished they had a bit more since it tasted so good with the smooth ice cream. Another thing I hoped was for the affogato to be a bit bigger portion. But then again, I am unsure about the sizings of affogato since this is my first time trying it. Thank you Honeymee Gardena for the experiance, hoping to try more in the future. (Update: Making this edit because I accidentally spelled the cafe name wrong in my previous review which I apologize for. The typo was made because when I was writing the review, I was also very busy so I wrote everything in a hurry and wasn't able to make changes. And yes, this update took so long to be made because when I write reviews, especially in this case, I often do different reviews all at once.)

Dol is located in a busy strip mall, so the free parking directly in front can be a little tight, but there is additional parking around the shopping center. When you walk in, the space is open and spacious with plenty of seating and tables. I've seen customers working on their laptops, as well as groups sitting together, laughing and enjoying their drinks. It has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. Ordering is easy. The menu is displayed above the counter, and they also have handheld menus available. I had a few questions, and the cashier was very helpful in helping me narrow down what I wanted. You can customize the sweetness level of your drink and add extras like boba. Once you decide, you place and pay for your order using the ordering screen. The prices are reasonable, the drink sizes are generous, and the wait isn't long. They usually bring your order right to you. My favorite so far is the Coco Matcha. I enjoyed it so much that I've already been back! Dol specializes in Vietnamese coffee drinks, but they have plenty of other options as well. Definitely worth stopping by. You just might find yourself coming back like I did!

I don't often write bad reviews but this was very upsetting to hear. Writing this on behalf of my…read moreSO since he doesn't have a yelp account. This happened on 9/7 around 12:45PM. It was his first time going to Beard Papa because there is a Persona collab currently going on. Purchased a 4 pack of the collab cream puffs from an older male employee working there. There were communication issues because the worker couldn't understand the simple order. Eventually my SO got his order, paid and left. He brought them home to eat, took one bite of the cream puff (Joker themed strawberry cheesecake-filled cream puff) only to find the filling was just plain vanilla. Understandably upset because this wasn't what he paid for, he went back to get replacements because now we can't trust that the others have the correct filling either. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any other employees/management present so my SO had to confront this same male employee. No apologies or anything for the mistake. Instead he kept repeatedly doubling down about how he wasn't told that my SO wanted something different. The onus should NOT be on the customer to just KNOW that the fillings can be changed. Especially if it's their first time visiting. Nor does it make sense that the DEFAULT filling for the collab pastries should be anything other than advertised. My SO had to raise his voice and demand replacements, and this employee threw a tantrum by rolling his eyes and tossing the old ones with an attitude. You don't belong in customer service if you can't handle simple orders and taking accountability. He seriously needs to be retrained/disciplined/fired. SOMETHING. This man was awful and rude and this is absolutely unacceptable behavior.

There was a steady stream of customers while we were there. Ok, bye.

It starts with one of the chefs enthusiastically showing me and my wife some of the A5 Wagyu that he'd be using from Japan and I'm like, "sir. I know wagyu." I took my wife to The Cut on our first Valentines together (not compensating) and they had good Wagyu. I was wrong, dear readers. Dead wrong. This place knows Wagyu. Whichever tier you get, make sure it either comes with, or add on the A5 Wagyu Filet. They'll tell you to cook it 45 seconds each side (so 6 times), but here's a trick. do 45 seconds on four sides (the top, bottom, and the long sides), and then a bit of salt if you need it and some lemon slice. ADD THE LEMON JUICE!! BUT NOT TOO MUCH. That will take you out. You're welcome peasants. Think of me when you try it. Or don't. I might be pooping and I don't like the idea of people thinking of me while I poo. The server was awesome too. I didn't catch her name because I was too busy being a fatass.

I chose the Wagyu Omakase, and it was definitely a big and filling meal. You cook each piece of wagyu one by one at the counter, so this is a great place if you want to slow down, enjoy the process, and really take your time with dinner. The meat was very good, although some pieces were more heavily marinated than I personally prefer, but overall it wasn't too much. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, and the whole experience felt very Japanese and authentic. The surrounding area also has quite a few authentic Japanese restaurants, so it's a great neighborhood for Japanese food lovers. Definitely worth checking out if you love wagyu and want something a little different from the usual sushi omakase!
