We are 100% happy customers (-: We requested for all of our different palm trees, box shrubs, and podocarpus hedge to be trimmed back (all if not most were at least 2-3 stories tall). The crew was on time, extremely efficicent and communicative. Everyone was very mindful of our neighbors fence, property, roof line and powerlines. Everyone had PPE on and were so incredibly safe when scaling the trees and hedges. Clean up was very thorough. Majority of our fronds and hedge were processed by the chipper and hauled. Our neighbor was so impressed with the crew he also hired them on the spot to take care of his street tree. It is impressive how much green waste we produced that day. Luckily the city picks up yard trimings on the street so his crew broke down anything else we had to sizeable chunks and neatly piled for SJ GreenWaste to pick up. We will be happy to call them again for yearly tree maintenance service.

He set a time for the estimate, let me know he was on the way, and arrived at the time agreed. Joseph inspected my yard areas with me and had some ideas that I hadn't considered. He gave a competitive estimate, including an accurate timeframe when his crew would arrive. His team also arrived on time. They're equipped like professionals, including all their gear and grinders. They look like they've been working together for a long time as they were quite efficient. They collected all the scraps and blew away all the debris so my yard looks really clean. After they left, Joseph did a walkthrough with me to make sure everything was done right. Thanks so much. I'll definitely call you guys again when I need more work done.

Sean took care of filing the permit for the street tree and worked within my schedule. The crew arrived on time and did a great job expertly extracting the plum tree, grinding down the main trunk and a lateral root. They took their time to remove dead wood areas and shape the larger trees to comply with city regulations but still retain shape and shade. Same was done with the shrubs/trees in the backyard, improving spacing from the house and reducing height to not block solar panels. All debris was removed and ground up in their wood chipper. Very pleased with the results, see photos attached. I continue to recommend Sean and his team!

Who else has uncooperative, unfriendly neighbors with massive trees that dump endless debris into…read moreyour yard and pool? Or they have branches that present a fire hazard and are close to your roof, giving animals a perfect highway to your attic? We were dealing with it all!! Armed with the city's municipal code and state case law, I researched property lines, talked to the neighbors, and called seven different tree companies. Zazueta Tree Specialists was already at the top of my list when my neighbor mentioned they had just used them and were 100% happy. That sealed the deal for me!! Carlos Zazueta--the super friendly, highly skilled owner and certified arborist--gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we excitedly scheduled our day of freedom from these invasive trees! The crew arrived at 7:30 AM sharp in a clean, professional logo truck with a serious wood chipper. After reviewing the plan to trim back five encroaching trees with Carlos and my hubby's guidance, they got straight to work. Their performance was meticulous, fast, and exacting. The crew (shoutout to Alex & Juan!) was incredibly friendly, professional and engaging When we asked. They left us with clear airspace, a spotless yard, and TOTAL PIECE OF MIND! We were so impressed with Carlos's expertise, professionalism, and customer service that we've already engaged his family's landscaping division (Zazueta Landscaping) to assess our entire front and backyard for a complete re-do. Save yourself the hours of overkill research I already did and just call them!!! You wibe so glad you did! P.S. In the "after" photo of the massive oak tree, it might look like the top branches weren't cut back entirely. Carlos explained that they always prioritize the long-term health of the tree. We got the safety and clearance we needed without harming the tree!

They arrived early to stage their gear and vehicles for an on-time 8:00 AM start. Price was great, service was great, and Marcos was easy to work with from initial interaction through completion. I will bring them back to thin out the canopies in a year or two. One more thing worth noting - during our initial walkthrough I mentioned the new pavers on the ~70' long driveway. Marcos assured me that they would be careful and would pull the large truck only to the end of the driveway ramp. Not only did they do this, but they also brought a bunch of plywood to protect the driveway from tree branches and equipment. Nice touch!

Today, we wanted to have the same people come back out and were happy to discover that they were still around and rebranded as Tree Cherubs. Tory remembered our tree and was happy that we remembered him, too. Once again, he showed his knowledge and understanding of the tree and, again, didn't allow any climbers with shoe spikes for fear of damaging the tree. They took great care in protecting the plants and property below. They worked efficiently and quickly and did a fantastic job for a very good price given the large amount of work they needed to accomplish. They left the yard clean and neat and did a wonderful job at not cutting too much or just topping the tree like so many other tree trimming companies do. We highly recommend using Tree Cherubs (formally We Care Tree Care) and will be using them again in the future.
